Love Comes To Me
Chapter 311: You must help me

As soon as Eloise's accident occurred, Rupert called the police and also put pressure on them to make sure they caught the culprit as soon as possible.

However, with a number of police officers deployed to make arrests, nothing was found.

This infuriated both the police and Rupert!

"Brother, City J is so big, we've searched and searched, we've almost torn up the ground, but we haven't found him. Do you think he knows some kind of stealth or vanishment technique?" Because he couldn't replace anyone, Rupert couldn't help but complain in front of Hector.

Eloise, who was listening, couldn't hold back her laughter for a moment.

Rupert was instantly offended and turned his head, "Sister-in-law, I'm not making a joke!"

Seeing that he was really annoyed, Eloise hurriedly curbed her smile and said soothingly, "Actually, you don't have to be so anxious, you'll always replace it if you take your time."

"Take your time looking?" Rupert frowned, then pointed at her and said to Hector, "Brother, did you hear me, my sister-in-law wants me to take my time looking."

Hector looked askance at Eloise and raised his eyes, clear and cold, to him and asked, "Do you listen to me or to her?"

"Whatever you say." Rupert skimmed his lips.

He's been so tortured by this for the past few days that he's going bald, and he'll be really bald if he can't replace anyone else.

Hector withdrew his eyes and calmly analysed, "The man is still at City J, probably hiding somewhere. He'll turn up again." "Show up? Is it possible?"

As far as Rupert was concerned, since he had already committed two crimes in a row, he would have had to flee as far away as possible.

"He'll go after Eloise, but just to avenge his captured associates. It didn't work last time, so he's sure to come back."

With that said, Hector's scowl sank, and this time he would never let Eloise get the slightest bit more harmed.

"Then I'll send a few more men to protect my sister-in-law." Rupert said.

Eloise frowned and said hesitantly, "Should... it not be that serious?"

It feels like she's becoming a protected animal. Will she be followed by bodyguards from now on as long as no one is caught?

Rupert turned his head to look at her, "Sister-in-law, whether it's that serious or not, it's always good to be cautious."

Eloise nodded, that was true.

What she experienced that day she really didn't want to do it again.

"Mummy!"

Just then, a small figure lunged towards Eloise.

But before he could touch Eloise, Hector grabbed her by the collar, lifted her up and set her down a centimetre or two from the bed.

As soon as it was put down, Solomon was about to pounce on it again.

Hector could only grab him and sternly reprimanded, "Ken Solomon!"

Solomon's eyes were suddenly red and the next moment, he burst into tears with a cry.

"I just want to hug mummy."

He sobbed very aggressively.

"Hector, you..."

Eloise gave Hector a somewhat disgruntled glare before waving at Solomon, "Solomon, come here."

Solomon lifted his foot to go over, but thinking of what Daddy had just done, his looked timidly at Hector.

Hector nodded his head.

He was just afraid he would crush Eloise.

With his approval, Solomon dared to walk over to him.

Eloise wiped the tears from his face and smiled as she coaxed, "Solomon, don't cry anymore. When Mummy is well, you can hold him as much as you want, okay?" "Mmm." Solomon nodded good-naturedly.

"Solomon is so good." Eloise stroked his head tenderly.

Afterwards, Hector left with Rupert, while Solomon stayed behind because he wanted to stay with his mummy.

With Solomon by her side, Eloise is not bored and the ward occasionally resounds with pleasant laughter.

...

Meanwhile, somewhere in the old neighbourhood of City J, Reeva parked her car under a building.

She opened the door and got out of the car, looking up at the old, mossy viewing room, disgust written all over her face depicting delicate make-up.

If the man hadn't asked her to come over, she wouldn't have wanted to come to a place like this.

With the narrow staircase for only one person, the drab walls and the dim light, Reeva's heart can't help but feel a little jittery.

Walking to the third floor, she knocked on the door to her left.

A short while later, the door opened, but only a crack, revealing the face of a man.

The man took one look at her before opening the door and letting her in.

The old house smells of decay and with the wretched rubbish all over the house there is hardly any place to land.

Reeva raised her hand to cover her mouth and nose, her brow furrowed with disgust.

Kicking the trash away from her feet and standing up before Reeva turned her head to look at the man, "Say, what did you want with me?"

"What's going on out there?" The man asked.

"What else could happen, the police have been looking for you."

At that, the man frowned, "No, I can't stay in City J any longer, you have to help me get out of here."

Reeva raised an eyebrow, "You want to leave, no problem. But you have to be able to leave, too."

"What do you mean?" The man looked at her warily.

"Both the Rogers family and the police have placed people at various stations and airports, not to mention the fact that you're wanted online, it's not that easy to leave." The man panicked, "What then? I don't want to go to jail."

Reeva gave him a disgusted look and snorted, "Are you still a man? As for panicking like that?"

"What did you say?" The man was angered by the disdain in her tone and glared at her viciously, "You best watch your mouth, I'm a wanted man anyway, I'm not afraid of committing any more crimes." Reeva knew that a man like him could do anything in a fit of rage.

For the sake of her own life, she spoke carefully.

"Don't worry, big brother, I'll replace a way to help you get out of City J."

"I'm telling you, if I don't leave City J by then and I get caught, you're not going to get off well either, okay?"

"Got it."

Reeva's eyebrows lowered, hiding a flash of gloom under her eyes.

Even if the man didn't as well as threaten her, she knew very well that she wouldn't be able to escape once he was caught.

money, so for her own good, she must replace a way to send the man away.

Just what exactly should she do to avoid the eyes of the police and the Rogers family and send him away?

When she didn't know what she was thinking and didn't say anything, the man said, "You'd better not play any tricks on me, or I'll never let you off the hook."

Reeva raised her eyes to his and, with a pleasing smile piled on her face, said, "Why? You're overthinking it, big brother."

The man stared at her for a moment before he said, "The money you promised to give me, remember."

"Keep in mind. I'll withdraw the cash to you."

The man then nodded in satisfaction, "Okay, for being so sincere, is there anything else you need me to do for you?" "No need for that, just stay well."

It was not the right time for him to go out, and when he did, he was shooting himself in the foot.

Reeva saw that there was nothing else to do and left first.
