Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 515 The Death Agreement (Part One)

I'm not scared of going to hell. What I'm scared of is you not being there with me." -- Brian Long

***

Brian was driving the car on the slippery road - it had been raining and he hadn't been in a good mood either. One reason why he had agreed to meet Hannah was for Mr. Song - Mr. Song had rescued Wing once and he wanted to show his gratitude. The other reason was he wanted to distract himself from Molly but he realized that she never left his mind even after he saw Hannah.

Sneering, his eyes fell on what he could see as two figures ahead from his car. One of them looked like Molly. He grimaced at the possibility that this might just be an illusion. But when his car neared the figures, he saw Spark to be one of the two figures. He watched as Spark put his lips on Molly's.

Screech!

The brake screeched to a halt - its noise was worse in the rain. Brian wasn't thinking as he stopped the car and got out. Before Spark and Molly even saw Brian, Brian had already pushed Spark aside and pulled Molly up glaring at Spark.

Both Molly and Spark were frozen - they weren't processing what was happening. When they finally did, they were astonished to replace that Brian was the person responsible.

They stayed silent for a considerable moment that only the sound of the rainfall could be heart. Soon, they were all drenched in the rain. Brian was looking peeved. But unlike Spark, who was already looking embarrassed, he maintained his arrogant demeanor. "Get your hands off her!" Spark growled.

Brian sneered and said, "Why?"

"That's my wife!"

"Hmm!" Brian grunted, "She won't be your wife any longer. I won't allow it."

"You..." Spark gritted his teeth and wrenched his hands into tight fists.

Molly was just starting to process everything that was happening. She wrestled herself free from Brian's grip, scowling at him. But her lids kept fluttering because of the rain so her scowl didn't register the same effect it was supposed to on Brian.

Brian didn't try to tighten her grip around Molly - he just let her free. Instead, he stared at her coldly, "Molly, you don't deserve my sympathy. Even when you need me, you're still stubborn. That's big of you,"

Brian's sound was dripping with sarcasm.

"Brian, I'll never be yours because I don't want to be your wife," Molly glowered at him. She knew she might regret saying this because if it angered him, he would make her life more miserable.

"Really?" Brian taunted, "In the same way that you'll never see Mark again because I don't want you to see him!"

"You..."

Both Molly and Spark were speechless.

Without another word to Molly, Brian turned to Spark and spoke to him in a harsh voice, "Spark, I'm going to tell you the truth and it's up to you whether you're going to listen to me or not." He paused and then continued, "Molly isn't for you. She could never be as long as I want her. When I want something, I get it and that's always been true. No one can stop me from getting what I want."

Brian was soaking wet from the rain but not once did his icy countenance waiver.

"You don't want to go there, Brian," Spark hissed. Spark had had a very rough childhood and had built his career from the grown up, he'd been very proud of that and it often came out as arrogance. But going head to toe with Brian humbled him. He said firmly, "I'm never going to give up Molly."

"Never?" Brian taunted, "I gave you the benefit of the doubt because you stood as Mark's father when I wasn't there. But if you don't know what's good for you then who's to say you'll still live to see Mark grow up?"

"Brian, what do you want to happen?" Molly had lost all words - she was so angry. Her heart tightened hearing Brian say all those cruel words.

Brian's face looked even gloomier under the rain. He slightly turned his head and asked slowly, "What do I want to happen? You still don't know, Molly?"

"..." Molly was still too angry to speak. She stared Brian down completely aware of what Brian could do and how he knew no limits.

Molly felt her insides drop as she looked at Brian then at Spark. Spark cut her off when he saw that she was about to say something. "Molly, I swear to God, if you compromise yourself trying to protect me, I won't be able to forgive you," he hissed.

Brian's face remained still even after hearing that. Molly instinctively took a few steps backwards as Brian took a few steps forward, hands raised. He reached out to place a finger on Molly's lips as he spoke, "Her heart isn't as weak as she seems to be. You won't forgive her? Well, she won't care about that. Right? Mol?"

Molly flinched as Brian called her "Mol." She suddenly realized what Brian wanted to happen. Brian was more than willing to cross any lines just to ruin Spark's life if Molly ever said anything about him.

No... She couldn't let him ruin Spark's life.

Molly's head was spinning. Someone was suddenly pulling her right arm that tugged her body sidewards then someone else was pulling her left arm that tugged her body to the other side. Both her arms were now being held up by two different people, she couldn't move at all.

Spark stared angrily at Brian without a trace of fear. He didn't look anywhere near as scary as Brian but he huffed up his chest and warned Brian, "Don't even try to threaten Molly with me. I might once put my career first before but now Molly's my priority." Brian pulled a face after he heard Sparks' words, "You think so highly of yourself, Spark. Do you really think you can decide for Molly?"

"Mr. Brian Long," Spark said with a wicked smile, "you have no idea how to love someone, you only know how to be obsessed with someone. You only want to control them. Don't you think that's a bit pathetic? I have never thought of controlling Molly. I let her decide for herself because all I want is for her to be happy. That's all they need. Sometimes that's just what people need. All they want is a simple life. But you'll never understand that!"
