Chapter 307

Brandon had been staring at the two Lovesick buckles that Andrew had hung up for two hours.

Brandon had to clench his fists to suppress the urge to rush out and take Savanna's lovesick buckle to see what she had written He thought, am I in Savanna's wish?

Is there Mandel? Mandel must be on it. But I... It was hard to say.

At seven o'clock, the young puritan came over to ask Brandon to go to the side hall for breakfast. Brandon finally saw

Savanna, as well as Cain, Neil, and Justin.

So many people came.

Savanna was talking to them happily. When Brandon thought of Savanna's coldness toward him last night, he felt uncomfortable. He could stand the fact that Leo accompanied Savanna to get there for the sake of her safety. But since Cain also came, Brandon was not that generous anymore.

Everyone saw Brandon come in with a cold face, and they stopped talking and quieted down to eat breakfast.

Savanna looked at Brandon, ignoring the coldness on his face. She took a piece of bread and handed it to him. "Hurry up and eat. After eating, we can go down the mountain."

Brandon took the bread. There happened to be an empty seat beside Savanna, and Brandon sat down without any hesitation. He picked up a piece of radish from Savanna's bowl and chewed it hard. Everyone could see that Brandon minded Cain, Leo, and the others going up the mountain.

Savanna knew that Brandon was used to being overbearing. She did not say anything but just smiled at him. And then she lowered her head to eat the food in the bowl.

After they finished eating, Savanna and Brandon went to bid farewell to Andrew. They walked to the meditation room and waited. But they didn't see Andrew but the young puritan. The young puritan said to them, "Mr. Jones has gone down the mountain for travel. Miss, before Mr. Jones left, he told you to remember his words."

Savanna nodded. "I will remember what Mr. Jones said."

On the way down the mountain, Brandon could not help but ask Savanna curiously, "What did Andrew say to you?"

Savanna looked at him and did not want to increase the burden on his heart, so she said, "Mr. Jones didn't say anything. He just asked me to take his medicine. He said that his medicine only cured fated people."

Brandon was convinced by Savanna's words.

Brandon reached out to smooth the wrinkles between Savanna's eyebrows. "Don't worry, Mr. Jones' medicine can cure you."

After returning to New York, Rex immediately took the medicine that Andrew gave Savanna to the medical testing center.

The report not only surprised Rex but also made the medicine research team under him happy. The problem that they could not solve was actually solved by Andrew.

The two medicines that Andrew used were not the two that the research team had thought of. However, Andrew could replace them with another two medicines, which had similar effects and were beyond the research team's expectations.

This was a piece of good news that could cheer up Rex and the others.

Rex felt that he could finally stop staying in the laboratory all day.

He called Brandon and told Savanna to take the medicine without worry. He also said that Andrew was worthy of his reputation as an immortal puritan.

If there was a chance, Rex would go to Spiritual Mountain to visit Andrew.

Savanna began to take the medicine Andrew gave her.

On the day Brandon and Savanna returned to New York, Aldo kept calling Brandon. Brandon was forced to return to Philadelphia with Rex.

Lorena took the poison by mistake. Because of the high dosage, her organs were failing. Aldo could not replace Brandon and signed the operation agreement on behalf of Lorena's family. After the experts diagnosed, they quickly took emergency measures for Lorena's illness. Before taking measures, the doctor did a comprehensive physical examination for Lorena and found the cancer cells in her esophagus. Lorena had advanced-stage esophagus cancer.

Brandon stood at the door of the ward and listened to Aldo's choked words. Brandon did not speak, but his lips turned pale.

His aura was cold and oppressive.

"The Heart Restoration Pill has been replaced with poison. Aldo, haven't you always been with her?"

In the face of Brandon's interrogation, Aldo's heart thumped.

The tip of Aldo's nose was covered in sweat, and his voice trembled slightly. "Mr. Young, I've checked all the surveillance cameras in the house and the servants. Only Mia is suspected because she was the one who took care of Mrs. Young that night. The next day, she took leave and did not come to work."

"Where is she now?" Brandon asked.

Aldo said, "She's gone. I couldn't replace her when I went to Ewton University. People said that she had dropped out of school."

Aldo quickly handed Mia's information to Brandon.

Mia, 20 years old, a sophomore at Ewton University. She went to work in the Young's home to support herself.

Brandon saw Mia's family members.

Renee Sloan, 49 years old, was Mia's adopted mother, and her profession was unknown.

Rhett Latimer, 18 years old, Mia's younger brother, dropped out of school and made a living by playing games.

What made Brandon pause was that Renee's appearance was actually similar to Savanna's. Although the photo was a little hazy, Brandon could still see Renee's facial features.

Brandon was stunned.

"We must lind Mia. If you can't replace her, investigate Rhett or Renee."

When Brandon entered the ward, Rex was checking Lorena. Lorena was lying on the bed, motionless. Her eyes were turning, but they were unfocused. She should be unconscious now.

Brandon asked Rex, "How is it?"

Rex replied, "She is too stubborn. In fact, she has been in bad health long ago."

Rex pointed outside. "Let's talk outside."

Rex led the way out.

Brandon followed him out.

At the Rose Villas in New York.

Lizeth prepared the medicine for Savanna. "Savanna, Mr. Jones is really an expert. If you take two packs of the medicine, your illness should be cured."

Savanna finished the medicine and wiped her mouth. "Mr. Jones said that his medicine cured the fated person."

Lizeth said, "There are rumors that Mr. Jones was a medical doctor when he was young. He became a puritan because of love. As for puritans, they usually speak in a mysterious way. Since he was willing to wait for you and Mr. Young for more than a month at Cloud Church, it meant that he knew that you were going to visit him, and he wanted to help you sincerely."

Savanna smiled bitterly. "I hope it is as you say."

Lizeth took the bowl from Savanna and went to the kitchen to wash it.

Savanna sat down on the sofa and focused on TikTok. Mandel came downstairs and walked to Savanna. He pulled her hand around his waist. Then he sat on Savanna's lap and nestled in her arms. He fiddled with the iPad in a comfortable posture.

The trending topic always popped up, covering most of the screen. Savanna was going to remove it, but she accidentally clicked on it.

"The only daughter of the Thompson family abandoned her insane mother and tried to flatter the power and rich. She was heartless and would eventually go to hell. Perhaps she would follow in her mother's footsteps and become a

prostitute..."

The news was unbearable to look at. Savanna narrowed her eyes and got a little angry. She did not think the woman in the news was her. After all, there were thousands of women with the surname Thompson in the world. But the last sentence made her emotional.

"Those who abandoned her mother, her husband, and her son must be punished in hell."

Savanna did not abandon her mother, but she had once abandoned Mandel and Brandon... She bit her lips, and her face turned pale.
