While Tyler was clear-headed, Vicky told him Harvey knew talented psychiatrists. Of course, she wouldhave Isabella investigate their backgrounds before all else. Tyler made no objections then, but he soonforgot about the whole thing. He even started imagining Vicky was betraying him.

“I’m not the only one who you thought Vicky was cheating with. There were also Noah, Alex,Sebastian… In fact, you thought Vicky was cheating on you with almost all of the guys she had contactwith.

“She stopped talking to all guys after that! And if she had to meet a male client, she’d always bringothers with her. She did all this to make sure you won’t get triggered, but it was all in vain because youdidn’t get any better,” said Harvey.

He then turned to Avery, who was still on the ground, with hatred and disgust.

“No one knows what Missus Hart, your mother, asked you to do that day. But according to ourresearch, it has something to do with Avery. Not only is she the heiress of the Yeager family, but she’salso under Valencia’s protection as well. We can’t make her talk or lock her up for interrogation…”

Harvey turned to look at Tyler. “But you should know that Avery has been secretly meeting up with youbehind Vicky’s back. Her motive is to fuel the flames of your imagination.

Vicky has told you more than once to stay away from Avery. Alas, even though you agreed to do as shesaid everytime, you just as quickly forget the promise you’ve made her.

“This time was no exception. All the times you think Vicky was going to betray, leave you, or meet upwith another man … It was all in your head.”

Harvey’s words echoed inside Tyler’s mind. ‘So everything was just my imagination?’ He looked atVicky once more. She looked visibly worn out.

She had not had a moment to rest ever since Tyler was diagnosed with a mental disorder. While hewas suffering in his imagination, she was suffering with him in real life.

Seeing Tyler slowly regain his sanity, Vicky walked up to him and gently held his cold hand. “Let’s gohome. I’ll tell you everything then,” she said softly.

This was not the first time this happened, nor would it be the last. Every time, Vicky would patientlyexplain what happened to him.

Tyler’s eyes slowly came to focus. It looked like he was back to being himself.

“I might forget everything again once we’re back,” he said self-deprecatingly.

Vicky looked at him. “It’s okay. As long as you remember me, it’s more than enough.”

She decided to stay through everything, which not many could do. To her, the suffering was madeworse by the lack of cure.

Tyler looked into her gentle eyes. His lips parted as though he wanted to say something when hesuddenly hugged her tightly.

Even though he knew he brought her nothing but pain, he could not bring himself to let her go. In fact,he would never let her go.
