Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 911 Extra Story 49 Of Aaron The Cause Of The Accident

A deafening silence spread through the corridor, everyone that heard the doctor's announcement went blank in an instant as if a blanket was thrown upon them. The doctor's last few words made everyone's faces frozen at this moment. Some couldn't help but gasp in

shock while others held their hands in their mouth in disbelief. The three men except for Aaron found the news so unbelievable yet disheartening.

"She's pregnant?" With the creases increasing in a furrow on his forehead, James rushed forward by pushing his wheelchair and asked anxiously. His sound was not as calm as usual but was filled with mixed feelings of strong hostility for anyone who had caused the accident and full of deep concern for Ximena.

Hearing his question, the doctor twitched the corner of his mouth, nodded heavily, looked at Aaron-now the real powerful ruler of QY Island, and said in a solemn voice, "I am sorry, but despite our best effort, the baby in Miss Mo's womb still could not be saved." Pausing for a while, to give Aaron some time to let the bad news sync into him, the doctor heaved a deep sigh. "One of the reasons was that I think, on the one hand, Miss Mo's emotional depression was not very good for the baby in her womb. On the other hand, after falling down from such a high place today, although Miss Mo did not seem to be seriously injured, the baby in the womb could not withstand the mother's accumulated emotional depression," the doctor continued.

Aaron did not say anything but listened quietly to what the doctor said.

At the very moment, he didn't want to blame anyone else, but only had the thought that he should take full responsibility for the accident. He couldn't help but be angry at himself, if only he had not brought Ximena to that place and if only he didn't lead her towards that staircase. Aaron had a lot of ifs on his mind yet he told himself, 'It's too late. The baby's gone and I could no longer bring the little angel back.'

"How is she now?" As he asked the doctor, Aaron's voice was, however, indifferent, not revealing any of his emotions.

"She hasn't woken up yet, and later will be sent to the ward for her recovery," the doctor said gravely. "You can see her at the ward later on."

Left with no choice but to accept the fact, Aaron nodded and motioned the doctor to go back to his work while ignoring the three men beside him. With a cold stare, he turned around and was about to leave.

"What are you going to do?" came the cold inquiry from James.

Pretending to not hear his brother, Aaron did not stop his footsteps. Instead, he threw cold words to him quickly, "James, she has nothing to do with you now. If you do not want her to keep suffering for you, do not put the concern for her on your face, and do not even bother to visit her!"

Shocked at his cold treatment, James opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but eventually, he kept his silence and curled the corners of his lips, forming a sneer at himself.

'What Aaron said was right, and in any case, I shouldn't have shown her my deep concern. She...' he thought bitterly and paused for a while. Moments later, he decided to shut off the idea on his mind and reminded himself to stop thinking about Ximena. He didn't want to be involved with her anymore. She belonged to Aaron now and all that James could do was to sympathize with her in his own silent way. Yet, no matter how hard he suppressed himself from thinking about Ximena, he still managed to finish his thinking. 'She has no relationship with me anymore. Why seek trouble for me and at the same time, also increase her sadness?'

James felt his head throbbed with pain as he was lost in deep thoughts about Ximena, Aaron and him.

Then his pondering, however, was interrupted when he felt his shoulder was patted by someone. He came back to his senses and found that Aaron had left. Looking sideways, he saw his father Aldrich. Seeing the full of worried expression on his son's face, Aldrich sighed slightly and said gently, "He will take care of her..."

Not knowing what to respond, James laughed at himself and said, "I know that."

Aldrich sighed again, patted James on the shoulder and left the hospital on a crutch.

Seeing James who was sitting there silently, Ted felt helpless. He pouted his lips and said in a complaining tone, "Well, brother, there's nothing you can do now. I think we should go now?" Without waiting for James' response, he stood up and pushed the wheelchair where James was sitting on towards the elevator.

At the moment while they were waiting for the elevator door to open up, James lowered his eyes, sighed gently and slowly said, "When Dad gave me the phone to hear the news about the accident, in fact... I should not come here at this moment."

"Well, I am glad you know that," Ted murmured, pouting his lips. "I really wanted to give Aaron two punches straight in the face just now." Upon the thought of Aaron's cold face that would refuse anyone that wanted to stay close to him, Ted was so pissed off that he let out a long breath which blew up his hair. "If I didn't see his miserable face at that time..."

"Teddy," James stopped Ted's angry words, shook his head gently.

Then with a little laughing mockery, he asked Ted, "There's still no way to let go of that thing yet?" "What are you talking about?" Ted asked, thrilled while his expression turned awkward.

As James had revealed what was hidden in his heart, he now felt embarrassed and acted weirdly. "If you could let it go, why do you keep thinking about it?"

Unusually, James teased Ted, which was rare for him being a serious man as he was.

Slowly getting James' point, Ted pouted his lips and grimaced stealthily. He looked at James and murmured, "If I had known it was him, I would have never wanted him to save me at that time."

James shook his head helplessly, smiled and said jokingly, "Maybe, if he knew you're a child of the Leng Family, for sure he wouldn't save you..." "You..."

Quite annoyed with his brother, Ted spat out a word, but somehow managed to swallow the rest of his words and stopped talking abruptly. In due time, the elevator door opened. Then, he pushed James out and together they left the hospital.

On the way home, Ted was very quiet, so quiet that it was not like his usual behavior at all.

With his hands steady on the steering wheel, Ted drove through the bustling, drizzling night of QY Island, catching a glimpse of the neon lights passing by with a faint sadness. Then with the silhouette of the lights, Ted suddenly recalled a memory on the back of his mind. That year, he and James had just celebrated their eighth birthday in M Country. He sneaked out after he had a small spat with James, but unfortunately, he was caught in the middle of a terrorist attack.

Until now, the scene etched fresh on his mind and he still remembered how close he was to death and how he escaped from it. He met a young boy in his struggle to escape and that boy was the one who saved his life. He only remembered that the boy had a lightning tattoo on his left lower back but didn't know that the boy was Aaron back then. Until one day... Ted had one distinct character that he had, ever since a child, his mother would notice that he was such a keen observer. The moment he saw something, he would remember that even the very tiny details. Growing up, he inadvertently knew that the logo of His Highness was the symbol of the lightning. They believed it stands for extreme power and vast influence. Some even regarded the symbol as the wrath of punishment that they even trembled at the sight of it.

One day, unintentionally, he caught a glimpse of the lightning tattoo on Aaron's left lower back that showed up when he got angry. For so many years, the savior he kept thinking of turned out to be his half-brother. 000
