Chapter 64
Andrew gently cupped Madelyn's cheeks, urging her to meet his gaze. "Darling, do you doubt me?"
Her eyes were teary, yet she remained silent, which added to Andrew's unease. He kissed her, but she kept her lips firmly sealed and showed no reaction. After a moment, he nibbled her lip discontentedly. Madelyn was about to protest when Andrew suddenly said, "Natalie's leaving next month for a film shoot abroad. She won't be back for about two years unless something unexpected happens. "What if something unexpected happens?" Madelyn asked.
Andrew paused, then grinned warmly. "Don't worry, nothing unexpected is going to happen.”
If Natalie made Madelyn uncomfortable tonight, Andrew wouldn't tolerate Natalie being around Madelyn anymore, regardless of Natalie's intentions.
Madelyn huffed. "She has a thing for you, can't you tell?"
"Honestly, I hadn't picked up on that!" Andrew blurted out. He didn't see Natalie often, and tonight's sudden events had caught him by surprise, so he hadn't even noticed.
Madelyn was still furious. Andrew held her, gently calming her with patience. Tonight, Madelyn realized something. She had been
too reserved. She had never gone out with Andrew publicly and had even caused so much trouble.
In Klago City, who knew how many women were waiting for Madelyn to divorce so they could take her place? Tonight's incident with Natalie was just the beginning. Frankly, this was all Madelyn's fault. Madelyn became indignant, firmly stating, "I'm not okay with you
being physically, intimate with other women."
Andrew chuckled in response, the heaviness in his heart dissipating. He drew her slender waist closer, closing the gap between them. Then you'll just have to keep an eye on me every day."
The night was pitch-black, and they were bathed in moonlight, creating a picturesque scene. Just as they reached a crucial moment, Madelyn suddenly gripped his arm. Andrew's expression tensed as he asked, "Are you still upset?"
Madelyn's cheeks reddened with embarrassment as she hesitated and looked at Andrew. "Um, it looks like my period decided to show up early."
Andrew paused, counting the days and realizing it was actually three days ahead of schedule. Sitting up, he gently placed his hand on her abdomen. "Does it hurt?"
Every time her period came, it brought excruciating pain. Madelyn nodded in response. "I feel cold, and it hurts."
Her lower back had been uncomfortable since the afternoon, and now, it was worse. She had assumed she was tired earlier today and hadn't expected her period to arrive so unexpectedly. Andrew grabbed a blanket and draped it over her. "Lie down."
"But I think we're out of sanitary pads here," Madelyn murmured.
They hadn't been to Skyview Heights in quite some time, so there weren't any pads or anything like that around.
Andrew got up. "I'll go get some."
Madelyn's face flushed again, but Andrew didn't feel awkward. He grabbed his coat and left. He hadn't taken his phone with him, and it Tang as soon as he walked out the door. Seeing it was Grace calling, Madelyn picked up. "Mom."

Upon hearing Madelyn's voice, Grace asked anxiously, "Maddie, did Andrew upset you again? Let me know. I'll give him a piece of my mind."
"No, Grace. It's just that my period suddenly started, so I came back home." Madelyn didn't bring up Natalie's actions in the back garden. She trusted Andrew to handle it.
Before, Madelyn had felt sorry for Natalie. Tonight, she learned a valuable lesson-no one was disliked for no reason. Just like how the Millers once disliked Madelyn, there was a reason for it.
