Tyler was not surprised Harvey would use Vicky to threaten him since he predicted he would pull thisstunt on him.

However, Harvey was right; Tyler was not willing to bet on Vicky’s life at all.

“Let Vicky go,” said Tyler calmly, “and HI let you walk away.”

“As if I’ll believe that. You even lied to Vicky before, so why should I believe you?” Harvey was no fool.“Put down your gun, and ask your men to leave.”

Tyler’s eyes darkened. After a few seconds of silence, he ordered his men to withdraw. Thus, the menwho had Vicky and Harvey surrounded retreated.

“Your gun, Tyler,” reminded Harvey.

Tyler’s gaze never left Harvey while he put his gun down on the ground.

“Kick it over here,” said Harvey.

Tyler did exactly as he asked.

After making sure the gun was out of Tyler’s reach, Harvey- still holding Vicky hostage-walked outside.

However, everything changed in a split second when Harvey walked past Tyler. Swiftly, Tyler grabbedHarvey’s hand that held the gun.

Harvey did not expect Tyler would dare to act so rashly, not when Vicky was held hostage, so he wascaught off-guard.

By the time Harvey recovered from his shock, Tyler had stolen the gun and pulled Vicky away, too.

Harvey’s eyes turned cold. He managed to grab Vicky’s wrist just as Tyler was about to steal her away.He knew it would be impossible for Tyler to steal both the gun and Vicky at the same time. Besides,stealing a human was much harder than stealing an inanimate object like a gun.

Once Harvey pulled Vicky back, he lightly pushed her out of his way again as he knew Tyler would notfire the gun at that moment. They were too close for Tyler to take that kind of risk. Thus, Harvey did notwant to lose this opportunity to engage Tyler in a close-combat fight.

Harvey was a good fighter, but since he had not fully recovered from his previous injuries, Tylermanaged to get an upper hand after a few rounds.

Harvey’s face turned paler by the minute, and his wound burst open again. Blood trickled down hischest.

Seeing Harvey was about to collapse, Vicky screamed,” Tyler, stop! I’m going to shoot if you don’t!”

Tyler glanced at her and saw she was pointing his gun, which she picked at him. Her fingers weretrembling, but her face was calm.

Tyler was a little taken aback. “He pointed a gun at you, used you to threaten me, and you still want meto let him go? n

“Yes. Let him go now, or I’m going to shoot you,” Vicky replied resolutely.

Tyler chuckled softly. “You really want him to live that much, huh?”

“Yes.”

A sinister glint flashed across Tyler’s eyes. “The more you care about him, the more I want him dead!”

He immediately lunged for Harvey’s vital point after he said that.

Bang!

Vicky shot at the open space behind Tyler. It was her first time shooting a gun, and she jolted back atthe impact.

Though, she quickly recovered herself.

“Tyler, the next bullet will be on you if you don’t let Harvey go now.”

A never-seen viciousness appeared in Tyler’s eyes. Vicky’s threat did nothing to stop him. In fact, hestarted punching Harvey even harder.
