Chapter 160

Caleb ordered, “Get someone up there to search.”

His face was grim with anger. The situation in the Garcia family was already chaotic enough, and now it

had escalated to this.

Upon hearing Caleb’s order for a search, Elena cried and shook her head at Caleb. Just moments ago, she had been defiant. But now, she couldn’t utter a single word.

Caleb was visibly fed up with her now. He turned his face away, wishing that Elena wasn’t his daughter.

Elena felt hurt by Caleb’s indifference. She turned to Amelia with a look of helplessness.

“Mom…”

Amelia was also feeling overwhelmed.

“Shut up!”

Although Amelia understood that Elena’s actions were for her sake, it was evident that things wouldn’t end well unless those jewelry pieces were presented.

She regretted her naivety earlier. She foolishly thought they could deceive the Millers and keep all those jewelry pieces.

If only she hadn’t been so greedy, swapping out one or two pieces among the many items might have

avoided this situation.

Elena’s eyes flashed with deep resentment when she saw that Amelia was not on her side.

Andrew promptly took Madelyn back to Serenity Villa and called Waylon to come over. This time, the agreement to sever ties with Caleb was meticulously drafted.

After reviewing it, Waylon remarked, “Once this is filed in court, it will be processed immediately. The terms are very clear.”

“How soon can it be done?‘ Andrew asked.

He had long wished to sever any ties between Madelyn and the Garcia family.

“If both parties sign, the agreement will be finalized on the same day,” Waylon replied.

“Then let’s get it done by tomorrow.”

He then instructed Daniel to fetch the residency documentation upstairs and hand it to Waylon.

He told Waylon, “Update her registration under mine.”

Finally, everything was in order again. Andrew had no idea what Madelyn had been thinking before, as she had previously given her residency documentation to the Garcia family.

Seeing Andrew take care of these matters warmed Madelyn’s heart. As soon as Waylon left, Madelyn proactively sat on his lap.

She said affectionately, “Darling, I love you.”

Andrew’s eyes softened with deep affection.

“Will you behave from now on?”

After all the trouble, she, still couldn’t escape his control.

Madelyn nodded vigorously.

“I’ll always listen to you, darling.”

Andrew was pleased. He kissed her gently and rested his forehead against hers.

He softly coaxed, “That’s good. You’ll be obedient from now on, right?”

“Yes.”

Madelyn was lost in his tenderness. She and Andrew avoided the subject of the Garcia family. She allowed him to change the topic.

Andrew wanted to take Madelyn to the office with him the following day. However, she refused. She wanted to focus on recovering her health as soon as possible.

Earlier, Andrew had mentioned a doctor she had seen before who was good in this regard. She wanted to see the doctor that day.

Andrew let her go ahead with her plans and had Rowan arrange everything at the hospital.

After breakfast, Andrew asked her, “Are you sure you don’t want me to accompany you?”

“You go ahead with your busy schedule. This is something I’ll be dealing with long–term,” Madelyn replied.

She tried to sound casual, but her words revealed a tinge of sadness. She had two friends who had married as early as she did, but they were still struggling to conceive because of these issues.

Several years of treatment had tested their endurance, and she had never imagined she would be one of them.

Andrew ran his fingers through her hair.

“Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I don’t mind.

“But I really want to!” Madelyn insisted firmly.

Andrew paused briefly at her words, then softened, satisfaction apparent in his “Okay. We both want it.”
