Jaded Hearts -
Chapter 15
Matt
I loved Alaia like a sister, but I swear, at that moment, I wanted to string her up by her tiny little feet.
Why would she tell Taylor about being turned? She might as well have told her to go walk down the middle of a busy highway. While sitting and waiting for Taylor to try on her dress for tonight, I was furiously typing, deleting, then retyping my hate message.
Before I pressed ‘send,’ Taylor stepped out of the dressing room and made me forget exactly what I was so mad about. She had chosen a floor-length, off the shoulder burgundy dress with a front slit that came all the way up to the very top of her thigh. The back plunged to just above the top of her firm, round a*s, drawing your eye there and holding it.
And it was tight, so damn tight it looked like it was painted on. I had never seen anyone so sexy in my life.
“Matt, is this too much? If so, I’ve got another one I can try that’s a little less revealing,” she said while checking her reflection in the mirrors.
I couldn’t speak. I just walked over and ran my hands down her body. She was flawless.
“So, how do we like this one?” The sales associate asked.
Taylor’s mouth twisted into a frown before answering, “I think I’ll try the other—”
“We’ll take it! In every color you’ve got. Ring them up; I don’t care how much they cost,” I cut in.
“Matt, you said one dress. I don’t need every color.”
“Maybe not, but I do. You no idea how delicious you look, tesoro. I’ll have a hard time keeping my hands off you tonight.”
“Well, try to keep them to yourself for now,” she whispered, throwing a quick glance at the sales associate. I didn’t. My hands had a mind of their own, and they roamed every dip and curve. I heard the sales girl giggle behind us, which made Taylor blush.
“Fine, we’ll take it,” she said while leaning around me to smile at the still-giggling girl. “You’re insane, Matthew Stone. You don’t even know how much this thing costs.”
“What’s insane is this tight little body of yours. And what’s even more insane is how badly I want to bend you over right here and watch your beautiful face in all these mirrors as I make you c*m on my d**k. But there’s nothing insane about spoiling you. You deserve it, beautiful.”
I spun her around and slowly ran my finger down the trail of her spine, all the way to her waist. When her body shuddered, I leaned over and kissed her shoulder. “Go get changed, and I’ll go pay.”
When we left, I could see her looking in the windows of other stores, so I took her into each one and let her get whatever she wanted. By the time we made it back to the car she had shoes, jewelry, perfume, lingerie (which I helped pick out), and tons of clothes and dresses.
“Did you have a good time, sweetheart?”
“I’ve never shopped like that before; never been able to. It was so much fun! And it was even more fun watching all the women drool over you.”
“We’re they? I didn’t even notice.” I honestly hadn’t. All I saw was Taylor and the smile on her beautiful face; everything else was just a blur in the background.
“They were. The jealousy was real, but you’re probably used to it by now.”
“Maybe, but it doesn’t matter. I only want the attention of one girl, anyway. The rest are insignificant.”
She smiled, then put on her new sunglasses before we pulled out and headed back to the house. I carried her bags up, and she went to work, putting everything neatly away.
“I’ve never seen a man with so much clothes. How come I only ever see you wear sweats and jeans?” I heard her ask from the closet.
“I need to be prepared for anything, my love. I need these clothes.”
“We need a bigger closet.” I noticed that she’d said “we,” not “you.”
I stood up and walked up behind her. “What did you say? It’s hard to hear all the way out there.”
“I said you need a bigger closet. There’s no more space in here.”
I spun her around and lifted her up, wrapping her legs around my waist. “You said ‘we need.’ I heard you.” I nipped at her throat, then her ear.
“Uhm, did I say that?”
“You did. You know you did. Now say it again.” I pushed her against a nearby wall and slid my hands under her shirt. When I reached her breasts, I found that her n*****s were already hard and begging for my attention.
I ripped her shirt off and pulled her bra down, exposing her silky brown skin. “Say it again, tesoro. Now.” I bit down on her n****e, and she cried out and grabbed a handful of my hair.
“Ahhh! I said … we need a bigger closet!”
I switched to licking and sucking all over her chest. “Why? Do you plan on coming over more often? Leaving your things here?”
“Yes.”
“Moving in?”
She bit her lower l*p and clamped her eyes shut. I pinched both n*****s, making her arch her back and gasp. “Moving in?” I demanded.
“Yes! I’ll move in.”
I placed my face in her neck and gave it a few soft k****s. I both felt and heard her m**n. “That’s my girl. I’ll make sure you have all the closet space you need.” I then took a step back and set her on her feet to finish putting her things away. “I’ve got to go replace bean. I’ve got a bone to pick with her. I’ll see you later.” I gave a quick k**s on her nose and strode out of the closet.
“f*****g tease!” I heard her yell from behind me.
Yeah, maybe I was.
I found Alaia in her dressing room, shuffling through tons of dresses, looking for her outfit for tonight. “Hey, bean.”
“Hi, Matty, what’s up?”
“Don’t you ‘hey, Matty’ me. I know what you did.”
She looked at me, confused. “Fill me in?”
“You don’t remember telling my mate that I could turn her into a shewolf?”
“Ohhhh, right. Well, you can.”
“And it could kill her, Alaia! And now she’s considering it. Like really considering it. Do you know what it would do to me if I tried to turn her and she died? Because of me? I’d die too, bean. I couldn’t live if I lost her.”
Alaia sat in the middle of the floor and looked down at her hands. Her sad face usually worked on everyone in this house, but not me. At least not today. “I’m sorry, Matt. I just wanted her to know all the possibilities that come with being mated to a wolf. I wasn’t trying to step on your toes or anything.”
“I didn’t want this for her. She’s been through enough, and she’s perfect already. Now she thinks she’s not good enough, and that she can’t give me what I want. I never wanted her to feel like this.”
“Can I fix it? Tell me what I can do, and I’ll do it, I promise, Matt.”
“There’s nothing for you to do here, Alaia. Just let me drop all the werewolf bombshells to my mate from now on.”
She looked so sad, but I had a right to be upset that she had put me in this position. It wasn’t fair.
“I’ll see you tonight at dinner. And you should wear the black dress; you’ll look really beautiful in it.”

Taylor
When I saw Matt again, I could tell he was a little upset. I knew that it had to do with the ‘turning me into a wolf’ thing, so I decided not to push the issue too much. He was sitting at the kitchen island, getting ready to eat some lunch when I joined him. “What are we having?” I asked.
“Uh, Geoff made some pizzas, and there’s pasta salad over there,” he said, pointing to the counter across the room.
I stood up and kissed the top of his head before going to the counter and filling a plate. “I love you, babe, and I won’t ask you to do anything that will hurt you.”
When I came back, Matt looked a little less stressed. We ate and talked about whatever random things popped into our heads. It was so easy to talk to him; we just clicked. There was never a dull moment between us. Alaia came in the kitchen a little later and launched herself at Matt’s back, wrapping her arms around his stomach.
“Matty! I’m sorry. You can’t stay mad at me! You’ve never been mad at me before.”
I just looked on curiously. I actually loved watching these two together.
“I won’t stay mad at you, but I’m still mad now, bean. Just let me have a couple of hours, okay? It doesn’t mean I love you any less.”
“You promise?”
“Uhm, did I say that?”
“You did. You know you did. Now say it again.” I pushed her against a nearby wall and slid my hands under her shirt. When I reached her breasts, I found that her n*****s were already hard and begging for my attention.
“Yes, I promise. Now go eat something; that’ll take your mind off me for a while.”
She leaned back and smiled. “That’s true. Taylor, did you want to get dressed together tonight? We can use my dressing room; I have plenty of space.”
“Sure, that sounds perfect.”
She left to go over and help herself to food before disappearing into the dining room.
“She didn’t mean anything bad, Matt. Don’t be too mad at her.”
“I’m trying not to be.”

The day passed quickly, and soon, Alaia and I were upstairs getting dressed. She’d talked me into wearing my natural curls tonight and was helping me condition and fluff them until they were perfect.
Straightened, my hair came to the middle of my back, but when it was curly like this, it just brushed my shoulders.
“This is perfect since your dress shows off your shoulders and back. Plus, you’re naturally beautiful. I don’t see a need to do too much to make you shine.”
I knew there was a double meaning to what she was saying; she was trying to make up for our earlier conversation. “Thanks, but I can always be better. If I’m content to just stay one way, then I’ll never grow. I’ll never reach my full potential.”
She hugged me from behind and went over to get herself together. After I slid my dress on and applied some simple makeup, I picked up the diamond necklace and earrings that Matt had bought for me this afternoon and put them on. They were perfect with the dress, like they were made to be paired together.
One pair of golden strappy heels later, and I was ready.
Alaia appeared in a beautiful black one-shoulder dress that also reached the floor. It was looser than mine but still didn’t hide the fact that she had an amazing body underneath it. Her hair was straightened and slightly curled and flowed down to her waist.
“Wow, you look amazing, Alaia.”
She beamed. “Thank you! So do you. We’ve got some lucky guys tonight. Come on, let’s go see them.”
When we got to the bottom of the stairs, there was no one around. “We’re finished before the guys? That’s new.” I thought out loud.
Alaia’s eyes clouded over for a second, then she jerked her head towards the door. “They’re outside already, waiting by the car.”
Once the door was opened, I saw Matt standing on the porch waiting for me. He had on a perfect dark gray suit and burgundy tie. He matched me exactly. His hair was messy and gorgeous. It had that perfectly disheveled look that I loved.
“Damn, you look good. We should go out like this more often,” I said as I kissed his cheek.
“You’re a goddess, Taylor.”
He took a step back and looked me over. When he got to my shoes, his face frowned a bit. “Don’t you like them?”
“I do, but are your legs okay to walk in them tonight? Your muscles haven’t had much time to recover.”
“I’ll be fine. If not, you can just carry me,” I replied, throwing him a quick wink.
“That sounds perfect. Let’s get going.”
We all piled into two SUVs and headed out to the restaurant. In the dark of the back seat, I could feel Matt’s hand slowly creeping along my exposed thigh. “Stop that!” I whispered at him.
Kade, along with the driver, was right in the front seat and could turn around at any second and see us. He leaned over to my ear and lowered his voice. “I can’t help myself, tesoro. You’re so f*****g sexy. I want you so bad.”
Again, his hand started working its way up my thigh until his fingers grazed against the lacy material of my thong. I hissed at the contact, which just encouraged Matt even more.
“Cut it out back there! It’s my birthday, not yours, so if anyone’s getting any action in the back seat of the truck tonight, it’s gonna be me,” Kade yelled back at us.
Matt g*****d and threw his head back on the seat. I just sighed with relief. Kade doesn’t know how close I was to mounting this man back here and riding him all the way to Jade City. He was about to get a real birthday show.
“To be continued, I guess,” Matt said as he shot Kade a dirty look.
To be continued indeed.
