Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 325: She'll confess her guilt
Reeva has refused to plead guilty.
"Why has it come to this and she still won't admit her guilt?"
Eloise couldn't understand what Reeva was really thinking.
Now Lynn has told us everything, and the police have confirmed that she did cause it, but she just won't admit it.
"You'll have to ask my brother about that." Rupert shoved grapes into his mouth as he looked over at Hector, who was standing by the window. "What do you mean?" Eloise didn't understand.
Rupert swallowed the grapes in his mouth before saying slowly, "Reeva won't confess as long as the Lawson Group isn't back to normal." So that's what it's all about.
Eloise thought about it for a moment, then spoke up and asked, "Hector, so what are you going to do?"
At his words, Hector turned his head, his handsome face calm and unruffled, and returned indifferently, "She'll confess."
She will?
Is he that sure?
Or is he going to let the Lawson Group off the hook?
Eloise was full of questions and wanted to ask them, but before she could speak, he then asked, "Do you want to be discharged?"
The subject changed so quickly that Eloise was stunned for a few seconds, then reacted and asked, with some excitement, "Can I be discharged?" "Hmm."
"That's great! I want to get out of the hospital. Otherwise I'll get mouldy if I stay any longer."
The thought of being discharged from hospital makes Eloise's eyes squint.
"Sister-in-law can be discharged, what about me?" Rupert commiserated, he didn't want to be alone in the hospital, how boring it was. "You stay a little longer."
"No!" Rupert wailed out, "I want to get out too, I don't want to stay here anymore."
"Really?" Eloise looked at him suspiciously, "Do you give up on those nurses here? Don't you have a good time talking to people every day?"
Rupert skimmed his lips and said sardonically, "That's a pastime."
"A pastime? I don't think so, maybe I'll be able to bring back a daughter-in-law for my aunt the day I get out of hospital." Eloise teased him with a smile. Daughter-in-law?
There was a quick flash of something in Rupert's eyes and he whispered a small coo, "I like someone else's daughter-in-law already, I'm not looking at the ones here." "What did you say?" Eloise didn't hear him clearly.
"Nothing."
Rupert turned his head to his brother, "Brother, you take your sister-in-law and pack your bags. I'll just stay by myself."
"Are you sure you can?" Hector looked at him a little skeptically.
"I could have called the nurse to help."
"Then call me if you need anything."
Hector leaves with Eloise, leaving Rupert alone in the ward, and it is instantly quiet.
He looked around, a hint of despondency passing through his features and a self-deprecating smile curling the corners of his lips. "Mr Hector."
Suddenly, a crisp voice came from the doorway.
Rupert turned his head and it was the little nurse from before who was unskilled in sticking needles.
It's called... What's it called?
He tried to recall the other man's name, and when she came to the bed, it came back just in time, "You're Aisly."
When she saw that he remembered her, Aisly arched her eyebrows and said, somewhat flattered, "So you still remember me."
"I have a good memory." Rupert boasted, then asked, "You're not here to stick me with a needle again, are you?"
Then he put on a scared look, "Can I get someone else?"
"Mr Hector!" said Aisly, flushing with shame, "Can we not talk about that?"
She is doll-faced, very fair-skinned and looks very lovely, now red-faced like a ripe, round red apple.
It felt as if something had brushed past my heart.
But Rupert didn't care, laughed a few times, and said, "Well, I won't mention it. So what are you here for?"
"Come to see you." Aisly looked over at his leg, then asked with concern, "How have you been these past few days?"
"Well ... it's fine except for some itching."
"It's itchy, and you have to put up with it."
The corner of Rupert's mouth twitched, "Are you talking nonsense?"
Aisly blinked her wide eyes and stared at him with a clear gaze, "I was right, it does take a lot of patience."
Rupert took a big deep breath, then curled his lips, "Thank you for coming to see me, I'm glad."
"I'm glad you're happy, I'll come and see you more often in the future."
Rupert: "..."
Why does talking to her feel like a chicken-and-egg conversation?
...
Eloise thought she was going back to Hector's own home when she was discharged, but instead he sent her back to the Rogers family. "Why did you send me back here?" Eloise looked out at the villa, her thin eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"You need someone to take care of you." Hector turned his head and gazed deeply at her.
"You have someone to look after me there too, so don't bother your auntie."
The implication is that she does not want to come here.
I hope he understands what she means.
Hector was silent, for a long time, before he spoke, "Eloise."
"Hmm."
"My parents are not a flood of animals, you don't have to be afraid of them."
"I know, but..."
She just wasn't used to it and wasn't comfortable with it.
He saw what she was thinking and the corners of his mouth tugged lightly, "We'll get married and we'll be coming back to stay a lot, so you'll have to get used to it."
It would be pretentious to say anything else.
So she nodded and said, "I know Ree, I'll try to adapt and get used to it."
Hector raised an eyebrow, "Not reluctantly?"
"Not reluctantly." She shrugged her shoulders, "Who made me choose you?"
Hector couldn't help but laugh, "Why do you feel like you're aggravated?"
"It's a bit, so you're going to be nice to me, okay?" Eloise glared at him menacingly.
"If I'm not good to you, who am I good to?" Hector stroked her head dotingly. Eloise raised her chin arrogantly, "That's more like it."
...
The housekeepers and servants were familiar with her and greeted her warmly when they saw her.
Hector's mother was also very welcoming, and as soon as she saw her, she took her hand and sat down in the living room, then ordered the housekeeper to bring the luggage to Hector's room.
Eloise's eyes widened in surprise at this, and she hurriedly called out to the housekeeper, who was about to go upstairs with her bags, and then said to Hector's mother, "Auntie, I'll take the same room I had last time." "How is this going to work?" Hector's mother gave her a sour look, "You and Hector are going to get married sooner or later, it's okay to share a room."
Although what was supposed to happen between her and Hector happened, it didn't seem... good to live in the same room in such a dignified manner.
Not wanting Hector's mother to think she was too casual, she politely declined, "Auntie, I have to go to bed early now and Hector is coming home later, so it's better to sleep separately."
"And yes, you need to get some rest now that you're not recovered." Hector's mother thought better of it and asked the housekeeper to take the luggage to the room where she had last stayed. Eloise breathed a secret sigh of relief.
