Love Comes To Me
Chapter 352: You're disgusting now

"I really know it was wrong." Dougal lifted his head and looked at Aisly with sincerity, his eyes full of sadness, as if he was in pain from the loss of a loved one.

Watching with cold eyes, Aisly made little indication.

In the midst of his daze, Dougal jerked a step forward and made a move to wrap his arms around Aisly.

"Tch." A cold extinction crossed her eyes as Aisly backed away slightly, not leaving Dougal a chance.

Sitting uneasily, Rupert raised his eyes to what was going on outside the window and saw Dougal's steps approaching, squeezing the spoon harder and harder, the fire in his eyes as if it were about to spill out. "Ahem." Seeing her like that, Eloise covered her mouth and coughed lightly.

"Eloise, what's wrong with you?" Hearing Eloise's cough, Hector's heart immediately tightened and his hand went to Eloise's back, patting it gently.

Seeing the blatant display of affection between the two, Rupert rolled his eyes and poked his glass hard with his spoon.

"I do know I was wrong... Aisly," seeing Aisly's slight retreat, a pang of sadness came into Dougal's eyes and looking into the eyes that had once held her captivated, Aisly smiled coldly.

"What's the point of knowing it's wrong." The tone was too flat, and as it came out, Aisly was surprised by herself, never imagining that one day she would talk to him so calmly.

"I ... do know I was wrong, I'm sorry, I know I've been a particular bastard for all the things I've done before, but I swear I'll never do that again, forgive me, Aisly... after leaving you I realised that the only person I ever loved was you." Dougal reached out and grabbed Aisly's other hand. Aisly frowned and tried to pull her hand back, but didn't want the man's grip to grow tighter and tighter.

"What's the use of knowing what's wrong, can a mistake be made up with a sorry, what's the use of having a police officer then... what's done is done and there's no way for any of us to go back."

Aisly said mockingly, shrugging off his hand harshly and turning around to leave.

Seeing that she seemed to want to leave, Dougal was in a hurry and immediately reached forward to tug her by the hand and said, "Forgive me, I really mean it and I swear that what happened before will never happen again, really, I promise." Tugging tightly at her hand as if afraid of the water, she left, only to be shaken off hard by Aisly.

"Dougal ..." Aisly raised her eyes, an unknown emotion in them.

Just see her lips parting and saying in one word, "You're disgusting now."

When he finished, he smiled as if in mockery and said with a sigh, "Let go. I'll never forgive you."

Hearing these words, a flash of despair passed through Dougal's eyes, and, a little too hard to speak, he stepped forward slightly, and Aisly, seeing that he seemed to be trying to take his hand again, took a slight step backwards. Eloise raised her eyes and looked worriedly out of the window at the few people, lightly taking the quilt and taking a sip, seeing that things were getting out of control outside the window, and looked to Rupert with some concern. The man was seen looking quietly out of the window, as if the events in the room had not a single thing to do with him, but the worry in his eyes, and the hand clutching the quilt, gave away his thoughts. "Hey." Eloise talked and shook her head, Rupert was all different from his usual self at this point.

"Things are a bit... Aisly out there that might not get it right, won't you go out and help?" Eloise thought for a moment and finally opened her mouth, and at the sound of her voice, Rupert froze, not moving.

After a long time, he only saw his head turn and asked languidly, "What does her business have to do with me, and why should I help her."

At that, Eloise froze, wanting to speak but not knowing what to say in return.

"What makes you still think I'll give you a chance, the story between us was over a long time ago when you did those things back then, do you understand that, what makes you come back to me now, what am I, to be abandoned at will and called back when you want? You stay out of my way, I don't want to see you and dirty my eyes."

Aisly growled a little tearfully, lest to her like this, Dougal raised his hand, not knowing what to do.

Sighing, he spoke slowly, "I know, I understand, I'll leave right away, don't be angry, it's not good for your health, I'll come back to you in some time."

Dougal took a few steps back, his eyes full of surrender, and Aisly laughed and spoke, "You'd better never come back in the future."

Leaning back in his car seat, Dougal rubbed his brow, the humility he had just felt all but gone from his eyes, which glowed with a cold light, and kicked the car hard.

"Shameless bitch, what's all the tugging about, if it wasn't for you to get close to the Rogers Group, you think I would have come to you?" Said the man, and then thought of the blunder that had been made then.

He was at the mall that day and accidentally hit Darline. The woman broke up with him immediately and even aborted the baby when he arrived.

It's not that he didn't think about going to the bank, but for whatever reason, the bank didn't agree, so he had to do it.

"I just don't believe in fooling this silly woman, big deal, more stalking." Dougal laughed languidly, his eyes clear with calculation.

Looking at Dougal's back as he left, Aisly wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked at the passers-by who had cast a glance at her because of the events that had just taken place and returned a smile.

Subconsciously, somehow, her eyes inexplicably looked over to the dining room, and looking at Rupert with his head bowed and eating dutifully, Aisly's heart inexplicably grew a little harder, and she lowered her head, not knowing what she was thinking.

Eloise looked at Rupert and shook her head slightly.

And Rupert, peacefully eating from his bowl, did not cast his eyes out of the window again, with some unknown emotion in his eyes, faintly surrounding him.

"Here, this is delicious." Hector opened his mouth, adding a dish to Eloise's bowl, unable to stop the doting look in his eyes.

Eloise returned his gaze with a smile in her eyes, and the two of them mingled in a way that made people look jealous.

But the movements of the two men did not, indeed, catch the eye of Rupert, who continued to bow his head sincerely, making his emotions unreadable.

And Eloise's gaze did not leave Rupert's. Perhaps feeling that the man's gaze was too heated, Rupert looked up slightly and met Eloise's eyes.

The moment she met her eyes, Eloise froze; the eyes were pure, yes, but the anger hidden in them was also clearly visible.

At the thought, Eloise smiled, only to be met with a quizzical look from Rupert.

"It's just that they still have to make the call on these things." Eloise thought about it and didn't say anything.
