Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 841 You Will Understand Life When You Understand Love (Part Two)
Brain gazed at Molly. Then he put his hand on the back of her head and his handsome face drew closer to hers... Brian's lips covered Molly's, and he tasted her tears. "Stop it!" The mood was broken by Mark's sharp cry.
Mark tried hard to pull Eric's hands away from his eyes. But no matter how hard Mark tried, Eric's hand still prevented him from looking at his parents. He yelled at Eric, "I wanna see this. Let me go!"
Eric replied to him while staring at the kissing couple, "You should avert your eyes when two people kiss." It wasn't his line. It was a saying from "The Analects of Confucius." And while he hid Mark's eyes, his own were wide open. He was enjoying this too much. With Mark still struggling, he tucked Mark under his arm and took him outside Glamour Hall.
The moon hid itself behind the clouds and the lit up Glamour Hall was conspicuous in the dark night. Eric carried Mark, but he still felt lonely. He was not sure if he could always hold back his tears. It wasn't just Mark that made him leave the ceremony. He kept talking to Mark, hoping to console himself. If he couldn't hold back his tears, he would hurt the great image and dignity of the ruler of Dragon Island!
"Uncle Eric!" Mark sensed something was up, and decided to change the subject. While he was talking to Eric, he put his arms around the man's neck.
"Yes?" Eric replied, still lost in his thoughts.
"Do you want to listen to my song?" Mark asked with a soft voice.
"Of course I do." Eric answered him.
"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are..." Mark sang happily, "You're off-key," Eric reminded Mark. He pretended to judge about Mark's song. Probably he wanted to fill the empty space in his heart with empty words.
"I'm not!" Mark retorted.
"You are!"
"Hah! I'm the best at singing this!" Mark hugged him. He wanted his Uncle Eric to be happy too, and maybe he could if they teased each other.
Eric took Mark back to his bedroom and soon the boy was asleep. Eric stood on the terrace with a cigarette in his hand. The only part visible was the cherry, a red point in the darkness.
He took a drag and blew a puff of smoke out of his mouth. Staring at the moon in the dark sky, he felt as lonely as that lone celestial object. Eric didn't know how much time he needed to get over his fit of loneliness. But he tried to get past it. He really wanted Brian and Molly to be happy. He also wanted to replace his own happiness too.
"Hmmm..." "hmmm..."
His phone was buzzing on the desk. Eric entered the room and looked at the flickering screen. He frowned and picked it up after he saw the call was from the police department of Dragon Island.
"Mr. Long," the voice over the phone said. It belonged to the police department minister. "Our patrol team found a suspicious woman near the National Congress. When we questioned her, she insisted that you arranged to meet her there." Eric frowned and asked, "You get her name?"
"She told us her name was Sara." The voice on the other end of the line replied.
Eric suddenly remembered something from about twenty days ago. He met a reporter at that time. He remembered that he asked Sara to come to him for her camera. But he never mentioned anything about the National Congress. Thinking about it, Eric told the cop, "Be there soon."
"Yes, sir!" The minister of the police department replied. The minister heard Eric hang up. He put his phone away and raised his head. He made a gesture to the policeman near him and said, "Bring Miss Sara to the reception room
"
In the Glamour Hall.
The other members of the Long family had left the hall, leaving the colorful lights shining in the yard, just like the stars in the sky.
The grand piano was still there under the soft light. Every time she looked, Molly imagined Brian sitting there, singing that emotional song. His voice was so pleasant, even nicer than that Park Shin Chun. She silently apologized to her mother as the thought came to her. Her mother was a fan.
Molly raised her hand and looked the ring around her finger. She would never forget the ring. Molly's smile grew larger, and soon it reached the bottom of her eyes and dominated her whole face.
Then strong arms encircled her from behind. Molly leaned back without a word. After a short hesitation, Molly started talking in a soft tone, "Brian?"
"Yes?" Brian responded in his charming voice. He closed his eyes with his nose touching her hair. Brian smelled Molly and was in heaven. Eyes still closed, he hoped to remember this moment till the end of his life.
"Did you always have the ring?" Molly asked in a soft voice. At the same time, she gently touched the bauble.
"How could I throw it away?" Brian answered her. With a pause, he continued, "The Soul of K symbolizes the gift of a person's soul. What's more, it's a special ring for me. Because it belonged to you."
Molly pursed her lips. She felt as if she was falling into a pool of honey-it was so sweet for her. "You said you couldn't throw it away. But if I hadn't found it that day, would you go dumpster diving?"
Brian didn't reply, but he held her tighter.
Molly just let it go. She lay in Brian's arms and imagined that Brian ran after the trash truck, and then, catching it, sorted the trash piece by piece until he found the ring. Finally, rummaging through a bag of trash, he found what he was looking for. Molly laughed inwardly. It was so funny that Molly couldn't help giggling audibly.
"What are you laughing at?" Brian asked, gazing at her face.
Molly curled her lips, "I just imagined you looking for the ring after I left, just like in a TV drama."
Hearing what Molly said, Brian gave a helpless smile and said, "That's only on TV. Only an idiot would do that..."
Molly opened her mouth slightly, and hummed.
"Molly," Brian spun Molly around so they were face to face. "Please tell me the truth. Are you happy?"
Molly nodded and felt confused, "Why?"
"I just want to make sure that you aren't forcing yourself to love me. I want to make sure you're really happy when you're with me." There was a tone of caution and uncertainty in Brian's voice.
Molly looked Brian in the eye and was silent for a moment. After a while, her voice thick with emotion, she said, "My life would be colorless without you. I won't be happy at all without you. You're the only one that can make me happy. You are the only one that I could fall in love with. Brian, I love you. You are my only love forever..."
After Molly said this, she stood up on her tiptoes and put her arms around Brian's neck. Then she put her lips close to Brian's and kissed him softly. Her move was timid as well as inexperienced. Molly never did this-she wasn't really sure how.
It was late at night, and the moon had hidden itself behind the clouds as if it were also shy... Their passion filled the room. The sounds of a woman's moans and a man's gasps were mixed into the most beautiful love song ever..000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
