Darkness, darkness, is all around me. My mind is full of confusion. My temple is tight and spinning into a dizzying spiral. Something is wrong! A sharp, almost burning sensation is surging through my entire body. What is this feeling? Where am I? Why do I feel trapped?

So many questions flooding my mind, with no answers to follow. A bright light breaks through the darkness. Thank goodness, finally something different yet alarming in the distance. The surrounding walls begin to lighten from the dark blackness to an orange-reddish hue.

I try to open my eyes, but my eyelids are glued shut. I panicked and thrashed around in my cocoon of liquid. Although, I could sense a change in the color. I could not see. A warm rush of fluid pushed my body towards the light.

My lungs are throbbing on fire now! What is happening? I do not like this change. The tidal wave ceased for a tiny break, then five minutes goes by, with another similar wave like surge. It pushes me further into the increasingly bright light.

The surrounding walls begin to squeeze like a vice on my helpless limbs. It begins to grow tighter and tighter as the light grows closer and closer. The air is weakening. I'm gasping for it, or what seems to be life itself. All I know is what once felt comfortable is now bringing about, pain and chaos. I'm scared and alone.

My body feels suffocated and constricted.

I just want this to end! Please, god, let me pass!

My cries were heard. My head breaks free into an open space. Yet, my body from my neck down was still lodged inside a tight tunnel. Seconds pass, and I felt a final push of warm liquid at my backside. A newer feeling came over me, as if I was falling. Wait, I am falling, But not far down before my back crashes into something large and soft. I couldn't tell what it was, being that my eyes were so tightly shut. I realized I was still pawing. Searching for air, the once fully spacious air sac, was now airless and slippery to the touch, as I tried breaking out. Something within me was telling me to fight and not give up.

Suddenly, I felt something pull from outside the sac like tomb.

It was pinching and chewing its way in. Fear began to grip me and I panicked once more. My limbs kicked harder and an unknown sound began escaping from my throat. A mewing or bawling scream. I increased it in volume, as if to say to whatever was breaking in, to leave me alone or else. I don't know, what, or else, would have been, but it was worth the try.

The sac opened, and I felt something warm nuzzle my head. A rough, tickle begun covering my head over and over in turns. It didn't hurt, nor did it scare me any longer.

The fear I once had was now a faint feeling. Something extremely comforting replaced the terrifying anxiety. Whatever it was. It soothed me and caudled to my needs. I was breathing, my lungs didn't hurt-I thought. How fresh and icy cool each deep breath felt as I gulped it down. My nose was flooded with a mixture of smells.

Odors I had never experienced before. Some were calming and others quite disgusting. The strange tickle object, still present, moved its way down my helpless body. I was so exhausted that I gave up fighting it. I lay powerless to its desire. It had strange magic to it.

My once, wet and damp body was now warm and dry. It was so nice, my mind was able to relax. My thoughts were drifting off into a slumber like state of being. I went with its flow. The power it possessed was greater, than the power I had just experienced. I'd take this feeling over the other one any day. Darkness was back, but it was different this time. It had twinkling orbs all around, with flashes of purple and neon blue lightning strikes. They seldom streaked across my eyelids as I drifted into its aura.

An unknown audible sound was slowly growing louder in my ears. I listened closely, trying to understand its garble. What was its language? Who was speaking? More questions and no answers like last time. Soon the sound grew solid and clear. I was able to understand its words.

"Hello, creation, do not be scared" said a deep calm voice. In my thoughts, I heard myself ask

"Who is there? and why is it that you should affirm me not to be scared? The voice replied quickly to my question, Finally answers.

"I am, the one you called to, during your time of birth to earth. Why, because I wanted you to understand, I am, means no harm to you. So that you do not fear. I know you do not remember me, but we were together before you entered this life. I gave you a choice to come to earth and live and experience everything about this new world, or to stay in my

celestial Heavens. Can you guess what you chose"? Chuckled softly, the deep voice.

I knew the answer, it was obvious. I had so many questions, and some made more sense now.

"Can you tell me what I am"? I asked bravely.

I sensed a smile upon its voice as I am replied. "You are a prince, a lion cub. I chose you to be an animal during your short stay on earth. Many others I chose differently. I thought how wonderful your life should be while visiting; as a feared, powerful, and majestic creature over all other living beings. Men will see your majestic beauty, while prey animals would fear you, and as far as for your kind they would know your power and respect you. I will be always watching and if you ever need me, I am not far away" He said so lovingly.

Before I could ask another question, I faded away from His voice. It seemed so distant and gone so fast. The beautiful darkness was slowly turning into the illuminating orange-red hue again. I lay still, up against the warmth of a creature I assumed was just like me. I was happy with my short visit. Laying cozy and still for only an instant. It did not take long, before I was now feeling a new rush coming over me, and within myself I knew instinctively what it was.

I WAS HUNGRY!
