Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 1013 Extra Story 151 Of Aaron Rebirth
When she walked out of the bedroom, special breakfast was served on the dining table in the Royal Garden. As she ate the delicious food, Ximena asked the maid who was standing next to her, awaiting orders, "Where is Mr. Brian Long and Mrs. Molly Long?" Respectfully, the maid answered, "Mr. Brian Long and Mrs. Molly Long were here a while ago. They left when they found out that you hadn't woken up yet." With a faint smile on her face, the maid continued, "They have arranged for a driver to take you to join them." Ximena raised her brow and smiled helplessly. She knew that it must have been Molly who had said that to the maid. It didn't seem like something Brian might do.
"Where are they?" she asked. "They are at the flower market.
"Ximena was surprised.
After breakfast, a driver took her to the flower market. When she arrived, she looked around the bustling flower market in front of her. She burst into a smile. She thought that perhaps there were no other couple in the world except Brian and Molly who would go to a flower market on the very next day after their wedding.
"Ximena!"
Molly called her name while she was still lost in her thought. Startled, Ximena looked ahead and saw Molly walk towards her with a flower pot in her hand. Brian followed close behind her.
"I've been told that you're going back today," Molly said and Ximena nodded. With a smile, Molly handed the flower to Ximena. "This is for you."
Ximena lowered her eyes to look at the pot of dark blue hyacinth Molly gave to her. As soon as she took it from her, she heard Molly say, "There is no past that can't be left behind and no future that can't be faced bravely." She took a pair of scissors from Brian and cut off the branch with the flower without the least bit of hesitation.
In a daze, Ximena watched Molly do the deed. Then she raised her eyes slowly to look at her with a confused expression. She knew that according to the language of flowers, hyacinth meant that you could enjoy a rich and colorful life as long as you ignited the flame of life.
In order to achieve that life, one had to confront the fear of death, and survive hopeless situations with all their strength.
"Ximena, do you know why we have eyes in front of our heads?" Molly asked Ximena with a smile on her face. "It's because God wants us to look forward. Whatever happened in the past will stay in the past, just like this dead hyacinth." Her gaze fell on the dark blue flower that had fallen to the ground pitifully. She continued, "New flowers will not bloom unless the past is abandoned." She smiled more brightly, her clear eyes shining with hope for a beautiful future for them all. "The flower language of the dark blue hyacinth is melancholy love," she said. Seeing Ximena's eyes widen, Molly winked at her in a sly manner and added, "This is a new product developed by the florist who sold it to me. He said that the kind of flower that would bloom next will totally depend on the person who takes care of it."
"Do you have to put all this in such a magical way?" Ximena asked with a grin. She was more realistic than Molly. She believed that the dark blue hyacinth which represented her melancholy love would still be the same dark blue hyacinth even if it were to be reborn. "All right. Now all your depression has been cast away," Molly declared, grabbing onto Ximena's hands. "Ximena, you will see the rays of hope one day soon."
Brian stepped forward and placed one of his arms over Molly's shoulders softly. Looking at Ximena with his falcon eyes, he said in a calm tone, "Aaron is one of my friends. I don't have many of those, because I think that very few people are qualified for that position. I believe that a man who is qualified to be my friend will never betray the woman he loves."
With the hyacinth plant, whose flower had been cut off, Ximena got on an airplane to QY Island. On her way back, she kept staring at the hyacinth blankly, which only had green leaves left on it. Absent-minded, she kept thinking about what Hanson, Molly and Brian had said to her.
It was late in the afternoon when she got off the plane at the airport in QY Island. On the horizon, the setting sun looked like a delicious big salted egg yolk which anyone would want to gobble up.
The sea breeze brushed Ximena's face, making her feel a bit cool. Her own home was the most comfortable place, no matter how great any other place looked. It was not until she had returned from this hurried trip without Aaron's company that she realized she was not sentimentally attached to any other place.
"Boss, was the bride beautiful?" an employee in her store asked when Ximena walked into "Only Memory" for the first time after coming back to QY Island.
"That is exactly what I wanted to ask," another employee said with great curiosity. "And was the bridegroom handsome? Was he more handsome than Mr. Leng?
.
Ximena answered with a smug smile on her face, "Every bride looks beautiful on her wedding day, and every groom who has the woman he loves by his side will look handsome on that day."
None of the employees were satisfied with her ambiguous answer, but they figured that Ximena didn't plan on saying anything more. Therefore, they were judicious enough to shift the topic. Sometimes it was better for them to know less about the upper class of society. "Boss," the operational manager for international orders walked to Ximena and greeted her. "These are orders I have selected based on your requirements. Please take a look and tell me if there is still any that should be removed from the list. After your approval, I will contact the customers."
"Hmm," Ximena replied shortly. She took the list from the manager and walked to her office.
As soon as she entered, her eyes fell on the hyacinth pot on her desk. Ximena remembered how happy Molly had looked that day. When one's heart was full of happiness, it showed on one's face as well.
She watered the hyacinth with a sprinkling can and then began working. It had been two days since she had come back from Dragon Island. However, Aaron hadn't come back yet. It seemed that the matter he was handling was quite troublesome after all. She hadn't come to her fashion design store in the past two days. Instead, she had gone to Aaron's villa where she had used to reside before, to the alley where she had met Aaron for the first time, to the tube-shaped building where Aaron had once taken her... She had memories that she would never forget in all those places. It was not until she had settled her heart down and had walked to all those places had she found that the only reason she couldn't let go of her past or feel content was because of what she had lost long ago.
The day she had stepped on the stairs at Aaron's mother's private graveyard was still fresh in her mind and she still remembered clearly the stair from which she had begun falling. Before all that had happened on that fateful day, she had wanted to tell Aaron that she was pregnant. She had had great hopes for their bright future. But she was left with nothing but sorrows on that day.
As she stood in front of the tombstone of Aaron's mother, she had still felt resentment towards her, even though she knew that the people whom Aaron's mother had killed were her father and her aunt, not her mother. But that resentment had become somewhat negligible recently. Perhaps her anger and hatred had been useful to her only because she didn't want to leave Aaron's side at any cost. She used her resentment to persuade herself that she should stay by his side to torture him, the son of the murderer.
As all these thoughts filled her mind, Ximena took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on her work. By the time she finished going through all the orders selected by the operational manager, it was time for lunch.
Her mother cooked meals for her every day and even took good care of her, but Ximena was still unhappy because Aaron was not there with her. Despite his phone calls every day, she could not smell his aura in the air around her, which made her feel vacuous. She stayed in the garden house, looking at the stars spread out in the sky and smelling the fragrance of the roses. One week had passed, but Aaron still hadn't come back.
Ximena sighed slightly. Curling up her body on the bean bag, she looked ahead blankly. She had been holding her cellphone in her hand. Aaron hadn't called her yet that evening. She was waiting for his call, which had become a routine.
Sleep gradually overwhelmed her. Her sight, which was fixed on the roses, became blurred. Her heavy eyelids shut several times, but she tried her best to stay awake. When she heard the sound of the glass door opening, her eyelashes moved weakly, but it was too difficult for her to open her eyes.
Footsteps approached her slowly and finally stopped in front of the bean bag. She saw a pair of shiny shoes and then a pair of slender legs in suit pants. Aaron squatted slowly to stare at the sleeping Ximena. A faint smile played at the corners of his lips. When Ximena opened her eyes slightly, he bent down to deliver a kiss on her sweet and soft lips.
