Getting into the Reznikov manor was easy. With my mask on—thankfully saved from my car—I’m wearing a fitted black suit for the first time ever, so no one can recognize me.

Base is wearing a Batman mask, because he’s an idiot.

Tobias is in a suit too, heading towards the pool room with a black skull mask on.

I can hear violins, and I want to roll my eyes so fucking hard at how pretentious this family is. Bunch of fucking rich mutated cretins thinking they’re classy, but they’re all just idiots trying to impress each other and failing.

My feet stop moving when I spot Igor. For being an old man, he’s puffing that cigar and downing whisky like he’s not going to be on his deathbed within the next year.

Xander is there. Like his father, he’s in a white mask that only covers his eyes. As much as I know he’s on our side, I want to fucking snap his neck for threatening Olivia in the first place. Whether it was all fake and forced, if he even as much as looks in her direction again, I’ll poke his eyes out with nails and hammer his cock to his leg.

Abigail can then choose Adryx. He’s the decent one anyway. Then she doesn’t need to be stuck in a damn triangle.

“We’re here,” Tobias says in my ear. The earpiece is covered by my mask and dark hair. “Base will run out back as soon as we drop these and get the car. Can you see her?”

I stay silent, my eyes scanning the hall—I’d know if she was here. Everyone has their face covered, but I’d be able to spot Olivia even by a strand of her hair. She’s not here yet. Where the fuck is she? Xander told Adryx she’d be attending.

Maybe she’s in the room they’ve locked her in?

I glance at the main exit, wondering if I should just hunt for her anyway.

“The asshole doesn’t speak, remember? Hey, do you think he’d yell at me if I try to flirt with her?”

I’d kill him. Simple as that.

“Fuck off, Base,” Adryx snaps, and I can hear Molly and Abigail in the background at the safe house.

“Fucking rude,” he replies. “Your brother is here, so she must be somewhere. And hey, Baz, what’s the point in you having all these fancy gadgets if you can’t follow her tracker?”

Barry huffs. “There’s no point explaining it to an idiot like you.”

I roll my eyes and shove my hands into my pockets while they keep arguing back and forth, Tobias telling them all to shut the fuck up and focus on the plan.

Stepping around a group of men with cigars, I search the place some more. The music is growing more ridiculous, the decorations are ridiculous, the people are ridiculous, and the—

I turn and stop breathing at the sight before me.

My fucking soul shivers.

Fuck. I’m stunned into a place where I can’t even fill my lungs or blink.

The black satin dress hugs her frame so perfectly, her long hair falling down her back. She’s slimmer than before. And I can’t see her beautiful face.

She’s wearing a gas mask, just like mine, but with glitter around the chambers on each side.

I’m looking at a fucking angel.

My angel.

My anchor.

Mine.

I love her more than life. She once told me she would never be loved the way I love her because it comes so naturally to people who are neurotypical, and for me to feel anything like that, I’d need to try extra hard and fall deeper than any typical love. She told me it was more than enough for her.

There’s fucking concrete around my black heart like a shield, and she’s trapped inside it. That’s the only version of love I have, and I’ll make sure it’s always enough for Olivia to choose me, to never leave me, to love me until we grow old, die, and replace each other in the void beyond.

Igor gestures to her to come to him, resting his hand on her hip when she complies. She stiffens, her spine straight, as her eyes burn into Xander’s, searching for some sort of help.

She’s asking him to help when I’m right here.

“Don’t do anything stupid,” someone says in my ear, but my blood is pumping, roaring around their voice as I grit my teeth and step forward.

“Stop,” my dad snaps in my ear. “Do not risk your sister’s life.”

“Shit. Even the dad sees them as siblings.”

I pause my steps, my heart pounding in my chest, needing to get to her—I need to remove his hand from her body and snuff out his life force while everyone watches. They need to see what a useless piece of shit he is.

My girl flinches as he leans down to whisper in her ear, and then she nods. He squeezes her side and taps it before going to talk to a group of women who keep smiling at him and his son.

She rubs her arm, and I check our surroundings before I start to approach her.

“Malachi!” Dad yells. “Stop!”

“He’s going to screw up the goddamn plan.”

“Tobes, if you stand on my foot again, we’re gonna have a—”

Base’s voice vanishes, and I hope Tobias is kicking his ass.

But I’m more focused on the way Olivia turns around and freezes as I stand before her with my hands in my pockets—because if I don’t hold them there, I’ll grab her and drag her away, or worse, kiss her in front of everyone and ruin the rescue.

Olivia can’t see my face, but she doesn’t have to. The gas mask still has dried blood on it, not that anyone can smell the dead copper or can tell between it being fake or not.

She’ll remember being my little stranger and running from this mask.

Xander is talking to his father, his eyes straying to me every few minutes.

She’s looking up at me, and I can see the fear in her eyes through the glass of the eyeholes. “Please save me,” she says shakily, loud enough for only me to hear.

My heart splits in two.

I tilt my head, my gaze flicking over to see what Igor is doing—talking like he’s the star of the night, the center of attention, oblivious, while his team keeps us surrounded and his sons plan his demise.

So close. She’s so fucking close.

She lifts her mask, her eyes tearstained already. “Malachi.”

I can’t sign, not when I have this grenade in my hand, and honestly, I don’t know what to say. Forgive me? Don’t leave me? I’ll do better? I promise to protect you even though I already failed?

I won’t let anything happen to her ever again. Even if a bullet goes in my head, I’ll replace a way to protect her.

Fuck. I want to go to her. Now. I need to. She’s staring at me, and I’m not doing anything, but my entire body is fucking rattling to go to her.

“Ready?”

I nod, knowing Barry can see us through the CCTV.

“I won’t be reachable as soon as this starts. You have one hour. Get her to me as fast as you can. Try not to die in the process.”

“Aw,” Base coos. “Knew you loved me. Sorry, I already have a best friend, despite sucking his dick too many times—” He starts making an abrupt choking sound, and Tobias tells him to shut the fuck up.

“Drop them now.”

I pull my hand from my pocket and let go of the grenade, praying this fucking works. The lights flicker, my eyes drifting to Igor and his men as they try to use their radios.

It worked.

Xander comes towards us. He knows it’s about to happen, yet I can’t help but hate him.

I draw my attention back to a confused Olivia. She drops the mask on the ground, and her eyes are watering. Xander reaches her, grabs the mask, and tries to put it back on her. “Mal—”

“Now.”

It’s the only word I need. I drive my fist into Xander’s face and grab Olivia, then drag her through the crowd, gripping her hand tight enough that I can’t lose her again. People bang into us, Olivia slips and falls, but I lift her weight and push partygoers out of the way, knocking over someone and making them fall onto a table filled with food.

The hallways are empty—it’s a straight route to the backyard where Base will be waiting with the car. Tobias will follow and catch anyone trying to get to us.

Looking behind me, I don’t spot anyone following us. I hold Olivia’s hand tighter and drag her into the yard.

“Malachi. I can’t leave,” she says desperately.

I swing open the door and push her in. She fights me, trying to get out of the backseat as I climb in and close the door.

“Malachi! I can’t!” She shows me her arm. “This will kill me.”

Base swerves out of the drive, knocking Olivia into my side and dragging a groan from me because she hit my stitches.

“We need to get you to Barry as quickly as possible,” Base says when I struggle to talk or sign. “The tracker is disabled. He can cut it out.”

Her lips part, and her eyes widen.

“Really?”

“Yes. Now stop distracting me so I can drive.”

Breathless, we turn to stare at each other, a spark hitting her eyes as she lets out a soft cry and climbs onto my lap, grabbing my face and kissing me.

It’s not gentle. It’s brutal. The harsh presses of her mouth claim my lips before she desperately shoves her tongue into my mouth and devours me, a moan vibrating between our chests.

Her hand presses to where my wound is, and I wince. She pauses and looks down, then lifts her eyes to stare at me.

“Don’t stop,” I mouth and pull her lips back to mine.

The car swerves again, headlights shining through the back window as Tobias follows. She’s swallowing each breath from me, kissing me harder as her tongue lashes against my own.

She’s rocking her hips, and I’m not stopping her. I don’t give a fuck that Base is here or that he’s witnessing all of this. I need my girl, and I think she needs me just as much.

Her hand hits the window as Base swerves again, keeping her balance as my cock hardens beneath her.

“I need you,” she breathes. “Please let me have you.”

I pull my head back, shoving the fabric of her dress up to her hips and snapping the underwear clean off her body, making her whimper.

Dropping my hand between her legs, I kiss her once more as I press my thumb to her clit, sinking two fingers inside her until she rides my hand, gasping as she moves.

Her hands leave my shoulders, and she rushes to get my belt undone, pulling at the buttons and freeing my hard, thick, fucking aching dick. She strokes it once, twice, three times, and my balls tingle. I don’t think I’ll last long. I’ve been deprived of her for a month—I can’t even remember the last time I came without it being in her pussy or her mouth.

We don’t have much time. This needs to be quick. Imagine pulling up at the safehouse with our father waiting, and I’m balls deep in my sister?

I grab one of her hips, lining my tip to her entrance, then slam her down on me. So tight and wet and fucking mine.

Unprotected. She’s not on birth control anymore, but I don’t care. I’ll gladly watch my cum fill her and breed the shit out of her.

My cock buries in her soaking cunt over and over again.

We share sloppy yet desperate kisses while she fucks me, then she sinks her teeth into my lip and cries silently, nearly falling off my lap when Base takes a sharp right.

It hurts me, my side burning, but I don’t give a fuck. I keep going, feeling the stitches pulling and tearing. Blood soaks into my shirt. I look down, touching my side, and see blood on my hand, but instead of stopping her, I grab her face and stain it red, bringing her down on my cock harder, faster, ignoring Base in front trying to get us to the destination on time.

“Tell me you love me,” Olivia gasps into my mouth. “In case we don’t make it in time. I need to hear you tell me you love me.”

“I love you, little sister,” I reply, my words still a little unpracticed. “And I’ll tell you every single fucking day after this.”

I pull back, watching her ride my cock while I sign, I love you now. I loved you yesterday. When we were kids. When we were teens. When you had me thrown in jail and when I found you again. I’ll love you tomorrow. Next month. Next year. When you’re mothering my child. And when we’re old and gray, I’ll love you even more, because I’ll have had a fucking lifetime to fall more and more in love with you. Is that enough for you, Olivia? Do you need more from me?

“You’ve always been enough.” A tear slips down her cheek. “I want every moment with you.”

“Huh?” I hear Base say, then he swears under his breath and knocks the mirror to block any reflection. “Fucking hell. Really? It’s a race for life and you’re deep inside your sister?”

“Yes,” I breathe against her lips. “But I want to be deeper.”

I snatch her lip between my teeth and groan as she sinks down to the hilt, her fingers sliding into my hair and tugging until it hurts, probably nearly as much as the opening wound on my side. Even after taking a bullet to the chest a month ago, a blade to the lung, I’m not letting any of them stop me from driving my cock up into my girl and watching her head fall back on a moan.

“Faster,” I order with a forced breath against her throat. “Fuck me faster.”

Doing as she’s told, Olivia grabs Base’s headrest behind her and rides me with more speed, the sound of slapping skin filling my goddamn ears.

“Harder, Olivia. Drop your fucking ass down on me harder.”

She lets out a harsh moan as she does just that. Her pussy tightens, and I can feel her shaking in my hold.

“Can I come in you?” I ask because I’m so close. My balls are tightening, and my spine and legs have warmth filling them. My muscles bunch, and when she fails to respond, her orgasm washes over her so hard, she freezes on top with her nails digging into my skull.

I can’t hold it back either as white dots appear behind my eyes, and I push her shoulder to get as deep as possible, needing every drop of cum leaking out of me to be stuck inside her.

“Tobes. Help me,” Base says into the phone pressed to his ear. “The siblings are fucking in the backseat, and I’m certain the mute just spoke.”

We get there with twenty minutes to spare—no one followed us either, so Tobias pulls up just as we walk into the building. Base won’t even look at me, and I feel smug that I’ve been able to silence the prick.

Dad grabs Olivia and pulls her in for a hug, and she cries into his chest. He looks over her head to me and mouths, “Thank you.”

I lower my head with my lip flattening.

He doesn’t need to thank me. I would’ve died to get her back here safely.

Barry has set up a table for Olivia to rest her arm on as Molly and her best friend Abigail fill the room. Dad kisses her forehead, but we all sit silent, waiting to see if Barry can do it.

Olivia holds my hand under the table, her eyes staying on me. She’s terrified. If this doesn’t work, then there’s a chance we might lose her.

If that happens then there isn’t much point in me being on this earth.

“This will hurt,” Barry tells her then starts cutting into her skin.

Her eyes screw shut, and her grip on my hand tightens. Tears soak her cheeks, her teeth gritting. Then her head drops to my shoulder, and she cries and cries and fucking cries—it takes seven minutes for Barry to stop cutting into my sister’s arm before drop a small metal rod on the table.

“Done.”

Relief fills me as I grab Olivia’s face and kiss her, not giving a fuck that everyone can see. She sobs against my lips, her hand pressing to my chest gently. “You’re okay?”

My bottom lip trembles, and I swallow down the emotions as I let go of her face. I am now.

Tobias grabs a metal container and starts smashing it into the tracker until it’s in pieces, and silence cloaks us all once more.

Because it worked.

Olivia is free, and she’s holding my hand so damn tight, I don’t think I’ll ever let go. She covers her mouth as Abigail hugs her, shaking in each other’s arms.

But then Molly launches herself at me. “I’m so glad you’re okay!”

I hug her, her little head buried into me, and I look at Olivia while she cuddles our father, her friend, and then thanks everyone.

My gaze lifts to the door as Adryx walks in.

“My father is in the trunk,” he says. “We’ll deal with him.”

“How did you get him in there?”

“A story for another time,” he replies to Barry. “We need to go.”

“Thank you,” Olivia says to him. “I know going against your dad was hard.”

He shrugs. “Not really.”

Olivia puts my suit jacket on and doesn’t let go of my hand as we walk out. Xander is smoking up against the car, his head down. Abigail comes out too, hugging herself, and stares at the brothers now both leaning on the car.

“All of our safe houses will be searched for my father. Olivia is no longer under any threat, and neither are any of you, but I suggest getting out of here before they catch you and assume you had a hand in my father’s disappearance.”

Xander lifts his head, his face filled with regret. “I’m sorry for the part I played,” he says to Olivia. “Truly. I never intended for any of this to happen.”

Adryx pats his little brother’s chest. “Let’s go.”

Adryx shakes hands with Tobias and Barry. “I’ll keep my word. There’s one safe house that’s not on any of their radars. I’ll send the details to my cousin.”

Base comes outside with Luciella—their hands are clasped together, her nose red from the cold weather.

“I’m taking the car.” Base points to the car I just fucked my sister in. “It’s faster than mine. There better not be any leftover incesty sex juice in the backseat, Kai.”

Dad grimaces.

Olivia goes red.

For the first time in a while, I let out a snorted laugh and shake my head. I swear, if I ever cross paths with this guy again, I’ll strangle him.

Not in a nice way.

Base salutes everyone while Luciella tells Olivia it was nice to finally meet her, then smiles at Abigail. They vanish into the car, and Tobias sighs. “I hope we don’t need to meet again, Jamieson. But if we do, it better be under good circumstances.”

Dad chuckles. “Take care, Tobias.”

“Stop fucking your sister!” Base calls out as he slams the car door shut.

“Thank you,” Olivia says to Barry, ignoring Base. “For everything.”

He lowers his head and winks at Dad before he, too, climbs into the car with Tobias.

Dad and Molly go to the other car, and Olivia kisses my cheek and gets into the passenger side.

Both Reznikov brothers watch Abigail, but she walks away from them and climbs into the car too.

“Have a happy life with your girl, Malachi,” Adryx says, dragging his eyes from the car back to me. “I hope we never need to meet like this again.”

I nod, and he shakes my hand while his brother continues to level a deadly stare at the car.

Xander, his eye blackened by my fist, doesn’t say anything as he gives me a close-lipped smile, a nod, then turns around and follows his older brother to his own car.

I get into the driver’s side, my eyes closing to take a deep, well-needed breath.

“Where do we go now?” Olivia asks me.

Home, I sign.

Wherever home is for us now. It doesn’t matter as long as we’re together.
