Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 1089 Extra Story 70 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol Trap

Jason rubbed his hands together, seemingly troubled by something. He just couldn't figure out why Brian would meet Mr. Gao at the controlling floor. At the end of the day, it looked inappropriate.

Brian caught what he was concerned about, and decided to dissolve his concern by clarifying it, "Allowing people from Connection to come here is to discourage them from having crazy ideas. Although Mr. Gao has little to do with our Grand Night Casino, he still spares no effort to cooperate with us. He tries to build close rapport with whoever comes to Grand Night Casino, especially the ones on the VIP list."

Jason understood the basic mechanics of conducting business with the rich effortlessly. Since the market was already saturated by Connection, expanding the market share was no longer an option. As a result, they looked forward to working with Grand Night Casino. "As long as he aspires to facilitate the collaboration, he will try his best to fix my problem personally, rather than ask someone else to do him a favor." Brian's gaze intensified as he continued, "Sometimes it's best to let others settle an issue for us. If a person cannot draw a lesson from his or her failure, and insists on grossly overestimating his or her own strength, that person will end up falling in a trap set by himself!"

Jason nodded in agreement, finally realizing what his boss' intentions were. As a devoted follower of Mr. Brian Long, he had to be equipped with the ability to comprehend what his boss meant. Despite having no idea about the real identity of that woman, Jason assumed that she must have gotten involved in some conflict with Brian and then come here to seek revenge with Mr. Gao as her back-up.

Jason heaved a sigh and shook his head, when he realized what would happen to the woman. The person in charge of Connection was an extraordinary person who got involved in every aspects of his business. He had to be smarter and more ruthless than the others in a bid to be in charge of the largest criminal association in A City! Since it was his girlfriend that got him into trouble this time, it was highly likely that he was going to resort to even more ruthless methods, just to make an example out of her.

What Jason imagined proved to be true. The next night, Mr. Gao brought his girlfriend, the trouble maker, to offer a humble apology and to ask for Brian's forgiveness.

"Mr. Gao, what's this supposed to mean?" Brian squinted at the woman, who had been significantly beaten, with a look of confusion.

Mr. Gao lowered his head in shame. "Mr. Long, it was my fault on this issue. I got framed by the people around me, and somehow got you implicated as well." He pulled her by the hair and slapped her swollen face, "This bitch right here is responsible for all this mess, Mr. Long." He then turned to face Brian and continued, "I've brought her here at your disposal."

"Um... Um..."

"Clap!"

Just as the woman opened her mouth to say something, Mr. Gao's hand slapped across her face, snapping it back with the force of his blow and causing her head to reel sickeningly. She staggered backwards and fell to the floor, clutching her face, eyes watering.

Sensing the remorse and fear in her eyes, Brian looked sideways at her with increasing indifference. The average memory span of an ordinary person would not be able to remember those they had met only once in ten years. However, Brian was no ordinary man. His memory span was far from the average man's. Despite this, it took him a while to recall this woman when he first saw her.

Actually, he had suspected the culprit was holding grudge towards Mol, or else, he or she should've hid drugs on him too. The person must have specific reason to target Mol. Combining all together, that was why he recognized who the woman was in a very quick time. Although, her name had already faded away from his memories, the event replayed itself in his mind like a brand new one. The woman used to work as a shop assistant at the shopping mall where Mol and Shirley used to go before she eventually lost her job. And by the time, her name was Eda Mi! It was her!

Brian was amazed. Even he couldn't have anticipated that ten years later, an ex-shopping assistant would crawl up to the position as Mr. Gao's mistress. Good for her!

"The last time I saw you was that night. I have to say, that was extremely stupid of you!" Brian's voice sounded cold and unforgiving, "Even though it were ten years ago, you couldn't do anything to Mol then, and you sure as hell can't do anything to Mol now." Eda remained silent, and even if she wanted to talk, she could not say anything because Mr. Gao had beaten her so badly that her throat would hurt every time she tried to form a word. All she could do was grunt angrily or whimper helplessly in pain.

Even after all these years she was not reconciled with the past. Years of jealousy she carried within her had left her dead inside. In her opinion, she looked prettier than Molly, was in better shape and more experienced in warming a man's bed. But why did life have to be so merciless to her? Why did life have to be so unfair to her?

She had been through relentless suffering just to become the personal mistress of the boss of Connection, so she could have the opportunity of exacting her revenge on Molly. Everything was supposed to go smoothly, but why did it turn out like this?

Tears of frustration and dejection welled up in her eyes. Every fiber of her being wanted to scream to be released from the hatred that surged within her. Her hateful actions had left her with no choice or consolation, but to give up everything she had worked for to get to where she was.

Brian turned around and looked at Mr. Gao, "She is your woman, and you are entitled to dispose of her however you like. But, keep this in mind. If I ever come across something like this again, Connection will end up like Black Widow."

Mr. Gao was a shrewd businessman, who was smart enough to see that this was his last warning. "Mr. Long, I thank you for your forgiveness. I personally assure you that this will never happen again! I will keep my people on a tight leash after this." Having met with Brian's increasingly fierce eyes, he continued in a low voice through gritted teeth, "Besides, I will also keep a watchful eye over Grand Night Casino, in case someone tries to bother Mrs. Molly Long again." While apologizing, Mr. Gao accidentally glimpsed at the large screen and found himself inexplicably drawn towards gambling, all of a sudden. 00000
