Chapter 82: The Final Surgery

I looked at Diamond and said "this is it."

" The final surgery. The scars will be gone from my back. But the pain you have had to go thru to get rid of them has taken a toll on you, Jessie."

" I can't believe we are the only ones that know how he poured that gas on your back and set you on fire."

" I wish I could have been there when you killed him."

" It's all good Diamond. I will not be ashamed now to wear cut off shirts and swimming suits after this."

As I was being wheeled down the hall I did not see Ace or Rage standing in the hallway.

"Ace. What is Jessie doing here?"

" I don't know. But, I intend to replace out. Why would she need to have surgery?"

" Good question."

I looked over and saw Diamond walk out of the room.

"Call Wiz and ask him to do a background check on Jessie."

" A medical one."

20 minutes later my phone rang.

"Wiz what did you replace."

" Did you know that Jessie was not only raped and beaten. They poured gas on her back and set it on fire?"

I felt my hand going into a fist.

"If that son of a bitch wasn't already dead I would be looking for him and set his ass on fire."

" Thank's Wizard."

" What did you replace out Ace, Rage asked him."

" She did not tell us that her ex poured gas on her back and set it on fire. She must be having surgery on her back. Wait give me a minute Ace. I thought back to the night we made love."

"The ridges on her back.

"I remember feeling scars on her back Ace. Is she having them removed?"

" Maybe."

" Diamond come here please."

" Why is Jessie having surgery?"

" I know about her back. Is that why she is here?"

" Yes, it is. This is her final surgery. She is always in so much pain and down and out for at least six weeks after wards."

" She will be on pain pills and she says the truth when she is on them."

" That's why she only let's me or Olive and Rain take care of her. Change her bandages."

"How long will she be in surgery?"

" At least for two or three hours. When she is back in her room she will stay in the hospital for three days before she is released. Then I will take her home to recover."

We were sitting in the room when they wheeled her back. She was on her stomach and still out of it. I sat in the corner of the room watching as they moved her onto her bed.

My heart ached for her. She was treated bad by her ex and now I fully know why she is afraid of men. I understand that I have hard work on my hands to get her to trust me.

Her face was facing the opposite direction. I was drawn out of my thoughts when I heard Diamond ask the doctor "how Jessie was."

" She is going to be fine. She will not need any more surgery."

" Her back will be as smooth as before he poured that gas on her and set her on fire."
