Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 960 Extra Story 98 Of Aaron Fear

Vivi had not expected that Aaron would tell her to leave as soon as he sat down. Hearing that, she felt very sad and her heart ached. She nearly burst into tears instantly. "Brother..."

Before Zoey could say anything else, Aaron's razor-sharp stare cut her off. It scared her to the bones, and it made her swallow everything she was about to say.

On the other hand, Vivi was trying her best not to talk against what Aaron did. In the end, she said, "Zoey, I'm leaving..." She tried to hide her hurt with a smile, but she just looked like she was in pain.

Zoey could do nothing but nod and see Vivi off with her eyes. After that, she couldn't help but mumble about how she was disrespected.

"What did that man say to Ximena earlier this evening?" Aaron asked straightforwardly, his stare still razor-sharp. There was not the least emotion on his face.

Hearing that, Zoey was stunned for a while. Then she opened her eyes wide and asked, "How did you know that?" Seeing that Aaron was not going to answer her question, sulkily, she said, "I was a little curious, okay? I only wanted to replace some faults in her..." While saying that, she tried to wear a smile, but her face looked stiff and very fake. Finding that Aaron wasn't falling for her act and was waiting for her explanation, she continued, "I heard that man say that he is quite familiar with her parents and that her parents loved her very much. I didn't replace anything important in what he said."

"That's all?" Aaron sneered slightly.

"Hmm," Zoey answered with a nod. However, very soon something came to her mind. Opening her eyes wider, she said, "Wait! it just occurred to me that he gave her something. It seemed that he also gave her a business card or something like that... I can't remember anything else. There was nothing strange, but that man mentioned that he had not been able to approach her probably because you had prevented him from doing so." "Hmm," Aaron replied in a low voice. A glint of anger could be seen in his eyes.

He knew that the members of the organization were best at fighting the psychological battle. They were able to bring others down based on their different mental states. If that man had told Ximena about the death of her parents in a way that was not meant to harm her mentally, perhaps she would not have reacted like this. However, he had told her that her parents had loved her very much. 'That was exactly why she behaved that way after seeing those photos and reports, 'he thought.

Seeing that Zoey was of no help to him anymore, he stood up, saying, "You better go back home as early as possible..." With his cold eyes he stared at Zoey. "It's not good for a girl to stay outside so late at night." Just as he was taking his first step, Zoey called out for him. "Hey! I didn't drive by myself to come here... Aren't you going to give me a ride?" Zoey asked, looking at Aaron's back with her eyes blank. "Brother, brother, brother..." Finding that her brother ignored her thoroughly, she groaned, "What are you doing? You came to meet me, you drove Vivi away, now you won't even give me a ride home?"

After leaving the cafe, Aaron got on his car. Instead of starting it immediately, he stared at the road before him, his eyes full of rage and sadness. He felt like his heart was clutched by something, and that was not allowing him to breath.

He realized that no matter how he would exact his revenge on those people, it would be impossible to change the fact that Ximena had known how her parents had died. As the stress took over him, Aaron slowly leaned on his seat, and closed his eyes. 'How ridiculous! What a contrived plot!' he thought. The person he wanted to start a family with turned out to be his enemy!

With these thoughts running in his mind, a cold smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. He was laughing at himself. His mother had always been his spiritual support. Although she had made a big mistake at that time by giving up herself and sleeping with Zoey's father, he had believed that the reason why she had done that was because she had been too disappointed with Aldrich, his father.

For years, he had told himself to exact revenge on the Leng Family in behalf of his mother. And while planning that, he had told himself that he would not give up on the person he wanted to start a family with once he found her. But what had happened to him? Would it help even if he was not going to give up? He had never felt so exhausted before.

After a long drive, Aaron arrived at the manor. The first thing he did was going to Ximena's bedroom. He opened its door gently, walked in and looked at his love's face in the dim light of the bedside lamp. Even though she was sleeping, she still looked like she was in pain, and was desperate. How could he start a family with her, under such a condition?

After staring at her for a while, Aaron sat down on the floor by the side of the bed, one of his legs bending, while the other extending. His arms drooped casually on the bended leg. He looked ahead blankly with his deep eyes. With a sense of powerlessness, he suddenly felt an overwhelming impulse to kill the people who hurt Ximena.

"Hmm..." a dull whisper came through. Aaron turned his head back, and he saw that Ximena had curled up, once again calling for her parents, "Dad, mom... don't leave Ximena... Please don't... No..."

Her voice indicated her extreme despair, and it was stabbing Aaron's heart fiercely. The pain he felt was so severe that he forgot how to breathe for a while.

The night went by so fast. When the sky was turning bright in the east, Ximena, who had talked now and then in her sleep all the night, was about to wake up.

Sunlight came into the room through the windows, illuminating Aaron, who had been sitting on the floor for a whole night. The beautiful man didn't look tired at all. Instead, he looked lonely, down and out.

When the light reached Ximena, her eyes shot open. Because she had cried so much last night, her eyes became as big as two walnuts. Now she could only see things through small opening her eyes allow her to see through.

Sighing, she surveyed the room she was in and saw the back of Aaron's head. Suddenly, a flurry of emotions took over her-despair, anger, hopelessness.

'How ridiculous!' she thought to herself, feeling the pain once again. When she understood what James meant by saying "family" to her, when she was determined to try her best to start a family together with Aaron, when she felt that she finally was able to grasp her happiness and that she could finally achieve peace... God threw her under the bus.

"Ximena..." Aaron's voice came through all of a sudden. He knew she had waken up though he didn't turn his head back to look at her. "Although it might sound irresponsible of me," he said, lowering his eyes. Emotion was starting to color his angelic face. He continued,"I still want to say that... it had nothing to do with me! But I'm sorry..."

Hearing that, Ximena blinked her eyes slightly. As her eyelids moved, she felt pained and saddened.

"Any action in the past should not affect us at present..." Aaron said, but suddenly, a chuckle escaped his lips. He just realized how restless he was at that moment. That was not like him at all. He had always been proud and arrogant. Everybody in QY Island would keep out of his way once they saw his lightning emblem. How could he feel so insecure like this?

"Do you fear that I would leave?" Ximena asked in a cold voice, all of a sudden.
