Chapter 86

“Do you usually get cramps like this, Dr. Lloyd? We’ve already called 911, so don’t worry,” one of the workers at the restaurant consoled him.

Millie pushed past the crowd and walked toward the man.

The crowd glared at her. “Stop pushing!”

Millie scoffed. “Yeah! As if you can help him.”

“How rude! You’re just making fun of him!” someone in the crowd chided.

“Look at how covered up she is. How suspicious! What kind of normal person covers their face up like that?” another person questioned.

They covered their mouths and looked at her disdainfully as they began to talk about Millie right in front of her.

As Millie glanced at them, she couldn’t help but feel annoyed. Everyone was so judgmental these days. They couldn’t stop insulting and mocking others at all.

“It hurts!” Sebastian gritted his teeth.

He had been getting cramps for a while, but he was too busy to pay much attention to it.

Most doctors were used to diagnosing themselves, and they would always reassure themselves that nothing was wrong with them.

For some reason, Sebastian felt even worse than usual when he stood up just now.

He had never felt such a bad cramp before. The pain slowly turned to numbness, and it was almost as if his entire leg could crumble off.

Millie observed his twitching muscles as her mind began to come up with an acupuncture remedy for

him.

She was confident that he would be cured after her acupuncture.

“Does anyone have any ideas? We can’t let his leg keep cramping up like this, right? Should we give him a massage?” the owner of the café suggested.

After everyone agreed, he quickly said, “Quick, call a masseuse!”

Sebastian frowned. A massage? That wouldn’t work at all!

In those circumstances, a massage would only make his cramps worse!

When Sebastian saw that a waiter was about to call a masseuse, he wanted to speak up and stop them. However, before he could, a determined female voice piped up and said, “No! You can’t give him a massage!”

A massage would only worsen his condition.

It was Millie who had spoken up.

The crowd looked at her. She looked extra weird all covered up like that.

“Who are you? Why can’t we give him a massage?” the waiter interrogated Millie.

Sebastian looked Millie up and down.

She was wrapped up so tightly that it would have been hard to tell she was a woman if she hadn’t spoken.

Millie walked forward and took her portable acupuncture kit out of her pocket. She knelt next to him and made her voice sound deeper on purpose. “Sir, can use acupuncture to ease your symptoms. Would you be willing to let me help?”

“You?” Sebastian asked.

Millie nodded confidently. “Yes, me.”

The crowd began chattering again. “Who is that?”

“Is she even a professional? That’s Sebastian Lloyd! He’s the most influential doctor in Yerwick. He’s basically the head honcho when it comes to cardiac surgery!”

“If anything happens to him, she’s going to offend the whole city!”

“Even though we can’t see her face, she seems young. All these young people nowadays! They love to puff their own feathers even when they have nothing to prove!”

Millie ignored them. She only looked at Sebastian.

Even though Sebastian couldn’t see Millie’s face, he couldn’t help but feel like someone he knew.

la reminded him of

The way she spoke and the confidence she had in her skills reminded him a lot of Layla.

As a doctor, Sebastian always admired people with actual medical skills.

He wanted to give this random stranger a chance.

After all, it was gutsy enough for her to stand up and help him after knowing his influence.

“Alright, I’m willing to do it,” Sebastian said. His forehead was already covered in cold sweat from the pain he was feeling.

The whole place fell silent after he answered.

The crowd couldn’t help but marvel at how daring Sebastian was.

The waiter was worried. “Mr. Lloyd, we don’t know who this young woman
