Love Comes To Me
Chapter 349: Like you're saving your breath

With Solomon's assistance, Aisly could no longer refuse.

Hector's mother, who had nothing to say, went to the restaurant with the others.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Rupert sat down next to Aisly and handed her the menu straight away, which Aisly waved her hand at.

She was already intrusive enough, and to ask her to order a meal at this point would be a real shame.

Eloise couldn't help but snicker at their interaction, it seemed like they were really on to something, so Eloise took over the menu so as not to embarrass Aisly.

At meal times, Aisly was very formal and couldn't let go, which Eloise was able to understand and so always looked after her.

Rupert, on the other hand, was sitting there with the look of a big brother, hanging back.

Eloise and Aisly got to know each other a lot better after the small talk and thinking about what happened in the jade bracelet shop today, Eloise asked, "Aisly are you buying a jade bracelet as a gift?" Aisly nodded, "My mother's birthday is coming up, so I thought of this jade bracelet as a birthday present for her."

Eloise smiled at that and said, "You're very dutiful then."

"My mum and I have always been dependent on each other, I didn't have much before, but now I can afford it, so I do what I can for her." Aisly's eyes lowered a little as she said this.

Hearing her words, Hector's mother spoke up from the sidelines and asked, "Where is your father?"

Speaking of her father, Aisly looked a little sad and her voice choked up, "Dad died of illness when I was very young, so Mum suffered a lot with me."

Hector's mother was not expecting to be asked about her sadness at once and was a little embarrassed.

Seeing Aisly with tears in the corner of her eyes, Rupert handed her a tissue from the table and said, "It's all in the past, what's there to talk about, let's eat before it gets cold." Aisly looked at Rupert with a little gratitude and stopped talking.

"Miss Aisly, you mustn't be polite, seeing as you are so thin, you still need to eat more."

Hector's mother's attitude is much better when she learns of Aisly's origins.

Aisly sniffed, "I know Aunty, you don't have to be so polite, just call me Aisly, I really can't afford to call me Miss Aisly."

Hector's mother smiled and nodded.

During the meal, Aisly was very fond of Solomon, occasionally giving him his side of the dish and picking up some prawns to put in Solomon's bowl.

Solomon was also very respectful and ate all the food that Aisly had served, saying as he ate, "Pretty sister, do you have a boyfriend, Solomon likes you a lot."

Solomon's words were met with a glare from Rupert, who took his chopsticks and smacked Solomon on the head, "You little brat, what do you know about liking at a young age, and besides you're supposed to call her pretty aunt, not sister." Solomon ate the pain and said unconvincingly, "Pretty Auntie is nice to me and Solomon likes it, besides pretty Auntie and Uncle Junior have nothing to do with each other, it's none of your business if Solomon likes it." Solomon's words amused Aisly and Eloise, who had no idea that Solomon was such a big boy.

Rupert was too disliked to retort and just made a move to hit him again, Solomon hastily hid in Hector's mother's arms and pretended to be aggrieved, "Grandma, little uncle is going to hit me."

Hector's mother sniffed and punched Rupert in the shoulder, hugged Solomon and said, "Grandma has avenged the baby."

Solomon looked at Rupert with great amusement in Hector's mother's arms and there was little Rupert could do.

Watching the banter, Eloise can sense that Rupert has a special place in his heart for this little nurse, and that they might actually make a good couple.

After the meal, Aisly decided to go back, followed by Rupert and Hector's mother.

Eloise, uneasy about Hector, did not go back with them; after all, this workaholic forgets to eat when he forgets to work.

Had to take Solomon to Hector's office and when they got there, Solomon ran out to play and Hector was still working. Only after getting everything ready did Eloise look up and call Hector over for dinner. Hector smiled and took Eloise in his arms, asking softly, "I see you're in a good mood, where did you all go shopping today?"

"Just went to the mall, ah, but there was an interesting thing that happened, about Rupert."

As soon as he heard it was about Rupert, Hector was intrigued and ready to listen.

"Today we were supposed to be passing by a jewellery shop and Rupert saw two men giving a girl a hard time and went to help relieve the situation, the girl was the little nurse who looked after Rupert in the hospital earlier. And yeah, I can tell Rupert has a special place for that little nurse, so these two might have something going on."

Eloise said and raised an eyebrow, Rupert was a little surprised to replace someone who could make his philandering brother treat him special, it seemed like that was really something.

He smiled as he ate the meal Eloise had fed him and said softly, "It would be nice if Rupert did settle down so Mum and Dad wouldn't have to worry about his marriage."

Hearing his words, Eloise grimaced and muttered, "Make it sound like you're saving your breath."

The two were close enough that Rupert could naturally hear what she said and couldn't help but laugh a little, jokingly pinching her waist and saying, "Even if I don't save my life, aren't I still being eaten to death by you?" As he spoke, his breath sprayed onto the nape of Eloise's neck, causing her to tingle a little.

With a scornful look at Hector, he proceeded to feed him a few more mouthfuls.

The two of them kept talking and laughing and Solomon came back at that moment, not to mention how happy he was to see daddy and mummy loving each other.

Once Hector had eaten his fill, Solomon saw the right moment to jump into Hector's arms and pouted, "Daddy, can you go out with me this weekend, Solomon doesn't want to stay at home all the time."

Hector rubbed Solomon's head and asked, "Yes, where do you want to go to play?"

As soon as he heard that Hector had agreed, Solomon immediately jumped out of Hector's arms and danced around, "Hurray! Daddy, Mummy let's go to the Maritime Museum.

I heard from my kindergarten classmates yesterday at school that there are so many, many fish in the marine museum, and they were talking about things that Solomon hadn't seen before, so I wanted to go there." Naturally, Eloise would not refuse and turned her attention to Hector.
