Love Comes To Me
Chapter 288: I can't believe she's staying with the Rogers family

Eloise Thompson has been in hospital for over a week and has almost recovered from her injuries and has put on a lot of weight.

Hector Rogers says it gives him peace of mind to see her put on some weight.

Couldn't understand what he was thinking.

But none of them mentioned that she had left without saying goodbye, as if she had never left.

Eloise Thompson wanted to say it a couple of times, but the words just didn't come out.

This talk is bound to bring up the past, which she really has no shame in mentioning.

The comfort had lasted too long and she was really afraid of losing it again.

Solely, she left it at that.

During her stay in hospital, she was called by the company over in City S. She resigned in the process and couldn't leave this time when she returned anyway. Egbert Chumley also contacted her.

"Eloise, you get well in peace, and I'll have someone at your mother's place take extra care of you."

He always thinks of things so thoughtfully.

Without his help, I'm afraid she'd be in a bad way right now.

Eloise Thompson thought about it and said, "Alumni, replace a nice girl to take care of you."

At these words, silence fell on the other end of the phone.

Eloise Thompson pursed her lips and didn't make a sound either.

She knew it was cruel for such words to come out of her mouth, but she really didn't want to delay his feelings.

It was a long time before Egbert Chumley said, "Okay, I get it."

After hanging up the phone, Eloise Thompson was inexplicably a little depressed.

Turning her head to look out of the window, the sky was blue and the sun was shining, she slowly curled her lips, hoping that everything would slowly get better. On the day of his discharge from hospital, Hector's father, Kam's mother, also came.

Eloise Thompson was pleasantly surprised to see them.

Then it occurred to him that he was still lying in bed and hurriedly tried to sit up.

"Lie down." Hector's mother spoke up to stop her.

"Thank you Auntie."

"Your aunt and I have wanted to come and see you for a long time, but we couldn't replace the right time and put it off until today, so I hope you don't blame us." Hector's father looked at her with a gentle brow.

Hector Rogers looks like his father and Rupert Rogers looks like his mother.

So whenever she saw Hector's father, she always felt particularly close to him.

It's not that Hector's mother is bad, it's just that she knows full well that she doesn't like her, so it's hard not to be afraid.

Eloise Thompson raised her lips in a smile and shook her head, "Uncle, how could I blame you guys? I'm really happy that you guys came to see me."

"That's good." Hector's father grinned.

Compared to him, Hector's mother looked a little uncomfortable and embarrassed.

Still, she said, "Miss Eloise, thank you for saving Solomon."

"Auntie, you don't have to be so polite. It was only right that I save Solomon."

Eloise Thompson thought of something and added, "I heard Hector say that my auntie had all the various soups prepared by her during my stay in hospital and they were very good. Thank you so much Auntie really." Hector's mother knows in her heart that she is a good girl, but it is her family background and past that makes her unlikable.

But after this incident, she has figured it out.

To be able to come from a family like that without having her personality twisted and to be so dutiful to her mother, and also to hear Rupert say that it was to save her mother back then that she went to work for someone as a surrogate. It was a poor child, to say the least.

With that in mind, Hector's mother broke into a smile and said softly, "As long as you like it."

She looked around and asked, "How is the wound recovering? Was it the doctor who said you could leave the hospital?"

A little flattered by Hector's mother's concern, Eloise Thompson replied, "I'm almost back on my feet. The doctor said I can leave the hospital and just rest at home."

Hector's mother nodded, "Then I'll send my aunt over to look after you."

Eloise Thompson was about to say no when a low voice rang out, "No need. I have an aunt over there too."

It's Hector Rogers.

"Your side?" Hector's mother frowned, "Do you want her to stay at your place?"

"Hmm."

"That's not right."

Although there has been a change of heart towards Eloise Thompson, this does not mean that she has accepted her.

"What's wrong with that?" Hector Rogers knew what was on his mother's mind and said bluntly, "She is my future wife and it is only right that she should live at my place." At that, Hector's mother's brow furrowed even more, "You ..."

"Stop it." Hector's father pulled her back and whispered in her ear, "Stop talking about that, your children and grandchildren will have their own way, let them be." "But..." Hectorâ€TMs mother still couldnâ€TMt take it.

Seeing this, Eloise Thompson cautiously suggested, "Why don't I just go back to my own house?"

Hector Rogers looked at her expressionlessly, his thin lips parted, "Didn't you already surrender the lease?"

Right Oh.

Eloise Thompson then remembered as an afterthought that she had surrendered her house and now she had no place to stay in City J at all.

So what to do?

She was in a difficult position.

It's not that easy to replace a temporary home.

But staying at his house would not please his mother.

Just when she didn't know what to do, Hector's father spoke up and said, "Well, let's stay with us, so we can feel better."

Stay with the Rogers family?

Eloise Thompson subconsciously shook her head, "No, auntie and uncle, I can stay at my friend's."

"Egbert Chumley?" Hector Rogers asked.

"Huh?" Eloise Thompson didn't react.

How could he possibly let her live in another man's house.

So he promised Hector's father straight away, "Yes, let her live at home."

"What?" Eloise Thompson was anxious, "How can you say yes for me?"

Hector Rogers stroked her head, "Good girl, do as you're told!"

Eloise Thompson was in tears, did he think she was a child? Is that what he's doing to her?

"It's best so that I can look after Miss Eloise," said Hector's mother, pleased with the arrangement.

Thus, Eloise Thompson was admitted to the Rogers family before her injury was fully healed.

Reeva Lawson was so angry at the news that she smashed her phone, scaring Reeva's father and Reeva's mother.

"Outrageous, she's staying with the Rogers family!"

The original beautiful and delicate face looked a little grim because of the anger that had tainted it.

Seeing this, Reeva's father scolded in exasperation, "Look what you've become! Are you still the gentle and sensible daughter I was?"

Reeva Lawson did not make a sound.

Reeva's father took a deep breath and continued, "Reeva, Hector Rogers, just give up, is he the only man in the world?"

He really didn't want his daughter to become a disgrace for a man.

"Yes, there are many men under the sun, but there is only one Hector Rogers!" Reeva Lawson retorted back defiantly.

"You... are you really going to piss me off?"

Reeva's father's chest rose and fell violently out of sheer anger.

"All right, all right, let's cut the crap." Reeva's mother hurriedly intervened, "Anyway, the Rogers family is wrong to do this. Matriarch Godbold said that Reeva was her favourite daughter-in-law, but now she's letting that little girl, Jiang, live in her home.

"You shut up!" Reeva's father glared at her, "Are you trying to make your daughter more horrible by fanning the flames instead of advising her?"
