It's Love That Blinds Him
It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 90

The sunlight was exceptionally dazzling in Alexandria, Egypt. Plus, the sun was still scorching, even though it was late fall. There was a sharp drop in temperature during the morning and evening periods. So people could generally experience three seasons a day. Donning a pair of sunglasses to block out the scorching sunlight, Malcolm entered the car the driver had prepared. Byron quickly sat in the passenger seat before leaving for Antonio’s villa under Malcolm’s instructions.

Outside the window, the famous pyramids of Egypt flashed by. However, Malcolm didn’t care about the scenery outside the window. He was so lost in thought that he unconsciously lowered his head. With his eyes closed, it was hard to guess what he was thinking.

“Sir, will you take our men with you? » Byron asked respectfully as he waited for further instructions from Malcolm.

“No. That’s not necessary,” Malcolm said coldly.

“But…”

Byron wanted to say something more, but when he looked in the rearview mirror, he saw Malcolm with his eyes closed, so he bit back his words. “Maybe I’m overthinking this.” How did Mr. Evans intentionally put himself in danger without knowing it?

Soon they arrived at Antonio’s house. Antonio’s villa looked like those of other rich people with its white walls and red bricks. His house was not grand, but it had complete facilities. It contained a swimming pool, a basketball court, and even a mini-golf practice range. The only marked difference was the armed bodyguards standing inside and outside the villa compared to the other villas.

The car stopped in front of the villa gate. The bodyguards came forward to inspect them. However, after receiving instructions from their superior, they respectfully bowed and allowed Malcolm’s car to enter the compound. They even dutifully guided the driver to park the car in a suitable location.

Byron got out of the car first, and walking to the back door, he opened it for Malcolm. Malcolm walked out, still wearing his sunglasses. Putting a hand in his pocket, he casually took the lead, followed by Byron. The bodyguards in the villa were surprised to see someone dare to enter alone without bodyguards or weapons.

Antonio stood at the door, waiting for Malcolm. Seeing Malcolm with his own eyes, he couldn’t hide his surprise. After all, he had never seen the master of the Evans family in the more than ten years they had worked together. Although he knew that Malcolm was not old, he was still shocked by the extremely handsome and young man standing before him.

Antonio couldn’t see any trace of Malcolm’s darkness. He just looked like an ordinary businessman. But even with the sunglasses, his piercing eyes couldn’t be hidden.

“I’m quite surprised to see that you are so young, Mr. Evans!” Antonio spoke with appreciation in his eyes. “

I’m flattered,” Malcolm said calmly.

“Come in!”

Antonio then turned and walked inside into the house. Malcolm followed him. Byron looked at the bodyguards stationed at the door and was a little taken aback when they didn’t try to search them. However, he quickly adjusted his mood and entered the house. “Why “Didn’t they do the routine inspection at the gate? What if we took weapons with us? Is it useless because they outnumber us? Byron didn’t relax his vigilance for a minute.

Antonio sat in his seat while Malcolm sat across from him. Byron stood dutifully behind Malcolm and looked around cautiously.

“I heard that your Latin American raw materials were also destroyed. So , my question is, how are we going to trade in two weeks?” Looking at Malcolm with discerning eyes, Antonio got straight to the point and spoke without any politeness in his voice.

“Hmm…Since you came to see me, I assume you have a solution to this dilemma. Why don’t you tell me what’s on your mind?” Malcolm deflected Antonio’s question by asking one of his own.

Antonio’s eyes sparkled as he stared at Malcolm. He was well informed of previous transgressions. So he knew that Malcolm had killed John a few months ago when he tried to play dirty. So, he wasn’t crazy enough to fight Malcolm in Egypt. Additionally, seventy percent of his assets came from the Evans family. And only the Evans family could produce medicines of such quality. Antonio was only a drug dealer in Latin America and he didn’t want his road to getting rich interrupted.

Unfortunately, lately there have been many problems with the medications Malcolm provided. He had to meet Malcolm to replace a solution. There were many sub-dealers he couldn’t afford to piss off. So if he didn’t deliver the goods on time, it was possible that they would team up to take care of him, which would make it dangerous for Antonio to stay in Latin America.

“Negotiation time is not the problem. I have confidence in the strength of the Evans family. So, postponing the transaction for two or three weeks is not a big problem. I just need a guarantee on my strength and my security in Latin America,” said Antonio.

This request took Malcolm by surprise. “Antonio is not asking for compensation. He only wants assurance that his position in Latin America will be protected. If that’s the case, then what is the purpose of the person who destroyed the drug supplies over and over again?’ Looking down, Malcolm continued to contemplate this situation. ‘It seems Antonio isn’t the one behind this. Did I assume wrongly? »

Antonio couldn’t help but feel anxious seeing the indifferent expression on Malcolm’s face. The Evans family was famous for their coldness and cruelty. Of course, Antonio wasn’t as stupid as John to think he could play dirty in front of Malcolm. In addition, he also heard that a new gang had been continuously hostile to the Evans family. But that wasn’t his concern.

“I will give you the goods in three weeks. I will also stay in Alexandria for that duration. As for your sub-dealers, postpone all transactions with them for a week. If they have a problem with this, tell them to come see me.” Malcolm said coldly after much guesswork.

“Mr. Evans, I admire you very much,” Antonio said with a smile.

Ignoring him, Malcolm got up and walked out the door. Byron followed closely. The bodyguards at the door did not stop them. Unexpectedly, Malcolm and Byron heard Antonio’s next words as they walked down the stairs.

“Sir. Evans! As far as I know, the people who destroyed your raw materials are not gang members. They are from another group. Unfortunately, I don’t know who they are. And if I’m not mistaken no, their purpose is to delay you. As for the reason behind this, I haven’t figured it out yet. I hope this information can help you in some way!” Antonio looked at Malcolm’s retreating figure.

Malcolm stopped and turned back to Antonio. There was an unreadable expression in his eyes. Without saying anything, Malcolm turned around once more and continued forward. The driver had already driven the car to the front gate. Stepping forward, Byron opened the door and Malcolm entered the vehicle. Malcolm took one last meaningful look at Antonio’s villa before closing his eyes to rest as the driver started the car and drove off.

“Byron, tell Finn what Antonio said and have him check it out,” Malcolm suddenly ordered.

“Yes sir!” Byron immediately took out his phone and sent a message to Finn.

“If they’re not gang members, then who could they be? » Malcolm couldn’t forget Antonio’s words. “Are they delaying me so they can achieve something big? He is in S City, but has not taken any action yet. However, since he brought me to the Middle East, he will definitely do something. So why is he so quiet? If he’s not the one behind this, who could it be?

A mercenary? Malcolm tapped the armrest of the seat in rhythm with his fingers. There was an unwritten rule between the gang and the police that neither party would interfere with the other party’s business unless there was a tip or a special mission. And if necessary, they would cooperate with each other in order to make a profit. However, the drug transportation route was destroyed by the police. The informant was nobody. So anyone with a trained eye could see that he was simply being used as cannon fodder.

And although Latin America’s raw material supplies were destroyed, their focus was not raw materials. Their goal was to delay Malcolm from producing enough drugs due to the shortage of raw materials and supplying dealers with finished products.

Malcolm couldn’t think of anyone else with such strength, other than mercenaries. But who hired the mercenary? Although he pieced together the clues, the answer was still heavily hidden behind a thick fog.

This problem was proving to be a bit tricky. Excitement rose in Malcolm’s eyes. There were few adversaries, other than this man, who could make Malcolm so excited.

They soon returned to the factory. Getting out of the car, Malcolm headed towards the meeting room. Finn and the others were already waiting there. The effectiveness of the Evans family’s clandestine information network was astonishing. Finn had already gotten the results of the investigation in the half hour it took for Malcolm to arrive.

Malcolm sat in his seat. Everyone sat down after him. Wasting no time, Finn dove in to report the replaceings of the investigation.

“This was done by a mercenary. Moreover, the anti-reconnaissance ability and intelligence network of the mercenaries are not inferior to ours. It was easy for them to change their identity and make trouble. When we investigated , all the clues have been revealed.” Finn reported the general situation.

“You mean someone hired a mercenary to cause trouble for us?” Malcolm asked indifferently.

“I think the mercenary wants to join the dark forces,” Finn said, making a bold assumption.

“It’s impossible. Mercenaries always work alone and only serve their clients. How could such a person have such strength to get involved with the dark forces?” Byron retorted.

We knew that mercenaries fell into the gray area between the police and the gangs. They did not belong to or serve any organization. Their only goal was money. They would accept assignments based on the difficulty level of the task, payment, and their own ability to complete the work. However, no matter how talented a person was, they couldn’t just deal with a gang. One could imagine the outcome of a fight with a group of single people.

“The mercenaries have a legendary spiritual leader. Haven’t you heard of that?” Finn glanced at Byron disdainfully.

“It’s just a legend. To this day, no one has ever seen this person! Besides, I have never seen mercenaries come together to do anything for this man,” Byron retorted. loud voice.

“Just because you haven’t seen such a thing doesn’t mean it never happened. Mercenaries are good at hiding their identities!” Finn looked at Byron and cursed him in his mind.

Instead of stopping them from arguing, Malcolm listened silently. Realizing that Malcolm had fallen silent, Finn and Byron consciously closed their mouths. They then waited for Malcolm’s orders.

“Try your best to replace out the person behind the mercenary. What Finn said makes sense. Use this clue while conducting the investigation. Regardless of the existence of this person, don’t drop this clue!” Malcolm said indifferently.

“Yes sir!” Finn replied respectfully.

He looked at Byron with gleeful eyes while Byron glared at him. “Since you are so talented, replace out who this legendary man is!” Byron’s eyes were full of disdain. Finn glanced at Byron before turning around and heading off to investigate as per Malcolm’s instructions. “A spiritual leader?”

Even Malcolm had heard of this legendary man. But no one had ever seen him. Either way, it was still a clue, and something useful might turn up after investigation. There was something something unreadable in Malcolm’s eyes at that moment.
