Love at the Wrong Table by Emmanuel Lowe
Love at the Wrong Table Emmanuel Lowe Chapter 419

Chapter 419

Hundreds of people quickly got into their vehicles and disappeared from the

front of the hotel in an instant.

Jude felt like he was in a dream. Was there a film crew here to shoot a

movie? Were the people extras? If he accidentally appeared on camera,

would they give him some compensation?

However, Mackenzie paid no attention to his thoughts. After she gave orders

for a city–wide search, she walked directly into the hotel and entered the

room where Emmanuel had stayed for over ten days.

“Mackenzie, what are you going to do?”

Beatrix followed Mackenzie into the room and wondered why her sister would

come in when Emmanuel had already left.

Mackenzie didn’t answer Beatrix. Instead, she searched the room and her

gaze suddenly stopped on the floor.

There was a strand of black hair.

1TM

It was that dummy’s hair!

Mackenzie had mysophobia. She used to often replace Emmanuel’s hair at

home. At first, she would throw them into the trash bin with utter disgust, but

later on, she became used to it.

Now, she even picked it up and held it tightly in her hand like a precious

treasure. In the next moment, her beautiful eyes turned slightly red–rimmed.

“If I had known you would be hurt so deeply and if I had known it would lead

to Claudette’s death, I wouldn’t have played games and divorced you back

then!”

“If you hadn’t left my side, none of the things that followed would have

happened.”

“A house without you feels so lonely when I’m living alone!”

Mackenzie’s murmuring voice was barely audible, but Beatrix could still

vaguely hear some of the contents, and Mackenzie’s expression was quite

fascinating!

She had known that Mackenzie liked Emmanuel, but she hadn’t expected that

Mackenzie had actually fallen in love with him!

Oh, can you believe it? This scene is so incredible! If I go back and tell my

aunts and cousins, they will never believe it! Hehe.

“Emmanuel, you dummy. Where are you?”

Mackenzie sighed softly and carefully put Emmanuel’s hair into her pocket.

Days passed and it brought nothing but disappointment. Even with over a

hundred people conducting a blanket search in the Onza, and with Lexi and

Beatrix mobilizing the information networks of the Quillen family and the

Summerton family, there was still no trace of Emmanuel.

The next morning, Mackenzie couldn’t hold back her impatience anymore

and decided to go out and search on her own.

She didn’t even know where to start looking for that dummy. Moreover, she

was well aware that if Emmanuel was determined to avoid her, it would be

difficult for her to replace him, even with her abundant wealth.

Regardless, she was always the one that never accepted defeat. Besides,

she would make sure to be on the winning side even in a game of

hide–and–seek!

This time, she had to win against that dummy!

Mackenzie didn’t even realize where she had ended up as she mindlessly

wandered around. Suddenly, she raised her gaze and found herself in front of

a large hotel.

.

Although the hotel was beautiful, the Quillen family owned far more luxurious

hotels than this one, so it didn’t catch her attention at all.

She stopped outside the entrance because she saw the sign of the hotel’s

restaurant, which featured a delicious lemon butter garlic salmon dish.

She remembered that Emmanuel loved to make this dish. He would also

often go on and on that eating lemon would stimulate the appetite and that

eating fish was not only good for one’s health but also good for the brain.

At that time, Mackenzie had teased him while saying, “Well, you really need to

eat more of it, you dummy!”

When she recalled those moments, a wave of nostalgia and sadness

engulfed her once again.

That man made her experience the feeling of being in a relationship. He

made her realize that she was a normal woman.

He knew how to take care of her, yet he could also make her so angry that

she ended up drunk. Twice!

She loved and hated him at the same time, and after leaving him, she could

never go back to being the person she was before.

Perhaps, this was what marriage felt like!

Now, every moment spent with Emmanuel was incredibly precious to her

because she was deeply worried that she might lose him forever!
