Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 1063 Extra Story 44 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol Exposure

Time went by slowly as the second hand turned around in circles. When the first glimmer of dawn appeared, people waiting for the newspaper had arrived at the office of the newspaper company.

After the last piece of newspaper was printed, Luis and his colleague in the printing department looked at each other and smiled. His colleagues distributed the newspapers to the delivery men waiting outside for them. Then with an air of authority, he instructed his colleagues who had been called to work overtime only this time to promote the rest of the newspapers to newsstands that had not subscribed to Public Voice.

"Our success or failure hinges on this one action. It will be the God who can decide whether we will live or die..." the editor-in-chief said while seeing the newspapers were taken away in stacks. He could not help but sigh deeply and pray hard that everything should end well in their favor.

With all the copies of the newspapers sent, Luis came to him and looked at him. When their eyes met, both of them smiled. Luis said, "Boss, I have a presentiment that our newspaper will not fail this time!" As soon as his words faded away, he took a newspaper, turned around and left the office of the newspaper company, without saying goodbye to anybody.

Nobody knew what Luis was going to do with that the copy of the newspaper in his hand. Since the hearsay that Public Voice was going to report on some major news today had spread, there were more newspaper retailers than usual who came to ask for today's newspapers. When they saw what was on the front page, they first looked at the editor-in-chief and the pile of newspapers, which seemed likely to fall at any time, then they asked for more copies of the newspapers.

The sun rose slowly from the east. While expelling darkness and quietness one more time, it sprinkled its warmth to the earth unstintingly.

Everybody, whether they were on their way to work or having breakfast at a restaurant, paid their attention to the report once they laid their eyes on the headlines. The news continued to ferment. As a result, even televisions and radio companies began talking about the front page headline of the Public Voice today. "A MYTHIC FIGURE CHEATS ON HIS WIFE AND USES VIOLENCE WHEN BREAKING UP WITH HIS MISTRESS?!" The headlines of the front page were blaring and shouting silently that the moment one set their eye upon it, one would definitely pick one copy to read.

Such a controversial title looked like gossip in the eyes of ordinary people. However, when they found that the man it talked about was Brian Long, the boss of Grand Night Casino, whose name had been exposed to the public since he had been assassinated in Phoenix Mountain ten years ago, they no longer viewed the news as a gossip.

Some people just enjoyed the news like watching a soap opera, while some laughed at Brian. More were waiting for the follow-up and wondered what would happen to the newspaper company knowing that it was Brian Long they had to choose to have a conflict with. For the past ten years, there had been no news about Brian. He had been a mysterious figure in the eyes of ordinary people. Nobody in the press circle dared report anything about him, to say nothing of reporting his dark side. However, the Public Voice dared do that. Many high-ranking figures had viewed this newspaper as an annoying one.

Now they were quite happy to see such a report on the Public Voice. They thought that their eyesore would finally be erased by somebody else. Their grudges for the newspaper would be avenged by Brian for them and they didn't need to do that by themselves. Thinking of that, they could not restrain their joy.

While people were laughing at both sides and waiting for the major show to unfold, Brian was sitting at the general control room on the top floor of Grand Night Casino. With his arms on the armrest of the chair and the back of one of his hands supporting his chin, he lowered his sight to look at the newspaper on the desk in front of him.

After escorting the twins to their kindergarten school earlier in the morning, he had directly come to Grand Night Casino. He thought that he had to talk with the God of Gamblers about something. However, before he was able to do that, Jason had come to him with a newspaper in his hand hastily.

Standing in front of him, Jason observed Brian with his eyes. Brian looked as calm as usual. He didn't seem to restrain his anger. Instead, he seemed to care not a scrap about what was reported in the newspaper. There had been an important gambling game at Grand Night Casino last night and Jason hadn't gone back home after the game. When he had been moving around the whole casino as a routine early in the morning, he had heard the dealers and waiters talk about this newspaper in their restroom. Out of curiosity, he had asked them about the detail and read the newspaper himself. Then he could not help but feel death was coming to whosoever was responsible for such havoc. Of course, death would not happen to him literally. It was Public Voice who would die very soon. "Has the news been removed?" with a calm and unbothered face, Brian asked. He raised his head to look at Jason with his falcon eyes. Awkwardly, Jason felt his boss' eyes were like sharp edges that were cutting his skin.

The latter's corners of mouth twitched. Putting the restraint on his fear, he said, "No... Not yet."

"What?" with his brows furrowed this time, Brian asked while pushing the chair behind him as he stood in surprise.

His response made Jason feel very oppressing. All of a sudden, he felt difficult to breathe. Secretly, he tried his best to swallow his slobber. The corners of his mouth were still twitching. He answered, "Public Voice is a pilot newspaper for freedom of speech. The local government didn't have the right to interfere in its operation. Whatever they want to report on, they need not report to the authority and obtain their approval in advance. Therefore..." As he stammered, Jason didn't know how he would finish his sentence as to not induce Brian's anger.

"Therefore, I can do nothing but see them continue?" totally vexed this time, Brian finished Jason's sentence in a calm yet gloomy voice. Slowly, he lowered himself to sit down again and leaned against the backrest of the chair.

Pressing his hands on his temples and being silent this time, Jason sensed that Brian was up to something seeing the frustrations he had this time. He lingered for a while and patiently waited for his orders. ☐☐☐
