It's Love That Blinds Him
It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 77

Lucia had been staying at Kenneth’s house for the past few days. She didn’t know if it was the new place, or if it wasn’t Malcolm with her, but she was unable to sleep properly. No matter what time she went to bed the night before, she woke up the next morning at a specific time. Therefore, Lucia took the responsibility of opening the cafe’s roller door.

And in just a few days, she began to love the sound of the door opening every morning because it made her feel like a new day had started. Slowly, more people started walking down the road. A feeling of fullness filled his heart.

Maybe she was a busy person, and keeping busy was the only thing that could make her feel alive.

She continued to move around the cafe, going back and forth. She felt like she could only forget her problems by hustling. She ignored the look coming from behind her.

Renee failed to change Malcolm’s mind, so she had to take the blame and resign from her job at SNG Radio. After his departure, Malcolm withdrew his proposal to terminate the contract. Evans Group continued to cooperate with SNG Radio. It seemed that everything that happened before was just a small episode, and after the protagonist left, everyone began to live their lives.

However, Renee didn’t want to give up, so she continued looking for a way to get revenge. The pain of failure and humiliation was just too much for her to swallow. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t run into Malcolm or Lucia.

And like all rumors, it was true that he loved his wife very much. He would do anything to protect her. He didn’t want anyone to bother his wife.

He was madly in love with her.

And it was that same thought that pissed Renee off. The love that had belonged to him now belonged to another woman. However, she didn’t realize that she was the one who gave up on her love in the first place.

And sometimes people have found treasures just through sheer luck. Just as Renee was waiting for her investigator to replace out where Malcolm and Lucia were, she spotted Lucia in the cafe she was at.

“Why is she here by herself?” According to the outside world, they’re inseparable, so shouldn’t Malcolm be with her now?’ Renee wondered. Watching Lucia busily working in the cafe, she gave her a cruel smile.

Once Lucia finished arranging the last chair, Jon came out of the kitchen with breakfast and Kenneth followed. Lucia sniffed the delicious aroma of the food, excitedly walked over to the bar and sat down on one of the stools.

“Lucie… Why are you so rude?” Kenneth asked, shaking his head with a helpless look.

Lucia crossed her legs and took a big sip of coffee. She then stuffed an entire sandwich into her mouth and started chewing it roughly.

“It’s not like this is the first time we’ve met. That’s who I am!” Lucia said while eating.

It was possible that environments could truly change a person. While Lucia was with Malcolm, she became more elegant and cautious. You’re bound to have a slip of the tongue if he talks too much.

After all, she felt like a canary freed and flying across the vast, blurry sky for the first time. She was finally herself again. However, she was the only one who knew that she was only using her casual attitude to hide the deep hurt in her heart. She was only trying to prove that she could live the life she once had. She also realized that her past was gone and could never come back. His living persona was nothing more than a memory.

“If you really want to let go of the past, then you need to break free, Lucia,” Kenneth blurted.

Hearing this, Lucia remained silent. She continued to focus all her attention on the food on her plate. Once she finished eating, she got up, turned around and walked up the stairs. In the office where she lived, she chose the novel she was reading and continued reading it. Kenneth couldn’t help but let out a helpless sigh as he watched her climb the stairs.

And as always, time passed. The cafe was buzzing with customers after lunchtime. The snacks and drinks served there have attracted many employees from neighboring businesses. As a result, there was always a long line of people outside the cafe. Lucia came down to eat and help Kenneth. By the time the customers had left, she looked at the clock and saw that it was already past two o’clock. She grabbed the coffee Kenneth had made and headed to her usual seat.

Inadvertently, she would sometimes glance out the window. She hadn’t seen Lowell in a while. The man who was always there for her when she was sad suddenly disappeared. Thinking about it, Lucia couldn’t help but feel lost. “Am I feeling this way because I don’t want to be alone? » she wondered.

“There’s a delivery for Lucia Garcia. Where can I replace her?”

Noticing everyone’s strange looks, the delivery man raised his hand and pointed to the package. He then repeated himself. Kenneth and Jon immediately turned to Lucia. Lucie was confused. “Who would know I’m here?” And who would send me a package? Looking confused, she walked over to the delivery guy, took the package from him, signed her name and returned to her seat.

Kenneth and Jon exchanged glances before approaching her. Lucia had come there without making a phone call, and they only found out when they saw her. So there was no way anyone else would know she was there.

Lucia looked at them before motioning for them to sit down. She then opened the package with great care and took out the contents. There were just a bunch of pictures of Renee and Malcolm.

With an indifferent look, Lucia looked at the photos one by one. Renee and Malcolm looked very young in the photos, probably in their late teens or early twenties. They looked intimate and passionate. Additionally, Malcolm’s smile in these photos was very sincere, as if he was smiling from the bottom of his heart.

Lucia didn’t have to be remarkably intelligent to understand the nature of their relationship from these photos. She wasn’t the type of person who cared much about people’s pasts, because everyone had something they didn’t want to talk about. The only thing she wanted was his loyalty. And she subconsciously remembered Malcolm and Renee kissing at the restaurant that night.

“How ridiculous!” »

She finally understood the meaning of Renée’s curious look at the banquet. “She declared that Malcolm belonged to her, and not to me. It’s as if she was announcing war to me.

That’s when she noticed there was no sender’s name or address on the package. But she didn’t have to guess to know who it was. Lucia was not stupid. She knew who must have sent it. “How does Renee know where I am?”

Only Malcolm and his family know about the deal between us. How does she know? Is it just a coincidence? Or did Malcolm tell him? So even after assuring me that he would take care of everything, he couldn’t wait to reconcile with his ex?’

Silently, she put the photos away, even the ones she hadn’t checked. She then went upstairs. Kenneth was about to stop him, but Jon covered his mouth and shook his head. He nodded and they both watched as Lucia disappeared down the second floor.

After returning to the office, she felt so depressed as if someone she loved had just slapped her. She lay back on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. She then poured all the photos out of the package. She felt like these photos were making fun of her for being so stupid.

But then one photo in particular caught his eye. She picked it up and studied it carefully. There were other people in the photo besides Malcolm and Renee. It looked like a photo taken at a college club. After looking carefully, she recognized the person in the corner. It was Zack.

‘Zack knows Malcolm? Did they meet for business? Or have they always known each other? Thinking about this, Lucia remembered everything Zack had told her.

‘What joke!’ Lucy chuckled. Apparently Zack had warned her a long time ago. She was stupid for jumping into Malcolm’s trap without even knowing it. Suddenly something occurred to him. “Does Zack know about everything, then?” » She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

” Lucy? What’s the problem?” Zack asked hoarsely.

‘It’s still early in the morning. Why is she calling me now?’ he asked himself.

“When did you know Malcolm?” Lucia asked casually.

“Where did that come from? We went to the same high school in the United States, then the same college. Why do you want to know?” Her question brought Zack back to reality. ‘This is strange! Sophia and Lucia asked about Malcolm.

“You know him well, don’t you?” asked Lucy.

“Well, sort of, but he’s too reserved to be understood. What is it about?” Zack replied cautiously.

Lucia was about to ask more when she heard a woman’s voice coming from the other end of the line. Lucia knew she had made a mistake calling him at a strange hour.

“I just wanted to know something, and now I know. You can continue what you were doing,” Lucia teased, laughing.

“Hey…” Zack was speechless.

The women’s moods turned faster than the pages of a book. After Lucia hung up, he turned around and continued to cuddle the woman next to him. Since he was awake now, it would be a shame if he didn’t make love to her.

At the same time, Lucia continued to stare at the photos on her table. She didn’t feel hurt at all. She couldn’t describe how she felt about it. After all, there were feelings that could not be described in simple terms.

Meanwhile, Kenneth saw Lowell enter the store and walked towards him with an excited smile. Lowell felt that this was strange, so he ignored it and headed towards where he would normally replace Lucia. But to his great surprise, Lucia was not there.

“Are you looking for Lucie? She’s upstairs,” Kenneth said.

“Upstairs?” There was an obvious hint of surprise in Lowell’s tone.

“Yes. She has been staying here for a few days. Wait, I’ll ask him to come down.” With that, Kenneth turned and walked up the stairs.

Lowell watched Kenneth’s retreating figure, lost in thought. ‘Lucia stays here with him…Is he Did something happen that I don’t know about?

Everything seems to have changed suddenly.
