Love beyond the mask ( Whitney ) -
Chapter 316
Whitney paused, having anticipated Elaine's arrival. She swiftly grabbed the broom and pushed it outward with all her might.
Elaine, tottering on her sky-high stilettos, instantly lost her balance.
Unexpectedly, Endora, who was behind her, caught Elaine and lifted a bucket of dirty water, hurling it at Whitney. "You homewrecker! How dare you sleep with Elaine's husband? I'll drench you!" Oh, they've gotten smarter now, bringing Endora as backup?
Whitney wasn't fazed. She spun on her heel, deftly dodging the water, and retaliated with a swift sweep of the broom.
The remaining dirty water splashed back, thoroughly soaking the hemlines of both Elaine and Endora's dresses.
"Ah!"
"Ew!"
The pampered ladies reacted as if they had swallowed flies, utterly revolted.
Whitney casually tossed the broom aside and looked at Elaine's twisted face of rage, speaking lazily, "Elaine, your man wore me out all night. Have a heart, will you? I barely have the energy to deal with you now!" Elaine's face turned an angry shade of purple, her fury palpable.
To her, Whitney's words were a deliberate flaunt, a reminder of how she had manipulated circumstances to keep Elaine busy all night.
Elaine exploded, "You shameless woman!"
"Yeah, shameless! Everyone, come see! This woman slept with someone's husband and now she's here, bullying the wife!"
Endora, the nouveau riche, immediately started causing a scene.
Elaine frowned, knowing this was humiliating for her.
But the corridor was now filled with onlookers, whispering and pointing at Whitney.
"Look at those marks on her neck, she's clearly no good."
"The noise last night was unbearable, I live across the hall and heard everything."
"That guy was relentless, kept going until dawn!"
Elaine's jealousy flared, imagining Ludwik with Whitney all night, her heart burning with envy.
Adding fuel to the fire, a janitor joined the commotion, holding a trash can and glaring at Whitney, "Miss, were you the one in this room last night? I understand young people have their needs, but please, ask your husband to consider our feelings. Condoms everywhere... It's a bit much, don't you think?"
Whitney blushed, recalling Ludwik's carelessness from the previous night.
Elaine's fury was now almost uncontrollable, her heart practically exploding with anger.
Endora, equally embarrassed, found herself wondering if Parker could match Ludwik's stamina.
Elaine, catching on to the secret, tried to regain control of the situation.
Whitney, having had enough, used her self-defense skills to push them away.
She dusted off her hands, feeling a sense of relief from the anger that had been festering for the past three years.
"I don't have time for this drama, especially since your beloved Ludwik has promised me a few deals today," Whitney said, flipping her hair, the marks on her neck a painful reminder to Elaine.
Elaine, seething but strategic, held back, realizing she had to play her cards right.
As Whitney walked away, Elaine followed, dropping a malicious hint about fighting over custody of the child, "Whitney, Ludwik won't give up the fight for our son. When I get him, I'll make sure to make your life a living hell." Whitney's expression hardened. She approached Elaine with a chilling look, "I won't let Sammy end up with you, and Ludwik can't take him away either. I advise you to back off, or you'll lose Ludwik for good."
Elaine feigned anger but internally celebrated her advantage, knowing Whitney was unaware of Daniel, another son at stake.
This knowledge gave Elaine a momentary upper hand, planning her next move.
Watching the woman's figure disappear into the elevator, Elaine's thoughts turned dark and stormy.
She hurried back to her own room in the hotel.
Soon after, Ludwik, fresh from a shower, came up to check on his son and stopped by Elaine's room.
He was immediately greeted by the sight of a woman, clothes drenched and face a mess.
Elaine was slumped on the couch by the door, a forlorn figure. She lifted her head and upon seeing him, began to cry weakly, "Ludwik..."
Ludwik felt a twinge of guilt, a faint sense of unease, "Elaine, what happened?"
"Where were you last night, Ludwik?"
"I... Didn't Felix tell you? I was at the hospital," Ludwik avoided her piercing gaze.
Elaine's voice was filled with bitterness as she clenched her fists, managing only a cold, sarcastic laugh before breaking down into sobs, "You're lying to me! Ludwik, when did you become like this? I'm so disappointed, so heartbroken..."
"You... You know?"
The man furrowed his brow, his hands balling into fists.
