Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 260: Getting Drunk
"Agnes Thompson, you've been stealing my toys since I was a kid, doing one thing in front of people and another behind my back. Growing up, even giving you your fiancé and family fortune, why you just won't leave me alone, it makes you happy to see me having a bad time doesn't it?!"
"How many times did you try to shake things up at the party before! And you have the nerve to say it was someone else!"
Eloise Thompson glared venomously and hotly at Agnes Thompson, who was covering her face, and the anger rising inside her was so strong that she wanted to rush up and tear the person apart.
It was because she wouldn't let herself go that she was put in such a bad position.
"You ... bollocks! I'm not!" Agnes Thompson was still wisecracking.
Even if she did do it, she would have to deny it in front of her father, not to mention that she didn't do it.
Eloise Thompson sneered, "You don't see the coffin, do you?"
With that, she raised her hand again to strike her.
Seeing this, Ela Turner hurriedly stepped in front of her daughter and shouted, "Eloise Thompson, have you lost your mind? You've been biting like a mad dog since you got back, and Agnes says she didn't do it."
"I'm supposed to believe her when she says it's not her?" Eloise Thompson looked at her sarcastically.
"You!" Ela Turner choked for a moment.
"Agnes, is it really what Eloise says it is?" Josh Thompson stared at Agnes Thompson with a grim look on his face.
"Dad ..." Agnes Thompson's eyes were suddenly red with aggression, "Dad, how can even you suspect me? I'm ignorant, but not that ignorant!"
When she finished, she lowered her head and sobbed, looking as if she had suffered a great deal.
Eloise Thompson looked on coldly, with mockery in her eyes.
Yes, since childhood, Agnes Thompson has been so good at playing the aggrieved that every time Josh Thompson believes her and not himself.
"Agnes Thompson, don't pretend, who else would it be but you?"
Ela Turner looked at her husband and saw how hard he looked, and panicked, in case he believed this bitch Eloise Thompson.
So, unable to show any weakness, she yelled at Eloise Thompson, "Do you have proof that Agnes did it? If you don't you don't bleed!"
"I'm bloodthirsty?" Eloise Thompson laughed angrily as she looked at Agnes Thompson and then at Josh Thompson, nodding her head, "Well, you all deny it, don't you? I was stupid enough to trust your family of cannibals back then! You guys just make me sick!"
With those words, she turned and left in anger.
Josh Thompson was upset by her comment and tried to defend himself, but it was too late.
People have left.
A wave of anger blocked the heart and was extremely uncomfortable.
"Just a lunatic! Just a lunatic!" Ela Turner yelled in exasperation.
Josh Thompson narrowed his eyes and his stern gaze went to Agnes Thompson, "It really wasn't you, Agnes."
"Dad, of course it wasn't me, how could I have done something like that?"
"Really?"
At her father's glare, Agnes Thompson averted her eyes a little, "When... of course it's true, Dad, how can you believe your sister? She's never liked me, it's not like you don't know that she ..." "That's enough!" Josh Thompson snapped out of nowhere.
Agnes Thompson was so stunned that she burst into tears the next moment.
When she was little, Josh Thompson would soften her heart whenever she cried.
Josh Thompson was upset to see Agnes Thompson crying when he hadn't done it, and he shouted, "What are you crying about?" When Ela Turner saw that he was really angry, she panicked and said, "Jiang, calm down, if Agnes says it's not her, it's not her.
It's better if she doesn't say it, but this has completely enraged Josh Thompson.
"Shut up!" Josh Thompson glared at them angrily, "If not you, is there anyone else? Are you really, really not going to make things easy for the Thompson family?"
Even though Agnes Thompson tried to weasel her way out of the situation, she chose to keep her mouth shut under her father's anger.
On the other hand, Eloise Thompson was still furious after leaving the Thompson family.
She was truly desperate for that family.
To break a promise for her own selfish reasons, but what could she do but be angry.
Thinking of all those people talking at work, she suddenly didn't know how to deal with it all.
It feels like the sky is falling.
She did not regret what happened back then.
But it's still a hurdle in the heart, especially with that child.
She owed him so much.
She tilted her head back and pursed her lips, forcing back her tears.
On a working day, there are not many people on the streets and Eloise Thompson walks aimlessly alone, not knowing where she is supposed to go or what she is supposed to do. It was getting dark and the streets were getting crowded.
She walked past a bar, and suddenly, her feet hit the floor.
Turn your head and the flashing lights of the bar sign fall into view.
Lifting her feet again, she walked into the bar, walked straight to the bar and sat down, "Give me a drink."
The bartender gave her a look and poured a glass of wine and put it in front of her.
She picked it up and poured it straight into her mouth.
"Cough cough!"
Drinking too fast and choking!
She coughed violently and the tears she had been holding back all afternoon finally broke out.
Why bully her with even a glass of wine?
She clenched her fist to her mouth and bit down hard to stop herself from crying out.
All the aggression and heartache seemed to come up in full force at this moment.
"Miss, are you all right?"
The bartender's concerned voice rings in your ears.
She came to her senses abruptly and hurriedly wiped her tears away, looking up at the bartender and pulling out a small smile, "Another glass of wine, please." Everyone who comes to the bar for a drink has a story to tell, and the bartender didn't ask much, just silently handed her a tissue and re-poured her a drink. "Thanks."
Eloise Thompson took a sip from her wine, the cold liquid flowing down her throat, across her chest and into her stomach.
She was alone, drinking quietly, and all the bustle around her was of no concern to her.
Time passed and suddenly, a familiar voice with a touch of surprise rang out.
"Eloise."
Eloise Thompson turned her head to see Egbert Chumley looking at her with a soft, light smile.
"Alumni."
Egbert Chumley sat down beside her, "I never thought I'd meet you here."
Eloise Thompson smiled lightly, "Yeah, it's a coincidence."
Egbert Chumley asked for a drink, then turned his head to look at her, smiled and asked, "Not busy today? How come you have time to come out?" "Not busy."
In response, Eloise Thompson lifted her wine and sipped it lightly.
Egbert Chumley, an attentive man, was keenly aware that she was not in the right mood and asked with concern, "Is something wrong?"
The man's voice was soft and full of concern.
Eloise Thompson can't help but think of Rupert Rogers and her own troubled past, and her heart sinks and her eyes well up.
She hurriedly took a deep breath to hold back her tears, then curled her lips, "I'm fine."
