Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 693 The Endless Loneliness And Profound Hope (Part Three)
Mr. Song's sudden demise led to great chaos in A city. Even those who were completely detached and isolated from any event in the past years had started to pay close attention to the entire circumstance in a rather uneasy and tense manner. Media's eyes were all over this, they were everywhere, just striving to get a scoop of some fresh and intriguing newsworthy stories about his glorious life in a bid to improve their audience rating while attracting more readers. The stark contrast between his brilliant and impressive life and his miserable and tragic death now piqued people and brought a small magnitude of unsteadiness to the whole city. People concerned about his life and death with keen, overwhelming feelings, while some were ignorant, some were pleased, but most of them pitied how such a brilliant mind died in an inhuman and cold manner.
Lose Demon Bar.
In a black body-hugging outfit, Black Widow leaned against the bar counter with one of her arms propped onto the counter and held a glass of beer in the other hand, as she looked at all the men and women gathered there, just swaying their bodies crazily to the beats of the music playing loud and clear on the dance pool. Slowly, a contemptuous and sly smile came across her face.
"Could I have a glass of lemonade, please?"
a smooth and expressionless voice of a woman came through from behind. Black Widow didn't turn around to see who it was. Instead, she just took a sip of her beer and said in a slow, condescending tone, "I owe you a favor this time. So what is it that you want?" The woman came forward and grabbed the lemonade from the bartender and sat on the stool next to Black Widow. She was dressed in active sportswear finished with a baseball hat. In comparison to all the people dancing there in the club, she looked so completely different in her distinctive attire. Her contrasting outfit made it appear as though she was an underage student who snuck out of school and came to see the world that she had never explored before.
"Well, as a matter of fact, I do have a favor to ask of you," she said idly as she lifted her glass and took a big sip. The lemonade was cool and refreshing. The satisfaction of having that beverage as it flowed down her throat cooled her down, her lips gradually pulled into a cunning smile.
"I know," Black Widow said as her eyes remained fixed on the beer. "Hannah, the fool. I wonder how she looked, what her expressions were when she found out that her Mr. Song is dead. How miserable must she be now!" Black Widow continued to speak as her eyes glistened in a dark and sinister light, "Mr. Song's glorious time has finally come to an end. And although Mr. Shen was released from jail, he has been deported from the country. Now there is no one to support her, no one she can run to for help."
The woman sneered with happiness as she finished speaking. "I agree. No one can escape from your hands. You are the smartest one," she said, squinting at Black Widow.
Black Widow snorted in contempt just soaking the compliment, as she replied, "I heard from my men that she was taken yesterday evening, and was tormented all night long." There was a shocking sense of cold and inhuman motive resonating in her voice. "Indeed, there is no one except Mr. Brian Long in A city who would dare to do such a thing. He is the only one who would have the nerve to throw Hannah to those coarse and dirty workers while infuriating Mr. Song to death."
"Actually yes he is," The woman agreed in a slow tone to avoid any conflict. "Actually in everyone's heart, upon hearing the series of events they knew for certain that it was Brian who manipulated everything. It is another matter that no one has the balls to stand up and point fingers at him, moreover even cops preferred to keep their eyes closed even after knowing what is going on." She paused for a moment, to gather her thoughts, and went on rather wistfully, "If only he wasn't Molly's husband, I would like it so much to be friends with him."
"You are better off without his company. He is honestly the most poisonous and cold-blooded snake on earth," Black Widow warned in an almost introspective tone. Internally, she recollected her experience, the struggle that she faced. She knew that in all these years, it was not just her ruthlessness that helped her survive, it was also her calm mental state that prevailed in every difficult and tough spot which lead her here, safe, strong and most importantly powerful. She always had one guiding motto to live by, and that was to never challenge anyone that she had no ascendency over.
"But I believe that everyone has his weakness, including even Brian," the woman said with a certain level of persistence. She then went on, "It was quite stupid of him to hold Molly in the farmland and think that was a safe move!" A sardonic and sadistic smile appeared on her face as she finished speaking. But within a few moments, she pulled back her revealing smile and looked up with an evil look as her eyes filled up with a vindictive light. "Molly is not a tree, she is a person with mind and heart. No one would like to be held behind bounds forever. Eventually, she would replace her way out one way or another."
Her voice was full of certainty and determination almost like she knew something. Black Widow remained silent. She finished drinking her beer and signaled the bartender to refill her mug. After she got her beer, she chugged down a big portion of the beverage and sat there in silence absorbing the moment. After a while, she turned to the woman. "I guess that is why you have come here today, isn't it?" she asked.

Molly sat on the bench in the yard. As fall had just started to set in, the yard was a pleasing and soothing mixture of yellow and green. The wind was blowing gently over her head as it swayed her hair. Just like fall pictures, in a beautiful fashion yellow leaves were scattered all over the ground. She looked at the tree. How slowly swaying to the wind the leaves fell swinging down in a melodic manner! The scene was therapeutic in some way. Yet her eyes were full of misery and grief over her life, just like the dull and lifeless leaves, there was nothing left but to wither as the day went by.
Suddenly she heard the dog barking loudly, so loud to break her chain of thoughts. It was the Black Wolf. Right as she began to gather her scattered thoughts, he came up to her. He then rested his big head idly on Molly's feet, he growled lightly under his breath to express his content mood. A woman with her loyal dog companion, sitting against the beautiful scenery, made for a peaceful and harmonious picture of life.
"Hey, Big Guy," Molly called out tenderly. To her wonder, the Black Wolf lifted his head swiftly at the calling of his name. His eyes were soft and bright, looking up at her as if he was all optimistic to hear what she had to say. Molly was amused by the dog's understanding nature. "Were you always locked away in the cage before I came?" she asked.
He growled softly again, almost as if he understood and indicated a "Yes". Molly bent slightly forward and studied his face closely.
It seemed unbelievable that this same sweet and subservient dog who rested on her feet so gently at the moment was actually the same dog who terrorized everyone and bit people mercilessly in the past.
"We are the same, you know, facing the same situation," Molly said gently as she looked into his eyes, "Like you are held in the cage against your will, I am held in this manor with no say." Molly smiled in a wry and helpless manner. "But I guess you are in a slightly better situation because they at least let you stroll outside from time to time, but they will never allow me to have such a privilege," she said.
The Black Wolf growled softly to express his sympathy. He began to rub his head on her thigh gently and softly almost as if he was consoling her. 000000000☐☐☐☐☐
