Chapter 3679

“Uncle Jimenez, let’s keep walking,” Audrey said, supporting Mr. Jimenez as they moved forward, leaving Clarissa behind. It was clear that Audrey didn’t want to acknowledge Clarissa. Although she was born and raised inthis house for seven or eight years, after being away for forty or fifty years, she no longer feltconnected to it. Clarissa followed, her face dark. As the current matriarch of the Farrell family, she felt it was herduty to accompany the guests. “Why are you following us?” Audrey asked bluntly. Clarissa, her expression stern, replied, “Audrey, is this how you talk to your elders? I am yoursecond aunt.” Audrey responded, “Yes, you’re my second aunt, but you’re also the person who killed my parents.Do I have to be polite to the one who murdered them?” “Audrey!” Clarissa snapped, unable to take the constant provocation. As the head of the family for decades, Clarissa had a temper, and her patience was running thin. “You keep saying I killed my sister. Where’s your proof? If you have evidence, show it! Otherwise, it’s just slander. I could sue you for defaming me! The man you’re holding, Jimenez, wasmy sister’s assistant. After she died, he vanished. That makes him suspicious. Why did hedisappear for decades? Because he’s guilty! He must’ve tampered with my sister’s car, causing herdeath. When I tried to track him down, he ran. Now he’s back, trying to twist the truth and stirtrouble.” As expected, Clarissa turned the accusations against Mr. Jimenez. Audrey, staying calm, said to her son, “Clive, bring out the evidence Mr. Jimenez has kept. Let’sshow everyone here tonight how this woman, my ‘good’ second aunt, who my mother raised, betrayed her and killed both her elder and younger sisters.” Liberty spoke up, “Aunt, I have the evidence here.” She pulled out the documents Mr. Jimenez hadsafeguarded for decades. Despite the years, the papers and photos were well preserved, showing the care Mr. Jimenez had

taken to protect them. Now, everyone could see them. The documents were statements Mr. Jimenez had gathered from witnesses after uncovering thetruth. Though those people were long gone, the photos showed Clarissa meeting with the personwho killed the head of the family and exchanging money afterward. While the evidence wasn’t entirely conclusive, it was compelling enough to suggest Clarissa’sinvolvement in her sister’s murder. Liberty handed the evidence to the reporters and members of the Farrell family, letting everyonetake a look. Clarissa’s face twisted with anger, unable to replace the right words. She wanted to grab the evidencebut was too nervous. The yard was filled with people, and under the bright lights, everyone couldsee her every move. If she snatched the evidence, it would be impossible to hide her guilt. The reporters were snapping photos, capturing everything. Clarissa stood up straight, trying to appear unbothered. But inside, she was panicking, thinking, “Mr.Dunn, hurry up! Pour the gasoline, light the fire, and burn them all!”
