Love Comes To Me
Chapter 316: He really does still have Eloise in his heart

"Busy?"

Agnes snorted, "I think he just doesn't want to see me at all."

She finished in a huff and Ela was about to talk her down when Robbie walked in.

He heard what Agnes said, so he didn't look very good, but said patiently, "I've come to see you, haven't I?"

"Hmph!"

Agnes threw him a cold face.

"Robbie, there you are."

Ela greeted her warmly.

"Auntie." Robbie smiled at her.

"As you know Agnes has just lost her baby and is rather bad-tempered, so don't take it personally."

"I know."

He didn't come to the hospital for the past few days and thought a lot about it alone.

After the loss of the baby this time, he realised that Agnes had such a bad personality; she had always been gentle and soft before.

But now, at every turn, she loses her temper and blames Eloise for everything that is wrong.

In the end, it was his nostalgia for the old days with Eloise.

Robbie sighed darkly, there was no going back with nostalgia.

He paced over to Agnes and raised a hand to rest on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" Agnes dodged his hand, her face tilted the other way just not looking at him.

"Agnes, don't be angry, okay?"

Robbie coaxed softly.

"I'm not angry, I'm chilled." Agnes turned her head to glare at him and jabbed her finger at his chest, "Think about it, how long has it been since you've been in the hospital? Even if we're not married, don't you forget whose baby it is." "I was wrong." Robbie grabbed her hand and smiled gently, "I'm really busy with work. But when I'm done, I'll be able to spend all my time with you later."

Agnes grunted heavily through her nose, "Your word, I don't believe it anymore."

"Well, Agnes, people Robbie said that, so don't be angry." Ela spoke up to persuade.

"Agnes," Robbie called out tentatively.

Agnes then skimmed her lips and said, "You said yourself oh, you'll be there for me from now on."

Robbie smiled softly, "Hmm."

"Then I'll trust you for now."

Agnes snuggled into his arms, a smug smile curling the corners of her mouth.

She is confident that she holds a very important place in Robbie's heart.

Relieved to see that they had made up, Ela then turned and walked out, intending to leave them space.

But before she could walk out, two policemen walked in.

"Which one of you is Agnes?" one of the policemen asked, speaking up.

At the sound, Agnes and Robbie hurriedly separated and turned their heads to look over.

"Comrade police, is this what's going on?" Ela asked with a nervous look.

"Agnes is suspected of being connected to an offence of wounding with intent."

"How is that possible?"

Ela was a little excited.

She glanced back at Agnes and a bad feeling grew in her heart.

"Comrade policemen, please set the record straight." Robbie came over and looked seriously at the two policemen.

And Agnes clutched the sheet beneath her, keeping her face composed, not wanting to show a hint of panic.

In fact, she knew in her heart who the police were here for.

She just didn't expect it to come so soon.

"One of the suspects we caught confessed that Agnes directed him to commit an act of violence against Miss Eloise, which resulted in Miss Eloise suffering an injury and miscarriage." Robbie was shocked and turned his head to look at Agnes in disbelief.

"I didn't!" Agnes argued, "I had a miscarriage myself and have been in hospital and haven't had any contact with anyone else at all."

Then she said to Robbie, sounding a little flustered, "Robbie, you have to believe me, I definitely didn't do anything like that!" "Yes, comrade police, did you hear wrong." Ela was also anxious.

"I heard it with my own ears, so how could it be wrong."

Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out.

Several people in the ward looked for the sound of voices, only to see Hector and Eloise walking in side by side.

"Eloise," Robbie called out subconsciously at the sight of Eloise.

Agnes heard it and her face twisted in anger, he really did have Eloise in mind!

"What are you doing here?" Ela glared at them with a scowl.

Eloise curled her lips and said faintly, "I'm here to identify the suspect."

Ela blushed and yelled, "Get out, all of you, there are no suspects here as you say."

She even wanted to throw the police out.

One of the policemen spoke up and scolded, "You are obstructing our work and we have the right to detain you."

At these words, Ela settled down and said sarcastically, "We're all good, law-abiding citizens anyway, and you've made a trip for nothing."

The policeman didn't bother with her and walked straight up to Agnes and asked, "Agnes, do you know Lynn?"

"Don't know."

"Agnes, you must answer truthfully, do you know Lynn or not?" the policeman's tone became harsher.

Agnes got a little impatient, "If I say I don't know, I don't know."

The two policemen looked at each other and then continued, "Did you instruct Lynn, to commit an act of violence against Miss Eloise?"

"I've said I don't know Lynn, how else am I supposed to instruct him?" ? Agnes snorted, "Comrade police, you didn't take a bribe from some people and set me up on purpose, did you?" "Agnes, please show some respect!" The policeman snapped.

"Agnes, how can you talk to your comrade policeman like that?" Robbie hurried over and said to the police with a smile, "You are all too kind, don't take it personally with her." That didn't go down well with Agnes, "Robbie, how do you talk?"

"You keep your mouth shut!" Robbie scolded in a low voice, "If you don't want to get caught, be quiet!"

"You!" Agnes was too angry to speak.

Just now he was so gentle and said he would be with her every day, but now he is like a different person, so mean to her.

It's all because Eloise is here that he's changed.

Yes, it's because of Eloise.

She looked up and glared at Eloise with resentment.

Eloise just gave her a faint sweeping glance, not putting her down.

"Comrade police, are you sure that that Lynn is telling the truth?" Robbie asked.

Whatever was really going on, he first had to protect Agnes from being taken away by the police.

Before the policeman could reply, Hector spoke up.

"Robbie, and how do you prove that Agnes is telling the truth?"

Robbie laughed, "Mr Hector, do you have to bargain with me like that?"

"It's not a bar, it's a genuine question for you."

Hector looked at him, his handsome face so calm that not a single expression rose or fell.

"Ask me sincerely?" Robbie let out a low chuckle, then blushed, "Mr Hector, aren't you being unfair to Agnes by assuming it was Agnes as soon as you arrived?" Hector raised his eyebrows ever so slightly, "What are you trying to say?"

"Let Agnes confront that suspect back in the day."
