Whitney stifled a giggle, trying to move away, but he swiftly spun her around and pressed her against the railing, trapping her with his long arms on either side. She found herself cornered by his commanding presence and the pronounced lines of his collarbone under his shirt, making her uneasy.

Her eyes, shimmering like the ocean, turned cold as she pushed him away. "What are you doing?"

"Take it off."

Whitney, exasperated, stood on tiptoe and pouted as she removed the small piece of clothing.

Once his vision cleared, Ludwik realized just how close he had gotten to her.

So close, it felt as though he had enveloped her in his arms, his chest and arms pressing tightly against her.

A tingling sensation shot through his spine, darkening his gaze.

"Let go of me, you jerk," Whitney pushed against him, clearly annoyed.

She struggled, her movements causing friction against his belt. The incident in the bathroom had already set him off, and his frustration hadn't subsided.

Ludwik's voice was a low warning, "Trying to seduce me again? Have you forgotten I'm a man? Had enough of playing hard to get?"

Whitney froze, quickly realizing the implication.

Her ears turned red as she kicked him away. "How am I seducing you? If I were playing hard to get, it certainly wouldn't be with you. Aren't other men more appealing?" Before she could finish, Whitney suddenly noticed Sammy walking into the living room, the bandage on his throat evident as he removed his mask.

Whitney's eyes widened, and she quickly pulled Ludwik back. "Wait...!"

Her grip was tight, her panic causing her hand to accidentally brush against the front of his shirt.

"Ouch." Maybe it was a sensitive spot, as Ludwik looked down, his gaze darkening.

"Whitney...are you asking for it?" His voice was a low growl, his body tensing.

Whitney, belatedly realizing her action, withdrew her hand as if scorched, her face flushing.

Her heart raced, especially when she saw what was under his shirt, turning even redder. "I, I..."

"It wasn't on purpose?" Ludwik's dark eyes mocked, his voice teasingly sensual. "First below in the bathroom, now above? Still claiming no seduction, huh?"

Whitney was on the verge of tears, glancing sideways to see Sammy hadn't left, and Danny peeking from the bedroom door.

Those two little rascals, she felt like dying.

Ludwik lifted her chin, his breath hot on her face, his gaze slowly filling with desire.

Really, he couldn't help it, nor did he want to.

"Sweetheart, you're the one who gave me the chance..."

His voice was husky, and he leaned in to kiss her.

It started with a brush, then a bite, until she involuntarily opened her mouth, and he delved deeper...

The kiss was fierce, consuming.

Pinning her hands, pressing her against the railing, she couldn't move.

"Mmm...mmm..." Whitney was initially stunned, watching her son, unable to struggle, blank for a few seconds until his tongue entwined with hers...

She abruptly came to her senses, kissed by this man until her heart trembled. It was just a kiss, yet his strength...

It overwhelmed her; he knew her too well, his scent, his technique, his dominance, all etched in her memory.

Her soul might resist, but her body responded to him. Damn, she had lied; he wasn't unskilled.

Instead... Whitney's legs grew weaker, her struggle intense, her blushing face visible even in the night.

"So impatient, huh?" He teased, pressing against her leg, making her unable to stand.

Ludwik chuckled, pulling the hem of her dress.

"No." Whitney was furious.

In the living room, Danny was stunned.

They heard a dispute between their dad and mom. Sammy worriedly came to check and to get some medicine. Danny noticed he wasn't wearing a mask and rushed to deliver it.

But...

"Sammy, what is dad doing? Is he so hungry he's eating mom? How can he do that, people aren't food!"

Danny's expression was stern.

"..." Sammy, already upset by the scene, was about to burst out laughing.

How was Danny raised by their dad, not understanding this??

Rolling his eyes, he muttered, "Dad's bullying mom, it's adults kissing."

Mentioning kissing, Danny understood.

Cherry had drooled while kissing his handsome face.

Liking meant kissing.

Discovering a secret, Danny smirked. "So, dad still likes mom!"

"I don't want him to like her; he's a scoundrel." Watching their mom bent over, about to cry, Sammy immediately put on his mask, ready to rush forward. Danny, sensing an opportunity, quickly stopped his little brother, covering his mouth.

"Mmm." Sammy glared at Danny.

Danny, with a hint of selfishness, pleaded, "Sammy, let mom have dad's baby, okay? I heard kissing leads to babies. Then they'll finally reconcile." ""..." Where did you hear that??

Sammy was clueless about what was going through Danny's mind.

Dad, even failing to raise a son properly!

Slap!

Ludwik's misconduct ended with a slap.

The petite woman's face was flushed, her hand trembling from the impact, her lips slightly swollen, biting down hard as she glared at him.

The man casually wiped the blood from his lip, his hand emerging from his shirt, Whitney quickly buttoning up her dress.

She stormed in.

Ludwik stood there, lighting a cigarette, taking a deep drag to calm his heated body.

A few seconds later, his cold gaze landed on Bryce, his tense profile visible from the car.

Ludwik's lips curled slightly, his eyes fierce and cold.

Why the long kiss? Of course, there was a reason.

But as he leisurely returned from the balcony, the bedroom door shut tight, and Whitney stood there, already changed, her face alluring yet her eyes icy with anger, suddenly throwing a piece of paper at Ludwik's detestable face. Ludwik's eyes still followed her, taking the paper, his expression changing instantly.

Whitney's voice was cold and mocking. "Forgot to mention, the divorce papers, they're ready. Please, my dear ex-husband, keep your hands to yourself from now on!"

Ludwik's lips pressed tightly together, the heat from his body extinguished by the cold splash of reality.

Damn it, he clenched his fist tighter in frustration. "How did this get sorted so quickly? It can't be fake, can it?"

Whitney snorted with derision. "Take your precious divorce papers and get out."

Ludwik was left speechless; the divorce papers were his idea in the first place.

But now, he didn't want them. He even felt an urge to tear them up.

Darkness flickered in Ludwik's eyes, a hint of confusion passing through as he was taken aback. In a flash, he was literally kicked out. Bam-!

Scowling, he was about to demand she hand over Danny when the phone in his pocket started blowing up non-stop.
