Mackenzie trembled.

In the next instant, she sensed something wrong. A sharp pain shot through

her abdomen, and her strength drained from her body.

“Your Holiness, spit out the wine now!” Rhett immediately noticed the change

and forcefully slapped Mackenzie’s back.

With his help, Mackenzie managed to vomit the wine she had just swallowed.

However, the poison that had already entered her system still took effect. The

amount was small, not enough to be instantly fatal, but still dangerous.

“D*mn it! We have been poisoned!”

Quintus and the others reacted fast, desperately trying to force the wine

from their bodies.

They were stronger than Mackenzie, so the poison took longer to affect them.

Still, it was just a matter of time. Anyone who drank the wine could not

escape the poison.

Soon, even Rhett, who was stronger than most, felt his face go pale. He knew

the situation was bad. This poison was impossible to resist.

The Five Poison Sect was infamous for a reason. This poison was tasteless

and colorless, impossible to detect or resist.

As the poison took effect, a woman’s laughter echoed above the open–air

banquet.

A woman dressed in purple descended from the sky, holding curved blades.

The cold evening wind only made her presence more chilling.

In the next moment, the villa exploded with shouts, echoing through the night.

Familiar faces appeared. They were the mountain bandits they had once tied

up at the base of the mountain.

Alongside them were even stronger fighters. Their appearance suggested

they were well–trained, and their strange expressions hinted that they

belonged to the Five Poison Sect.

“Heh, so it is just a group of defeated men joining forces.”

Quintus saw Envoy Amethyst and stood, sneering. “You ran away the last two

times, and now you cannot face us without tricks?”

“You’re an ugly lump of a fool. I will crush you today!”

Envoy Amethyst had the shortest temper of the Great Four Envoys. She could

not stand any insult. Without waiting, she swung her blades directly at

Quintus.

“An ugly lump? If you cannot speak properly, it is better to stay silent. It won’t

Quintus‘ retort was so amusing that if Mackenzie and Rhett had not been

poisoned, they would have surely laughed.

Quintus grabbed a table and hurled it at Amethyst. He then picked up a chair

and swung it at the woman who had insulted him.

The entire crowd was stunned.

No one understood why Quintus had not been affected by the poison.

Everyone else was completely drained of strength.

Envoy Amethyst was shocked as well. She slashed the chair to pieces with

her blades and retreated, confused. She did not dare make any reckless

moves.

replace a way to save her.

this!”

Mackenzie broke into a cold sweat, unsure of what to do next.

Envoy Amethyst shouted, testing to see if anyone else had a resistance to

the poison.

She was cautious, worried this could be a trap. She was ready to sacrifice her men if needed and escape, leaving the bandits and sect members to fight.

However, soon she realized that aside from Quintus, everyone else was

weakened and powerless. They had all been poisoned.

Even Rhett could not summon any strength.

“Heh, attack! They are on the verge of collapse! Finish them off!”

After giving the order, Envoy Amethyst resumed her fight with Quintus. She

quickly realized that the big man had not lost any strength. It was like fighting

a monster!

Glancing around, she saw Rhett who, despite being poisoned, still managed

Envoy Amethyst knew her true mission. She had come to kill Mackenzie and

Like the others, she served Teddy out of loyalty, not for personal gain.

She could not stand the idea of a mere woman like Mackenzie trying to bring

Teddy down. It was unforgivable.

Mackenzie looked up. Her body was too weak to run.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of her, catching Amethyst’s blades with

both hands.

Mackenzie was filled with fear. Rhett was in a terrible condition!

“Your Holiness, get away! I will hold her off!” Rhett gritted his teeth, his veins

bulging as he used every ounce of strength he had left.

Lexi saw this and tried to help Mackenzie escape, but she was too weak.

Envoy Amethyst coldly sneered.

Her strength was second only to Envoy Aora. Back when Rhett was injured,
