After the debate and speeches concluded, Ethan needed to return to the

Redstone Chamber, a highly secure government building to continue

handling national affairs.

The Redstone Chamber was the most secure place in Changea, and once

Emmanuel safely escorted Ethan back, he could enjoy a day or two of rest.

“Mr. Wolf, would you mind sitting with me?” Ethan asked as they prepared to

leave.

Emmanuel was slightly surprised by the request but agreed nonetheless.

Chester, however, wasn’t pleased. It was becoming increasingly clear that

Ethan valued Emmanuel more with each passing day while Chester himself

was being pushed to the sidelines. He could feel Ethan’s growing trust in

Emmanuel while his own presence was barely noticed anymore:

Mr. Wolf, my situation isn’t looking good. I might not be able to take the

position of president,” said Ethan bluntly, as if he could already foresee his

own defeat.

“Mr. Hale, the outcome is still undecided. Don’t lose hope just yet,” Emmanuel

replied, offering words of encouragement. “The game is still in play, and we

can still be the dark horses. Success is within reach if we act.”

“You’re right,” Ethan agreed, his voice calm. He was a seasoned politician,

well–versed in navigating political storms. “I’m not being pessimistic, just

making an early prediction so I can prepare the necessary plans.”

Emmanuel nodded, then asked, “So, Mr. Hale, why did you ask me to join you

in the car? Is there something specific you need from me?”

“Mr. Wolf, I need your help,” Ethan said directly, not one for unnecessary

pleasantries. “Historically, presidential elections have always been influenced

by the Four Great Aristocratic Families of Zovince. They hold immense power

nationwide. Typically, if a candidate gains the support of two of these

families, victory is nearly guaranteed.”

Emmanuel nodded silently, already familiar with this aspect of the political

landscape.

“The Chapman family is as wealthy as a nation, and public support often

follows financial interests. People want benefits, and money is the grease

that turns the wheels. The ‘wheels‘ are the people, and money is the oil.

Chanaea’s officials, giving them the ability to directly influence votes.

The Lannister family, with their prominent reputation, can sway public

opinion by simply endorsing a candidate. As for the Tanner family, they are

the rising stars among the Four Great Aristocratic Families. Teddy Tanner, the

chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, has nationwide influence, but that

family will never support me, so there’s no point in discussing them further.

At that, Emmanuel asked, “So, Mr. Hale, you’re hoping to secure the support of

the Chapman and Lannister families?”

Ethan nodded. “The previous president had good relationships with both

families, but I was only his deputy, and my connections with them are limited.

Nathan had never put a woman before his training or plans before.

“Haha, it’s not that she’s more important than you, Master, but I’ve already

made plans to meet her, and I can’t cancel now. Besides, you know her–l

always thought you’d make her part of your ‘collection!”

“I know her?” Emmanuel was even more puzzled. Who could this woman be?

Nathan couldn’t quite remember Ashton’s name–he had too many women

in his life and often couldn’t even recall the names of those he’d been with.

“Ashton?!” Emmanuel was stunned. He hadn’t expected Nathan to include

Ashton in his romantic conquests.

“Yeah, Ashton, that’s her name! Haha, it’s got a nice ring to it,” Nathan said.

“Anyway, Master, you left me hanging for too long, so now I’m doing the same

chasing women and having a new fling in the works.

over the city. Don’t tell me you think I’d forget someone like her.”

“Famous? She’s dying, Emmanuel. Once she’s gone, no one will care if she

was a beauty or not,” Blake snapped, frustration clear in his voice.

“She’s dying?” Emmanuel’s heart sank. Had he really been too late?
