Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 628 Undying Love (Part Four)

Molly couldn't agree more. The white walls were decorated with spray paint. The bold colors, paired with the dramatic paintings on the walls, could lighten people's mood in an instant. A violin solo was playing in the background, adding an elegant ambiance to the place. Molly felt as if she was back in the colorful Burano Island. The bakery strongly reminded her of it, making her wish that she could return sometime soon.

"Do you have any specialty desserts?" Myra asked the waitress.

The waitress handed them the menu with a smile and said, "As a matter of fact, we do! A macadamia chocolate cake and a caramel macchiato would be perfect for this beautiful afternoon."

Satisfied, Myra ordered the waitress' recommendation. She turned to Molly, who was looking at the menu distractedly. She didn't even hear Myra calling her.

"Molly, are you okay?" Myra asked in concern, putting a hand on her arm.

Molly, coming out of her reverie, shook her head with a faint smile. "I'm fine. The cake looks delicious on the menu." She turned to the waitress. "I'll have the same. Thank you."

Myra laughed. "Haha, wait until you see the real cake," she joked. Molly was grateful that she didn't probe any further. The two women moved on to talk about other things.

Not long after, the waitress returned with their cakes and coffee. She was about to leave when something caught Myra's attention. "Hold on," she called out, "My friend and I ordered the same, but why do our drinks look different?"

The waitress was more than happy to explain. "Your friend's coffee is on the house. It's my boss' treat."

The two women shared a look of confusion. "Your boss?"

The waitress nodded. "This," - she pointed at Molly's drink - "Is a style coffee. It is named Undying Love." Beaming, she added, "My boss made it himself."

The name of the coffee and the waitress' words intrigued Myra. She looked at Molly with a raised eyebrow, and said, "Molly, dear. It seems the owner has a crush on you." Molly frowned. Myra was enjoying herself. She studied the coffee and commented skeptically, "The style coffee looks really special. Although there's foam on top, it seems to be missing its latte art."

"Wait just a moment," said the waitress cheerfully. She picked up the cup. "Now watch closely." She shook the cup lightly in front of them. Hearts began to appear one after another on the foam.

The waitress placed the cup back in front of Molly. "Enjoy," she said, before excusing herself.

Amazed, Myra looked at the heart shapes and said, "I take it back. This new owner is a latte artist." She glanced at Molly, smiling mysteriously as she cut a small piece of her cake. "It must be love at first sight. How romantic."

Molly looked at the drink, deep in thought. Then she spoke in a nonchalant voice, "I don't believe in love at first sight." She waved at the waitress to come over. The young lady approached her. "I'm sorry," said Molly, "I don't like style coffee. Please give me a caramel macchiato instead. Thanks."

The waitress hadn't expected to hear Molly's feedback. She wasn't sure how to deal with the situation. Fortunately for her, someone noticed the commotion and approached them. "Molly." An elegant voice could be heard. "You're breaking my heart over here. What seems to be the problem with the style coffee?"

"Spark!"

Both the women were surprised to see Spark. With mouth slightly agape, Molly tried to make sense of his outfit.

He was dressed in a white uniform commonly used by pastry makers. And if that wasn't convincing enough, he was holding a beautifully designed, mouth-watering cake.

Spark gestured to the waitress to leave them alone. He placed the tray on their table. "Welcome to The Summer Breeze," he said, grinning bashfully.

"Spark-" Molly tried to say something, but he interrupted her with a wry smile.

"Buy me lunch tomorrow." Spark leaned over and added, "Then I'll tell you everything. Everything you've always wanted to know. What do you say?"

Witnessing Spark's intense eyes as he looked at Molly, Myra sensed the unmistakable intimacy between them. An old gossip on some cyber forum from two months ago popped up in her mind without warning. Myra felt a platonic connection with Molly since the first day they met. She never paid much attention to rumors, but now that she was seeing it with her own eyes, she started to think that the rumors might be true. By the looks of it, Molly was very likely the woman in that gossip. What she didn't predict, however, was replaceing Spark Su in this bakery.

"It was said that the insurance for Spark Su's hands is over a hundred million dollars. Now, these skilled and valuable hands are here... baking cakes and brewing coffee. I'm a little worried now. Will my cake and coffee cost me an arm?" Myra asked, taking a sip of her coffee.

Myra's humor relaxed Molly. When she was caught glancing, Myra gave a playful wink. Molly pressed her lips together thoughtfully.

"Spark," Molly said, "Manny came to our troupe before. He was talking about you joining us. If that was the case, why are you running this bakery now?"

He shrugged. "I'm tired," he replied simply. "Managing this bakery motivates me."

"I did hear that Spark Su gets his inspiration in a special way," Myra put in. "Now I'm forced to believe that it's probably true."

Spark laughed but made no further comments. Besides his musical talents, he was also known for his arrogance and impatience. He never talked to anyone that he thought was unworthy of his time. However, if there was an individual whose company he enjoyed, regardless if he were a beggar, he would sit with him on the ground and engage with interest.

The room fell into awkward silence. Molly's mind was loaded with burning questions, but with Myra around, she could not risk asking any of them. Spark was well aware that Molly had to return to the villa after work, so he had asked her to have lunch with him tomorrow instead of having dinner tonight. However, Molly was dying to know all the answers. She couldn't wait any longer. Brian had gone off the radar for a while. She had no idea what he had been up to, and it didn't make things better that he stopped coming to the villa. Or so she thought.

When Myra excused herself to the restroom, Molly took this opportunity to tell him, "Spark, I have to be back at the troupe in a bit. I'll come over again after work."

Surprised, Spark noted the firmness in her eyes. He couldn't help it. "Okay," he answered. "You can come and taste the new flavors of the cake I made."

Molly nodded, but she doubted she'd be in the mood for cakes later. She stared at him meaningfully. Spark's hands were for the violin. Myra had a point earlier. How could he use them to make cakes?

Meanwhile, Brian was still stuck at the Emp Stock Exchange.

"Mr. Brian Long, everything is under Mr. Eric Long's control now," Harrow reported on the monitor. "The Congress will take place in three days as planned."

"Good." Brian responded. After clearing a few more matters with them, he turned off the monitor. Exhausted, he leaned back in his chair and stared out at the window. The sun was setting, preparing to dip away from sight whilst immersing the sky in bright orange hues. He stood up abruptly. Grabbing his suit jacket, he stepped out of his office. Tony, who had been by his side the entire time, followed him closely to the parking lot.

As soon as Tony brought the car closer, Brian sat in the backseat. Tony asked, "Where are we going, Mr. Brian Long?"

"The villa," he said plainly. Suppressing his bewilderment, Tony nodded and stepped on the gas. It had been a while since his boss came home this early. 0000000
