Chapter 322
Winston slowly turned his head, his eyes reddening for a brief moment. Millie’s slap had landed with
brutal force.
As their eyes locked, all she saw in his was a chilling, piercing coldness.
Winston’s lips twitched, but he didn’t realize that Millie’s nails had worsened the scratch from the photograph.
“Winston Greer, do you have no shame? You’re about to become Joanna’s fiancé, yet you still want to touch me?” Millie questioned.
She couldn’t help but replace it terrifying. He was toying with her and Joanna like they were mere playthings. Wasn’t he trampling on their dignity? Had he ever shown them any respect at all?
“Millie, our marriage is still in effect,” Winston stated with a menacing smile.
Millie felt shivers run down her spine as she retorted, “If you loved me, you wouldn’t have gotten involved with Joanna. And if you cared about her, you wouldn’t be so desperately clinging to me while I’m trying to
move on!”
After saying that, she chuckled wryly and added, “But of course, you don’t love me. So, Winston, for Joanna’s sake, act like a man and be loyal! Otherwise, a person like you deserves to rot in hell!”
Millie’s fury intensified with each word. Beneath her scathing remarks lay the grievances she had endured. over the years.
Winston, enraged by her insults, ran his fingers across his lips. Then, he took a sharp breath and said with a sneer, “Millie, you’ve really outdone yourself.”
“Mr. Greer, we’ve been on opposing sides since the day I decided to divorce you. So, just accept that this is where I stand now, okay?”
Having said her piece, Millie shoved Winston aside and descended the steps without looking back.
When she reached her car, she stopped, looked back at him, and taunted, “Winston, scoundrels belong in hell, especially someone like you!”
Winston snickered. He crossed his arms casually and simply asked, “So what if I’m a scoundrel? Aren’t you still madly in love with me?”
“You disgust me!” Millie spat out. “Even the fact that I once loved you makes me sick now!”
Winston, however, remained unfazed. “Ms. Caldwell, the fact you once loved me is something that can never be erased from your memory.”
“You can disgust me all you want,” Millie replied coldly before getting into the car.
Her feelings for him went beyond being a memory she couldn’t erase. The scar on her back was a constant reminder of how deeply she had loved Winston.
Millie had loved him so intensely that she was willing to sacrifice her own life. Unfortunately, her affection had always been used as a weapon against her. Did Winston think her feelings were a joke?

the person he desired. Someone as despicable as him didn’t deserve to be loved.
With that, Millie slammed the accelerator, and the car sped away.
After her vehicle was out of sight, Winston’s expression slowly returned to its usual coldness. He then balled his fists in frustration and thought, “This woman is insufferable!”
The things Millie had said to Winston were like a bitter pill he couldn’t swallow. How could she have the nerve to slap him, call him disgusting, and curse him to hell? No one had ever spoken to him like that before.
Winston’s right hand clenched into a fist. Suddenly, he lost control and struck the pillar.
Blood soon began to trickle down the pillar from his battered knuckles. His eyes burned with rage, and his heart seethed with resentment toward Millie.
How could Winston accept this? After all, she had once held him in such high regard. But now, she saw him as nothing but trash.
