Love Comes To Me
Chapter 286: It's Not Your Fault

Without this kidnapping of Solomon, perhaps she would not have returned to City J and they would not have been reunited. She didn't know how to face him either.

Eloise Thompson can't help but smile at the thought that this is perhaps what is meant by fate.

Having learned from the past, I'm afraid it will be difficult for her to leave again.

There was a lot to ask her, but in the end Hector Rogers kept his mouth shut.

As long as she's back, nothing really matters anymore.

"I'll get the doctor to come over." Hector Rogers said.

Eloise Thompson nodded, "Good."

Watch him walk out before Eloise Thompson scrunches up her little face, it hurts!

Looking back on the dangerous situation now, she can't help but recoil in fear.

I don't know whether I should be glad that the other side didn't aim, or that I was lucky to be alive. A bullet grazed my arm, and although it hurt, it was only a flesh wound.

The other bullet entered her shoulder. She was in a hurry to escape and didn't feel the pain, but now when she moves her body a little, it hurts so much that tears are coming out of her eyes. In fact, it is more fortunate that Solomon is safe and sound.

If something happened to Solomon, she would never forgive herself for the rest of her life.

Just as she was thinking about Solomon, a surprised voice came.

"Mummy!"

She hurriedly turned her head, only to see a small figure running towards her.

It's Solomon.

He was about to lunge when Rupert Rogers, who was following him, was quick to pick him up by the collar.

"Be careful! Your mummy's hurt!"

Rupert Rogers' tone was a little stern.

Solomon was instantly upset and the smile was gone from his face, but he knew he was wrong and stood with his mouth agape at a loss for words.

Seeing this, Eloise Thompson lifted her uninjured hand and greeted him, "Solomon, come here."

Solomon immediately beamed with joy and ran up to her, his big, clear, deer-like eyes staring straight at her.

It was as if she was afraid that in the blink of an eye she would be gone.

"Solomon's growing taller again." Eloise Thompson stroked his head and smiled gently.

"Mummy, where have you been? Why haven't you been home for so long?"

Looking at Solomon's naive innocence, Eloise Thompson was momentarily at a loss for words.

Solomon pouted and said with some resignation, "Daddy and little uncle both said Mommy was away on business, but bad Auntie said Mommy didn't want me and Daddy anymore." Bad Auntie?

Eloise Thompson frowned, "Which bad aunt?"

Rupert Rogers also asked, "Solomon, what bad aunt said that to you?"

"Auntie Reeva."

Upon hearing this answer, Eloise Thompson and Rupert Rogers looked at each other.

Not a surprise, to be honest.

"That Reeva Lawson is too much, how can she say that kind of thing to a child?" Rupert Rogers huffed.

Eloise Thompson raised an eyebrow, not really bothering to say anything about this Reeva Lawson person.

Knowing that Solomon cares for her, she says things like that to poke Solomon in the heart.

I don't know what else she can do when she can even treat a child like that.

Rupert Rogers thought of something and suddenly let out an "ah".

He stared at Solomon and asked uncertainly, "Solomon, tell little uncle honestly, did you listen to your bad aunt and run out to replace your mommy?" Solomon nodded, "Mmm. I miss Mummy."

He thought that if Mummy had not come home for so long, she really didn't want him anymore and that's why he wanted to go to Mummy.

Eloise Thompson felt a pang of sadness and cursed herself for being so ungrateful as to leave him behind to hide in City S.

Although it was a necessity, she still felt guilty.

"Solomon, I'm sorry, it's all Mummy's fault. If it wasn't for Mummy ..."

Eloise Thompson choked up and couldn't say any more.

Solomon shook his head vigorously, "Mummy, it's not your fault, it's that bad aunt's fault."

"Yes, it's Reeva Lawson's fault." Rupert Rogers chimed in, "Sister-in-law, it's not your fault."

Eloise Thompson shook her head gently, "Either way, Solomon was there to get to me before something happened and I have an unshirkable responsibility." "Sister-in-law..."

"Nothing to do with you."

Hector Rogers walked in and interrupted Rupert Rogers.

Eloise Thompson looked over at him and unexpectedly looked into his deep eyes and her heart fluttered slightly.

Hector Rogers walked over and gazed deeply at her, "I don't want you to blame yourself for this, it's none of your business."

"Hector..."

Eloise Thompson's heart sank and her eyes reddened.

Why was he always so forgiving and gentle with her?

It's really not worth it.

Hector Rogers took her hand in his, then turned to the doctor behind him and said, "Please."

The doctor gave Eloise Thompson a basic examination and checked the wound, then smiled and said to Hector Rogers, "There's nothing wrong with your wife's health ..." Mrs.?

Eloise Thompson's eyes widened and her mouth subconsciously opened to clarify.

At that moment, she felt Hector Rogers squeeze her palm.

She lifted her eyelids, her gaze going to his clear jaw, her fine brows furrowing slightly, was he... telling her she didn't have to deny it?

The doctor was still saying, "Don't touch the wound or the water, and take care of your rest and nutrition."

The doctor finished his explanation and went out.

Rupert Rogers also found an excuse to leave, he didn't want to stay here and be a light bulb.

The intention was to take Solomon with him, but Solomon did not want to, so he left alone.

Hector Rogers swung the hospital bed up so that she could sit against it.

"Hungry?" Hector Rogers asked.

"Hmm."

Having eaten a single grain of rice since yesterday, she was already hungry.

"Solomon, you stay with Mummy while Daddy goes to get dinner."

Solomon agreed in one breath, "Yes."

As soon as Hector Rogers was out, Eloise Thompson greeted Solomon and sat next to her, then put her arm around him and asked him about the events of the past two months. Reeva Lawson walked into the ward to see Solomon leaning intimately into Eloise Thompson's arms and a flash of cynicism crossed her eyes.

She really doesn't understand why Solomon likes Eloise Thompson so much.

But it's okay, soon Solomon will recognise Eloise Thompson for what he is.

She took a deep breath and raised her voice, "Miss Eloise is in good spirits."

At the sound of their voices, Eloise Thompson and Solomon both looked up.

The smiles on Eloise Thompson and Solomon's faces instantly narrowed at the sight of it being her. "Miss Reeva."

Eloise Thompson's nonchalant attitude irritated Reeva Lawson and she almost lost her temper on the spot.

But she held back, maintaining a faint smile on her face, "I heard you were hurt, so I came over to take a look."

Then she looked around and asked, "Where do I put this flower?"

Eloise Thompson looked at the flowers she was holding and although she knew she didn't really mean to come and see her, she had to say they were quite pretty. "You can just leave it as you like."

Reeva Lawson put the flowers down and then asked again, "Is Miss Eloise all right?"

"It's fine. Thanks for asking."

"Solomon's here too."

Reeva Lawson smiled softly at Solomon, who gave her a soft nasal 'hum' before turning her head away and ignoring her.

The smile froze instantly.

Eloise Thompson wanted to laugh and she hurriedly coughed softly, "Miss Reeva, don't mind me, Solomon is still young and doesn't know any better."

She sounded like she was talking about her own child, and where was the tone of apology!

Reeva Lawson was furious, but couldn't show it, so she could only say with a leathery smile, "Oh, I wouldn't mind."
