Avery’s expression immediately changed. She grabbed Tyler’s arm possessively.

“Just how shameless can you be, Vicky? You have no right to say who Tyler gets to see-not whenyou’re cheating on him with Harvey! You’re the most shameless woman I’ve ever met in my life!” shesaid shrilly.

“That’s enough!” Harvey was at the end of his patience.” Tyler, wake up! Vicky didn’t elope with me.The reason she’s here today is because you’re sick! She’s been trying to replace you a cure all this while.You must be blind if you can’t see how thin she’s become because of you!”

Tyler smirked. “Are you sure it’s because of me? Why do I get the feeling it’s because she knew whatshe was doing was wrong and the guilt and stress must’ve got to her?”

Harvey was speechless. He could not believe just how out of touch with reality Tyler could be. It tookhim a while to finally replace his voice.

“Tyler, have you forgotten what you’ve promised Vicky? You should know Avery is up to no good!”

“What right do you have for accusing me of going back on my words when must say, this is the mostdouble standard thing I’ve ever come across in my life,” replied Tyler mockingly.

He suddenly pulled Avery closer to him, despite him having to suppress the disgust he felt toward her.

Vicky suddenly burst out in tears, stunning Tyler.
