Chapter 396: Blowing won't hurt anymore

After giving Eloise a look, Hector left.

Coming to the rooftop before Hector returned the call to Hall and opened his mouth to ask, "How's it going?"

"The man's been caught, I just don't know what you want to do next." Hall said indifferently.

"Just hand the man over to the police, you know what to do." Hector still had a lot of trust in Hall's methods of doing things.

Hector looked out at the sky, so blue that the birds were flying freely in the air.

But who knew how many eyes were staring at him under that same sky?

The two men Hector had caught could have been kept out of the hands of the police, and if they had been in his hands, he would have made them pay for what they had done.

But in China, he didn't want to show off yet, and he didn't want to use too many connections and means to deal with these people for the time being, so why not do so when someone could help him deal with them?

To put it bluntly, these two men were just two assassins bribed by Arthur, and it was Arthur who was hiding behind the crowd that really needed to be dealt with.

Hanging up the phone Hector went back to the ward, by which time Rupert had woken up, but was still a little weak.

"Son, tell Mum whatever you want to eat or drink, tell her, Mum will go and make it for you, anything you want Mum will oblige." Hector's mother stroked Rupert's cheek with immense distress.

"Mum, as long as you don't rush me into marriage."

Rupert's words caused Hector's mother some displeasure and punched him on the pillow and said, "Marriage is a lifelong event for a person, how can you not think about it, now that your brother has Eloise and a son, you don't have anything now and you expect to stay married for the rest of your life?"

Rupert bared his teeth at that, "Mum, I'm in pain."

"Where? Let Mum have a look."

As soon as she heard that Rupert was in pain, Hector's mother stopped nagging and got up to check on him.

Out of sight of Hector's mother, Rupert gave a wink that Eloise saw and sniggered at the lengths to which he would go to avoid the subject.

At that moment, the door to the ward opened and Aisly came in, food box and fruit in hand, and froze when she saw the room full of people. She had only come to visit Rupert and hadn't expected everyone from the Rogers family to be here.

Putting her things down, she tried to leave, but was stopped by Eloise.

"Aisly, stay if you're here, Rupert will need you to look after him later."

Hector's mother glanced at Aisly with hostility in her eyes.

This was the woman who had injured Rupert so badly, and it was only natural that she would not be impressed by the sight of her again. Sensing the look in Hector's mother's eyes, Aisly was at a loss for words.

Solomon took Aisly's hand and brought it to Rupert's side, saying, "Auntie Aisly, I think my little uncle is in a lot of pain, why don't you blow on him?" At this, Aisly could not help but laugh a little, the others in the room were also amused by Solomon and the atmosphere became cordial.

After a few more words in the house, Hector's mother was ready to go back to the house, after all, she had to get him a change of clothes.

Hector's mother took Solomon home and Eloise and Hector went back to the office, after all Hector had work to do.

When they arrived at the office, Hector was fully engaged in his work, and Eloise had settled into the habit of working while he worked and she read.

The two mercenaries were handed over to the police that day, Hall casually stonewalling them for a reason, lest they suspect something.

After dinner at the house, Hector took Eloise out, and the pair strolled down the street, enjoying the comfort of the evening breeze.

"Hector, it seems like a long time since we've taken a walk together like this."

Eloise said as she watched the sun go down.

At that Hector rubbed the top of Eloise's hair and said dotingly, "Yeah, it's been a busy time for me, plus Rupert is injured, as soon as we get these worms out of the country I'll take you out on a trip."

Eloise was a little alarmed at the thought of what she had encountered all this time and looked at Hector's face uneasily and said, "Keep in touch with me at all times, let me know your movements, and don't ever get hurt." Seeing the worry in Eloise's eyes, Hector's heart Agnes's and nodded earnestly.

The two hung out for a while longer before returning home.

The next day, Hector didn't go to the office, but his assistant came by as usual to report on his work and handed Hector the stack of information in his hand.

Hector flipped through it briefly, signed the end of the document and asked, "What is the current status of Stephens Group?"

The assistant handed the Stephens Group documents to Hector and said, "In the past two days, several large pharmacies owned by Stephens Group have closed down, and their hospitals have also been inspected. I don't think he's bothered with domestic matters."

Hearing the assistant's report, Hector said with satisfaction, "That's best, you should contact Ying Tian and ask him to keep an eye on him, and if possible, try to capture some of Stephen's market share abroad." Looking at Arthur's arrogant picture on the file, Hector wanted to strangle this man, if it wasn't for him, Rupert wouldn't have suffered so much.

Sensing the change in Hector's aura, the assistant hurriedly fled, lest he be affected by the ripples.

His heart still went out to Arthur, who was afraid that if he pushed Hector too far, his Stephens Group would have to close down.

Arthur received word abroad that the two mercenaries had been caught and couldn't believe it.

It wasn't just the loss of the two killers for him. He tore up the papers in his hands in anger and threw everything on his desk onto the floor, stomping on it.

After venting his anger, Arthur lit a cigarette and held the presentation on Hector in his hand.

Seeing Arthur calm down, the assistant spoke up, "President, I'm afraid we're not going to be able to do this now, the mercenary club is missing two of its masters and will definitely come after us."

"Then let's spend more money to get rid of them." Arthur sniffed distractedly and unbuttoned his shirt, which was making him a little breathless.

"It should be difficult to allocate funds now with the company in this state." The assistant whispered.
