Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 751 Something Engraved On My Heart Never Changed (Part Four)
Then, something clicked in her mind. She suddenly got up and said to her son, "No, I cannot let him go like this." Mark just stared at her in his seat. After a few moments, she continued, "Mark, you stay together with Vincent. I have to go to the casino again." Her son just looked at her pointedly.
"But you just lost," Mark tried to reason with her with his lips pressed into a thin line. Mum coming back means her first shot has failed, 'he thought to himself.
His mother looked at him and said, "Yes, I have lost to Brian in the casino. But I did not in other ways."Then, she announced in a resolute voice, "We will buy a house tomorrow. A super apartment in Kylin Street." Mark and Vincent just gawked at her. After her lofty speeches, Molly turned around and left once again.
As he watched his mother's receding figure, Mark only shook his head and turned to Vincent. He said, "Mum's plan will not work as Papa Brian is never moved by this.
From my point of view, Mum should make a strategic plan, aiming to be accepted by Papa Brian!" He stated in an adult-like manner.
"I cannot agree with you more," Vincent replied. The older man nodded his head as he watched Molly's back outside. He personally thought that Mark was right.
The two could only wait for what was next.
The twinkling lights and the endless drinks still made their rounds in the Grand Night Casino. People were still immersed in their scandalous world of drinking, gossiping, and wasting their money away.
Still dressed in the same elegant black frock, Molly only stuck herself in the five-card stud. She did so not because she could not win in other games, but because she was extremely depressed this time.
That was because she had won more than five million in the gambling tables of the Hall. However, no one seemed to pay attention to her or this feat!
Not Brian, not Jason, and even the manager of the lobby did not notice her!
"All in." She said calmly as she pushed the stack of chips away from her. The neatly arranged pile fell on the felt fabric of the table.
Everyone looked at her, but no one spoke a word
The dealer broke the silence and finally said, "We are Sorry, Miss, The maximum amount here on this table is a half a million. If you want to challenge more than that, could you please go to the VIP room?" He looked at her and waited for her response.
"I just want to be here," she said after a little pause. However, Molly began to make a scene. "A big gambling house like the Grand Night Casino dare not let me win?" A few spectators now looked at their table.
Meanwhile in the monitor room, Brian couldn't help but look at Molly in the monitor with fascination. He felt something complex that he couldn't quite see through. He wanted to just gaze at her forever like this. In the two years that she was missing, he actually didn't bother to replace any information about her whereabouts. Moreover, he didn't allow anyone else to look for her either, as if she had totally disappeared from the face of the earth.
However, in that time he couldn't forget her at all and finally decided to send Vincent to look for her.
When Vincent made a mistake and got down on his knees outside the Grand Night Casino to ask for his forgiveness, he insisted on letting him go and did not change his mind after. However, as Harrow came to the scene, he persuaded Vincent to go to Molly, to protect her on Brian's behalf. It was just because Harrow was flexible enough and understood him more, plus he knew how to cope with accidents. 'Harrow knows that Molly is still the most important person to me, ' he thought to himself.
The door suddenly opened to reveal Tony, who called out his name, "Brian! Shall I ask Jason to go down to handle this?" He asked his boss.
However, Brian did not reply. He continued staring at the monitor, where the dealer just stood there in a dilemma, not knowing what to do next.
On the other hand, Tony wondered about what Brian thought. Neither of them expected that the woman who challenged Brian was Molly. In the two years she was gone, she seemed to have completely changed and she was nothing similar to the woman she had been back then. She got stronger and fiercer, as if no one could defeat her.
While they thought about the situation, Brian suddenly stood up from his seat and got out of the room. Tony grabbed Brian's coat beside him and followed his boss in a hurry. They went immediately to the elevator and down the playing hall. When its doors finally opened, the noise of the hall assaulted their ears. Some people were still focused on the gambling table, and others were spectators around the five-card stud tables. On a great night, the playing hall of Grand Night Casino was really a fun place to be in.
Brian wore a long expression on his face. His polished dress shoes tapped on the marble floor as he quickly walked towards Molly, who was still shouting at the staff. The lobby's manager was also there to deal with what was happening.
"If Brian set the rules that no big bet was made in the lobby, I would go."
The irritated voice of Molly spoke to the manager of the lobby, her arms folded in front of her breasts.
The manager could only frown at Molly and inwardly grit his teeth. He thought, 'If anyone else acted like this, I would have already asked the security to drive her out. But it is just Molly, the former Mrs. Molly Long! Even though she is not Mrs. Molly Long now, but who knows what is in Brian's mind?'
Molly's voice broke him from his train of thought. "Do you understand what I have said?" she exclaimed.
"Ahhhhhhh!" Molly suddenly screamed as a pair of hands grasped both of her arms without warning. She was pulled away from the lobby and dragged towards the door before she could even stand up by herself.
Before she could continue her screaming protests, she stopped when she saw that the person who was dragging her was none other than Brian. Her face lit up and a smile graced her beautiful face that wore only a minimal amount of makeup. What was he going to do?
