The Alpha King’s Ugly Bride Chapter 69

Mia's eyes fluttered at the ray of sunlight in her room. She twirled around a little in bed, but when her head turned around, she didn't replace Xavier beside her. Her heart tightened painfully in her chest, but she quickly told herself to get over it. It wasn't his first time leaving and it shouldn't surprise or hurt her anymore, but it did. No matter what she told herself. His actions were always going to hurt her.

However, she would not show it. She would not confront him. That would only make her look weak, and she didn't want to look weak.

The door to the bathroom opened while she contemplated how to get out of bed and behold, Xavier stood before it. He had his trousers on but had nothing covering his upper body but for his long back hair which fell over his shoulders. His gorgeous shoulders which she'd trailed kisses on last night. He rested his shoulder against the wall and crossed his hands over his chest and his biceps flexed as a result.

Mia dragged a deep breath and bit her lips. She needed to look away, but she couldn't.

"Mia."

Her eyes narrowed at him a little. "Xavier? I thought you left."

"I thought I left too," he replied cockily.

"Then why are you still here?"

"I got your water ready. It would help ease your aching bones muscles and bones. They will heal on their own, but this will speed up the process." He pushed himself forward and stepped towards the bed.

Her heart skipped a beat at the closeness of him. The memories of last night flashed in her brain. His kiss, his touch, his dominance and control, and how he knew the right thing to do. He was a pleasure god, and he knew it too. The event was captivating enough. She didn't want to add this affectionate side to it.

"You didn't have to do that." She said, pulling out of the bed and dragging the bedsheets along with her. She whined and hiss under her breath as she helped herself up to her feet. She needed attention and soothing from the pain, but she didn't want to take his offer.

"You doing a very poor job at hiding the pain, Mia." he pointed out.

She cast him a glare before she could stop herself. "It'll pass, just like the first."

His eyes held remorse, "I am sorry, I shouldn't have left. I also know you can do this yourself, but let me help you." his offer sounded so tempting.

She knew if she agreed, she'd have to let him bathe her as well. He would need to touch her to do that and she wasn't sure she was ready for his touch yet. She needed to recover from the one they just had.

He moved towards her and, on getting close; he took hold of the bedsheet, keeping her nakedness hidden. He gently pulled it off, revealing her body to him. At the sight of her naked body, he sucked a deep breath, his eyes displaying fascination.

He scooped her into his arms and took her into the bathroom. Once there, he set her down in the bathtub filled with warm water and stepped back. She sighed and her eyes fluttered as her aching bones witness a restoration.

She saw a smile on his face as her eyes fluttered and she was taken aback by it. He was a gorgeous man but watching him smile made her heart hurt in a way she didn't expect. His beauty was immeasurable, and she knew he knew it too. "Feeling better?" he asked.

"What do you think?" she raised a brow but remembered how much he disliked answering a question with another question. "It's good, thank you."

"I could assist?" he said, drawing closer to her.

She grew alarmed. "I've got it. You do not have to worry about me."

"I want to. Please don't push me away." His words held so much need and it made her believe she meant what he said.

She bit her lips and after a moment of contemplating; she nodded, and he drew closer to her. He crouched down beside the bathtub. He picked the bath foam from beside her head, dipped it into the warm water and ran it over the skin of her arm, earning a deep sigh from her mouth. She placed her head against the tub, letting him wash her. He moved the foam over her neck, making her tingle. He ran it over her chest, down her slightly sore nipples which he had tortured last night, fondling, pinching and sucking. They were still sensitive to his touch, and they hardened to the light graze of the foam. He moved down and rubbed her feet, up her legs and thigh. He paid keen attention to every part he washed and the further he came up, the tighter her breath got. "I need to use my hands between your legs. Is that okay with you, Mia?" informing her about what he wanted to do and asking for her permission seemed noble to her, considering his fingers were deep in her last night.

"Hmm." She bit her lower lips and nodded, granting him her consent.

He ran his finger over her upper thigh, slowly trailing his finger over her there, making her shiver on the inside.

There was a fine line between washing and turning her on. Xavier treaded over the line, turning her on while washing her. He affected her so much it felt like sorcery.

He dragged his finger up her thigh to graze over the space between her legs, and his long fingers trailed down to her entrance to replace her wet and slippery.

He glanced at her, holding questions and a tamed lust in his enticing gaze.

"Touch me." she pleaded. Her eyes held need and demand and he saw that and liked it. He rubbed his thumb over her c**t, playing and massaging her.

She shifted in the tub to give him more access to her and he took advantage of it, rubbing her until her legs clamped together. She sucked in her bottom lips and bit down on it hard as he pulled her to the height. He flicked her c**t one last time, and she lost it, her hand dropping to his and tightly wrapping around it.

She leaned in and kissed his lips deeply, "Thank you," she breathed, with a smile.

She felt grateful that Xavier thought about her and wanted to bring her comfort after the night they had. It made her cling to hope.

Xavier withdrew his fingers from her and then adjusted her legs. "Anything for my queen."

She ran her hand over his face, "Join me."
