Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 679 Unwilling To Leave, Unable To Stay (Part Three)
Brian sneered, "Don't even think about it. Never. I won't let someone who framed me once work for me."
Vincent's lips twitched as he looked at Brian. He knew Brian very well but this person was a genius. He just wanted to replace him and work with him. Gritting his teeth, he said, "This person has got some talent, please, Mr. Brian. I'd like him to join us." Vincent was always a distant person. He devoted his entire life, heart, and soul to the Long family-and now here was a person that he really admired and he was begging Brian to let him work for him. Who is this person?
"And if I don't agree?" Brian said coldly. He too appreciated talented people but what this person did was unforgivable because he had caused a riff between him and Molly and now he even couldn't look Molly into her eyes!
Vincent squinted. It seemed like he had made up his mind. He wanted the person to join the group, "Then I'd assume you don't agree because you're jealous of him," he said in a clear voice, "It's not his fault. And I suggest that next time, you don't give in to temptations easily."
After he spoke, there was a deafening silence in the room. Meanwhile, Tony stood at the corner laughing silently.
Brian had stood up and glared at Vincent. He was furious and he could feel his hands shaking from anger. He punched him across the face and pointed a gun towards him.
Tony just watched the whole scene unfold and didn't even flinch. He knew that Brian was in no way jealous of whoever this man was. He was mad because he was framed. And now he couldn't even face Molly even though he was so sorry for what had happened. They had steered towards an entirely different direction and they were miles apart.
Tony sighed deeply. This was the side of Brian that he had never seen before. These days, he went out early in the morning and came home late in the evening. He was afraid to see Molly. He couldn't face her anymore. He was also afraid that Molly would leave him soon enough. Tony used to think that Brian wasn't afraid of anything. But now, he was afraid of a woman leaving him.
After being punched by Brian, Vincent's face did not change. It wasn't because he wasn't afraid to die. It was because he knew Brian wouldn't kill him. But he had never seen Brian act like this before. Today he was totally out of control.
Vincent didn't want to know why Brian was so mad at him. To him, Brian was a person of authority. He had never and would never doubt him. But he had made up his mind. "I'll say it again. I want this person to join the group and I stand by this," he said simply and left. Brian's lips twitched as he watched Vincent walk away.
Tony rolled his eyes. He knew Vincent was decisive, but he doubted that he would even replace this person. Then he murmured, "You want him to join the group. How do you even know he wants to join the group in the first place?" Brian lowered his hand and sighed.
The days slipped by. Nothing new was happening and each day was just like the previous. But the weather got cooler. It was already the end of the summer. Summer was always very short in A city. Most days it was just really chilly.
Holding a violin in his hand, Spark looked at the people sitting in front of him, then he rested his eyes on Molly. After that day, she didn't go back to the bakery anymore. There were a couple of times when Spark would come and visit Molly but she just treated him coldly whenever this happened. He knew that she really didn't mean what she said the other day and that it was just a bait. She just wanted to help him and it worked.
Molly stared at Spark, her heart pounding. This was the first time in a long time that she had seen Spark holding a violin. She tried to be calm, but she was worried about him. She didn't know what he was going to do.
Unlike Molly, when Wing saw Spark holding a violin, she wasn't surprised. She knew he would play the violin again because she knew that he wouldn't want to hurt Molly.
Spark started playing as he gazed at Molly. For the first time in a very long time, he was making music again. The music was beautiful. He played A Mark For Summer for Molly because this song represented his love and commitment for Molly. 'Molly, I'll stand by your side and protect you. I just want you to be happy all your life, ' Spark thought to himself.
Now it was morning and the world was still and serene, dappled with sunshine. Molly enjoyed the sun as she walked along the street After weeks of sadness, she was finally feeling better. Her face burst into a smile. She realized that life could be beautiful when she witnessed Spark playing the violin again. Every cloud and storm had a silver lining and you could always replace something good in everything, even bad situations.
Molly stopped walking and looked up at the sky. There were clouds in the sky. It was already the end of the summer, but the sun still shone brightly.
"Mark, I'll wait for you," Molly said gently. She missed him so much, but all she could do now was wait, "When you come back, we can leave the city and live a simple life on our own."
Her eyes deepened when she thought of how impossible this was. She felt hollow inside all of a sudden. These days, she tried to stay away from Brian, and Brian seemed to be doing the same thing. Maybe this was good for her. When she could finally leave with Mark, maybe she wouldn't be too sad then. A bitter smile appeared on her face. She couldn't believe after all these years, they would end up being the kind of two people who had run out of words for one another. Suddenly, her phone rang. The sun's glare was too strong that she couldn't see the name on her caller ID but she took the call anyway, "Hello,"
"Is that Molly Xia?" a voice asked roughly.
"Who is this?" Molly asked.
"I'm Mr. Song's granddaughter. My name is Hannah," Hannah said to her, "Can we meet? I need to tell you something."
"Why do you want to meet me? I don't even know you," Molly said coldly. She didn't know why this girl called her and what her intention was.
"You'll know who I am after we meet and talk," Hannah said to her.
Molly furrowed her eyebrows. For some reason, she started to feel uncomfortable. She wanted to turn her down, but she also wanted to know what she was going to say to her, so she replied, "Where do we meet?" "At Golden Bay Club" Hannah said.
"Okay, I'll see you there." Molly said, then she hung up the phone and took a cab to the club. The doorman waited for her by the door of the club. He was informed that she was arriving so he walked her towards the VIP lounge. When Molly got to the VIP lounge, she saw Hannah sitting on the sofa. They looked at one another for quite a while until Hannah broke the silence, "Please sit down."
Molly sat on the sofa, watching Hannah prepare the tea. She asked her, "Why did you want to see me? What's the matter?"
As Hannah placed a cup of tea in front of Molly, she looked up and said slowly, "I asked you to come here to discuss my pregnancy."
"I don't think that has anything to do with me," Molly looked at Hannah and frowned. She didn't know what she meant. They barely knew each other.
There was a bitter smile on Hannah's face. Pursing her lips, she said to Molly, "This does have something to do with you, because Brian Long is the father of the baby." `000000
