Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 801 Molly And Eric Are Engaged! (Part Three)

as Frank didn't fall in love with Smart at first. Nonetheless, their love for each other grew stronger after they got married.

"Even if Brian wants to get back with Molly, what about Eric?" Richie said lowly but firmly. His eyes sharply glanced across everyone. "One-sided love doesn't always turn out to be unhappy." He looked at Frank and Smart, "Or does it?" Richie asked this question to Frank Frank frowned upon hearing his question, while Smart grimaced. They knew that his words did make sense.

Their marriage was not based on their mutual wishes at first. However, they ended up really happy with each other as their marriage bloomed. It might not be the powerful and breathtaking happiness that they had expected. But then, the happiness they had was consistent and secured. It was the type of happiness that stayed whenever and wherever.

Shirley sat down slowly and looked at Richie. She looked bitter when she asked, "Richie, just tell us, what's on your mind now?"

Richie rested his back against the sofa. All the attention was suddenly at him; thus, he said in a lighter tone, "I always believe that everyone's destiny is under their own control. If they want to take the wrong way, then others cannot push them in the right way!" What he meant was that he didn't want to meddle in their business and preferred to let them manage their own business. Regardless if things ended up happy or not, everyone needed to be responsible for their own life. No other could always help them correct their mistakes but themselves.

The climate of Dragon Island was pleasant. The sun was still comfortably warm against the skin despite winter.

Spark tucked his hands in the pockets of his trousers and walked forward. Molly followed him quietly as she maintained some distance from him.

"Mol, sometimes, people get their happiness through different ways." Spark suddenly paused. "Maybe, you might gain more in a different way."

The statement made Molly smiled bitterly and said, "What gain can I have?" she looked emptily at the beautiful scenery before her before opening her mouth again. "He doesn't love me anymore. Somebody should replace him to love me, right?"

The corner of Spark's lips raised. Then he turned around and looked at Molly. "There is no denying that Eric's really good for you. In fact, marrying him might be the best choice you will ever make."

"You also think so, Spark?" Molly whispered while frowning.

"Of course!" Spark said as he went back to walking. "As long as you're happy, whoever you will marry to will be the same to me."

"But what about you?" said Molly as she stared at Spark's back. She saw how Spark's back tensed upon hearing her. "Why the "whoever" can't be you?" Molly kept asking.

A sudden emptiness showed on Spark's handsome face. However, the mildly blowing wind swept that sadness away. He could feel his blood rushing inside his veins and yet he just said calmly, "Mol, I know very well that you don't have a place for me inside your heart." A bitter smile cracked his lips as he added, "If the three of us are put inside your heart side by side, I'm pretty sure that the two others would fight to take over my space until they squeeze me out! You love Brian and Eric always has a special place in your life as someone who you can depend on whenever and wherever. But what about me?" He sneered at himself. "We have no special bonding except for those four years we lived under the same roof. Although we lived under the same roof, I always felt that Cupid's arrow didn't hit us. Moreover, regardless of how hard I tried, I still could not get into your heart. If there is really a special place for me inside there, I guess we could have been together a long time ago. I don't think that I should wait till today, right?"

Molly remained quiet. Frankly, Molly didn't know what she was exactly yearning for too.

They walked together along the winding mountain path of the Dragon Island. The winding road that they were walking on suddenly seemed as inexplicable as their thoughts.

Molly continued walking behind Spark. However, as she was walking, she suddenly slowed down, until she was finally standing dumbfounded.

Feeling that Molly didn't keep up with him, Spark stopped and looked back. He was instantly flooded with concern upon seeing Molly staring blankly, thus, he asked, "Mol, what's the matter?"

Molly was still looking around absentmindedly, "I seem to have been here before... But I can't remember the details."

"Didn't you say that you have been in Dragon Island for a while before?" Spark reminded gently. Walking towards her, he also looked around and continued, "Maybe you are thinking of something at that year?"

Hearing his words, she collected her thought and tried to think. However, only some vague broken segments of her past memory came to her mind. It seemed like her mind had intentionally forgotten about some of her memories about the Dragon Island. "I'm Mol... Oh, I need to go now,"

a little girl was suddenly talking in her mind. It was as if she was talking to a boy. It was just that she couldn't remember what the boy looked like at all. It was like the boy's face was covered with mosaic.

"Mol? Mol... Mol?" She still didn't respond. Thus, Spark grabbed Molly's shoulder and shook her a little hard. He was already screaming when he called her name again, "Mol!"

That was when Molly suddenly regained herself and looked at Spark blankly. It was only then too that she realized what happened and how she got trapped in her memories. "I'm sorry!" She suddenly burst out.

"What are you thinking about?" Spark asked with a slight frown.

Molly shook her head and then looked at the hillside's path. The originally clean roads were now overshadowed by the towering trees. The pathways were now covered by fallen dry leaves too. Everything about it was ruined and depressing. Then, another conversation popped into her mind. "Why help me?" a little girl asked doubtfully.

"Do I need to have reasons?" a boy retorted indifferently.

"Well, then thank you for your help. I owe you a favor," the girl said seriously.

The old and worn-out memory was pouring out of her head.

Molly looked at the towering trees and her eyes suddenly widened. Oh goodness! She finally remembered who the boy was!00000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
