Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 669 An Interesting Coincidence (Part Three)
Licking her lips first, then licking the remains of the wine on her lips into her mouth, Molly admitted it tasted nice. She sighed deeply as if the wine evoked mixed feelings in her mind and the complex memory hidden deep in her heart. Without warning, she grabbed the glass of wine in Spark's hand and laid it on the table. To Spark, she said, "Give this to me. You take another one. This is just for me."
Even intoxicated and her words slurred, Molly spoke cheerily. A small smile lit her face, making Spark lose the ability to say no. He knew very well that he could not stop Molly. However, as the words hung in her lips, he still couldn't say it aloud. So, what he did was to nod
in agreement.
"I'll wait for you over there," Molly pointed to a place for rest next to the dining area. After getting your drink, meet me there."
After saying this, she walked away hastily with her food plate and sparkling wine before Spark could regret agreeing to Molly drinking so much.
Meanwhile, Brian sat frowning slightly annoyed that it had already been an hour since Victor left. He took out his mobile phone to send him a text message.
Molly was headed to the rest area searching for an empty chair. She singled out one suitable area and took a seat. After sitting down, her eyes scanned the place for Spark. As she did, she saw a man seated in a corner, wearing a black suit with a black and gold mask. The way he held himself reminded her of Brian. Only someone like Brian would have a bearing like that as if he was the king of the underworld and had the power to rule one's life and decide their fate.
Unconsciously, Molly curled her lips and sneered. Then she lifted the glass of sparkling wine and gulped it down in one breath. At that point, Brian had already sent the text message to Victor, so he lifted his head and instinctively glanced at the entire rest area. He also noticed the place where Molly sat to rest, although at that moment his view of her was blocked by a waiter.
"Can I have two glasses of sparkling wine, please?" Molly asked the waiter. She was pointing to his tray with a long, slender finger.
The waiter bowed and set down two glasses of wine from his tray. As she gazed at the wine, with its tiny bubbles floating, all of a sudden she felt upset and anguished. Mr. Song, sparkling wine. She shook her head and murmured, "No, no! Stop that, Molly. I came here today to have fun, not wallow in gloom and sorrow." Letting out a deep breath, Molly cast away these thoughts and emotions. Before she knew it, there was another glass of sparkling wine in her hand making its way to her mouth. It tasted slightly sweet with a hint of alcohol. It was refreshing and helped immobilize her nerves, and that was very satisfactory.
As if mesmerized by all of Molly's actions, Brian suddenly stood up and walked towards the woman at a slow and steady pace. With the dim light, he only saw an outline of Molly and had no clear idea of what she was wearing or the color of her outfit. One thing sure was he was attracted by Molly. It was an instinct that told him the woman was attractive and he was drawn to her to unveil her mask so he could replace out who she was.
Out of nowhere, a woman wearing a strong perfume walked into Brian. He was startled to see that she was in a blue dress and a white mask. Bending down, she apologized timidly but kept bright eyes on him. She pressed her lips tightly as if frightened by what happened. "Mol..." Brian muttered with a low and hoarse voice. His lips opened and closed slightly, and made him look rather sexy. At the same time, the severe cold made his naturally deep voice huskier, so it sounded more attractive and intriguing.
His effect on Hannah was instantaneous, and her eyes widened. She felt a pang of trepidation. When she settled herself enough to think clearly, she realized she was scared and simply wanted to turn around and run away.
"Mol..." Brian mumbled again. This time, he felt his throat was on fire. When he saw the figure who wanted to escape, desire engulfed his body and began to overwhelm him. It spread rapidly to his entire body until it reached his head. Brian shook his head hard, wrestling to get rid of the passion he felt. But the fire had taken over and heated every part of his body to the extreme.
The figure in a blue dress hurriedly slipped away that she ran into someone accidentally. Brian swallowed hard and tried to control his passion. But the sexual urge he felt was so strong that he just felt his legs moving and taking chase. The woman he thought was Molly continued to escape, moving faster and faster. Brian increased his pace as well. But each time he thought he was going to catch up with her, she always managed to keep a short distance between them.
The cat-and-mouse chase continued outside of the venue, while people inside went on having a wonderful and enchanting time, no one noticed this hilarious situation. Men and women on the dance floor, wearing a variety of distinctive masks, had loosened up and were dancing with wild abandon, or talking and drinking excessively without fear, regardless of their identities and status.
Wing walked elegantly to the bar. She turned her head towards the rest area with a bottle of juice in hand. Scanning the place, she thought she saw someone who looked familiar. Wing looked at Spark thoroughly from head to foot before asking a little uncertain, "Spark? Is that you?" She had to raise her voice to be heard over the noise.
Spark heard his name and turned around to meet Wing's gaze. He noted she was dressed elegantly in purple, and without a doubt said, "Wing?" It was thrilling to recognize someone even with masks on.
Wing was beaming with a huge and sweet smile and said, "I didn't expect you to be here because I know how you used to refuse to attend any social functions."
"Well, I was bored and had nothing else to do. So, here I am," Spark replied. D
