Vicky’s eyes flickered. “I’m not sure, but from the way he’s behaving.Jt doesn’t look like he hasrecollected anything.”

Vicky only met up with Tyler a handful of times, and most of those times were done on the bed. To behonest, she could not tell whether he remembered anything.

“But don’t you replace it weird?” asked Aurora.

After a few seconds of silence, Vicky replied, “I’m partly to blame for what happened last time. Thingswouldn’t have become so troublesome if I just minded my own business.”

It was true. Vicky and Tyler would not have anything to do with each other if she had not gone up tohelp him.

“So what do you plan to do now?” Aurora asked with a sigh. Even she knew how difficult it would be toshake off Tyler, especially when it was obvious he was interested in Vicky.

Vicky rubbed her throbbing forehead. “I guess I have no choice but to use Avery.”

“Avery?” Aurora instinctively frowned when she heard the name.

Aurora had long met with Avery since they belonged to the

same circle. Even in their circle of heiress friends, Avery was known for her breathtaking beauty. Thefact that she was the only child in her family meant she was greatly spoiled by those around her.

In fact, her parents would have given her the sun, the moon, and the stars if she asked for it. Thus, itwas no surprise Avery turned out to be a spoiled, self-centered brat who thought everyone wasbeneath her, which made Aurora detest her.

“Vicky, it’s obvious Avery doesn’t think about anyone but herself from the fact that she cheated onTyler,” said Aurora suddenly. “Besides, he doesn’t look like he likes her that much either, so…why don’tyou get back together with him? Won’t that solve your blackmailing problem?”

The more she thought about it, the more genius she thought her idea was.

“From the way I see, he must love you very much to still have feelings for you after he lost his memory.It should be easy for you to get him to fall in love with you again. Plus, he wields the most power in hisfamily now, so it’ll be impossible for his grandfather to stop you two from being together anymore. Butthe most important question is… Do you want to get back with him?”

Vicky shook her head. “The fact that he didn’t call off the wedding after Avery cheated on him meant hestill wants to be with her. That, or he still needs her. I heard he was only able to rise to the top of hisfamily so quickly with the Yeagers’ help, so I don’t think it’ll be that easy for him to call off the weddingeither. Also, there’s a chance he’ll lose his power in the family if the Yeagers decide to pull out theirsupport.”

Vicky smiled deprecatingly. “But all of that doesn’t matter since he’s obviously just playing me.”

“How about you, Vicky? What do you want?” asked Aurora sympathetically.

“I don’t know,” said Vicky in a small, confused-sounding voice. Tyler had her in the palm of his hand, soshe did not know what she could do.

“Vicky, have you ever considered dating someone else?” asked Aurora.

“The whole thing with Gilbert happened because Tyler thought he was my boyfriend. I don’t think it’s agood idea for me to date anyone just yet.”

“Well, what if you date someone who’s more powerful than Tyler? He wouldn’t dare to mess with you oryour boyfriend then, would he?” Aurora replied with a smile. “Harvey seems to be doing well lately. I’msure with the power Harvey has in Stoneford City, it’ll be hard for Tyler to do anything to him. Why don’tyou give him a try?”

“Harvey? You can forget about him,” said Vicky without hesitation. “I don’t want to be the reason hegets thrown into jail again.”

“Ugh! Then is there really no one who can take down that evil b*stard?”
