Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 1067 Extra Story 48 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol Know When You Are Beaten
Brian wrapped his arms around Molly in a moment and she let her head rest upon his chest. Lost in the passion her man brought to her, all her thoughts stopped as if her heart took over from her head when they were close. She had lost count of how many times they made sweet love to each other, but every time she would fall asleep in his arms. Rays of the early morning sunlight cast squares onto the glossy stone floor, reflecting onto several objects in the room which decorated its otherwise simplicity. The warm ball of light filtered through her thin eyelids and awoke her. She turned around to get up but her body felt like she had been run over by a car.
"Oh, it's killing me," Molly groaned. It had been a while since Brian had acted so passionately in bed. And every single movement she made sent painful tremors through her body.
"Tap-tap!"
As she lay in bed trying to ease her agony, she heard a knock on the door. She rubbed her eyes and shook her head to clear the sleepy fogginess in her head, lazily responding, "Come on in..."
But before she could even finish her words, the door was pushed open. It was Charlie. He stood by the door, staring at her with his hands resting on the handle, as if he was waiting to say something. "Mommy, breakfast is ready, and daddy is waiting for you. Daddy said he's got other plans today, so you'll have to take us to get applied in school!" said Charlie, taking his time.
Molly was still in a daze in her sleep. She changed her position and sat upright on the bed, goggling at her son with confusion. "Good morning, sweetie! I'm sorry, but I didn't quite catch you. Have we already decided which school you were going to apply for?" Charlie seemed to be slightly annoyed, sighing in exasperation, and said, "Don't you remember what Daddy said to you last night at dinner? We're going to study in A City, Mommy! I clearly remember you nodding your head at Daddy when he said it..." "Did I?" murmured Molly, still gazing at Charlie blankly. In truth, last night when they were having dinner, all Molly could think about was how to make Brian leave the Public Voice alone, and thus, everything else they talked about must have gone over her head. And later after dinner, Brian made such passionate love to her that even though she wanted to have an elaborate discussion with him, he left her no strength to do so. Was Brian deliberately trying to keep her distracted?
However, as she rubbed her temples with her fingers, upon noticing the annoyance on Charlie's face, she nodded her head and said, "Okay, I'll come downstairs right away..."
"Great, I'll wait for you downstairs," said Charlie, turning around and hopping down the staircase like a little bunny rabbit.
Meanwhile, downstairs, his father was peeling the shell off of a boiled egg for his sister. Charlie came over and sat next to his father, furrowing his eyebrows and pouting his lips. "Daddy, I am starting to doubt whether Evelyn and I are really mommy's children." Evelyn suddenly widened her eyes upon his words, switching her eyes between her father and brother curiously without blinking even once.
Brian shook his head while an amused laughter broke from his mouth. He put the egg on Evelyn's plate and chopped it into smaller pieces. "Be careful when you eat. You wouldn't want to choke on food..." he said to his daughter tenderly before turning to his younger son, "Where did you get that idea, Son?"
"Mark told me that when he was my age, mommy did everything for him all by herself. She never made any mistakes or missed out on a single thing," Charlie explained. He was more mature than most boys of the same age group, but as a three-year-old boy, he still wanted more attention from her and would feel annoyed when his own mother ignored him. "We talked about which kindergarten Evelyn and I would go to over the dinner last night, but she seemed to have no clue about any of it. She doesn't care about us!" Brian cast a glance at the staircase quickly and then fixated his eyes at his younger son. "No, you're wrong. She does care about you, and she loves you very much. Actually, your mother had a lot on her mind last night, and that was why she probably forgot to pay attention to what we discussed," said Brian, trying to make Charlie understand.
"But, what was she worried about?" Charlie looked genuinely concerned.
Soon, they heard Molly's bedroom door open and her footsteps on the stairs. Dressed in a white shirt with a lace collar and a pair of puff sleeves, a pair of high-waist, straight-leg pants, and a pair of slimmer heel shoes, she was primed to take on the day like an elegant, professional woman.
Brian's eyes lit up as he stared at her without batting an eyelid until she sat across him at the table. This reminded Brian of the very first time he laid eyes on her. Although she had a timid disposition on the surface, she always insisted on taking big responsibilities that weren't meant for her to take, but that was just her way of showing how strong she really was on the inside. And perhaps that was what made him fall in love with her.
Brian seldom saw Molly dressed in a professional attire. For as long as he could remember she always dressed like an overgrown child when they were together. She was the kind of person who would rather wear comfortable leisure clothes and prints that would be more suited to a teenager or younger. She had a thing about 'Hello Kitty' often wearing it on her shirts or bag. Always her hair was in a pony-tail and her face was free of make-up. Unlike most adults, she would rather enjoy some quiet time over a cup of hot chocolate instead of coffee. Her idea of a 'good time' would be resting her head on Brian's lap while reading all the gossips about the celebrities she was interested in. If she weren't reading, she enjoyed to soak up all the Korean TV soaps and dramas. That was the Molly knew and fell in love with. Having understood her well, Brian knew that the best thing he could do for her was to let her be herself, instead of forcing her to be the woman he wanted her to be.
In time, his theory was proven right. Brian might not have been the most romantic partner, but he did the best he could to provide for her and their children.
After taking her seat, Molly gave Brian a furious glare before she asked which kindergarten the kids wanted to apply to and what she would have to do. She realized that the longer time she spent with Brian, the lazier and more mindless she became. That was because he took care of everything for her.
As for now, when it came to applying for a kindergarten for the kids, she would have done this without any problem by herself before, but now, as it turned out, she had to ask Brian about the details of what she needed to do. She was annoyed for feeling so helpless, as if without him, she wouldn't even be able to lift a finger.
"Okay, that's settled then. We'll head to the kindergarten after breakfast, and I promise everything will be perfect!" Molly said as she looked the twins, "And you two need to get your stuff ready."
