Avery never expected Tyler to be that heartless. It was as if his mask was finally off, his true colorsrevealed.

Avery knew part of the reason Tyler chose her was because of her family’s fortune, but she did notcare. Her family’s fortune was just as much as her as her beauty. She also knew there was a chanceTyler might dump her after he rose to the position of head of the Hart family, but she told herself he wasa loyal man.

After all, he loved Vicky very deeply before he lost his memories, so he would surely be moved by howAvery tirelessly sacrificed everything for him in the four years they had been together. This would makehim want to be with her forever, right?

At that moment, Avery realized just how wrong she was. She vowed to herself that she would ruin hislife if it was the last thing she did. All her love for him had morphed into pure, unadulterated hate.

She would make him pay even if it cost her everything!

Alana and Avery left Tyler’s office in a huff.

“That Tyler is exactly like his grandfather!” said Alana angrily. “They’re both ungrateful b*stards! Tylerwouldn’t be where he is right now if it weren’t for our family’s support! He thinks he can kick us awayjust because we have no more use to him? Well, he can dream on!”

Alana and Avery would not have been so angry if Tyler had been nicer in explaining or even come upwith an excuse for his decision. However, he was obviously too lazy to at least do that, so how couldthey not hate him?

Avery gritted her teeth until they chattered. “I’m going to make him pay for playing with my feelings forfour years, even if it means I’ll ruin my life in the process!”

Before Avery came here, she had mentally prepared herself for the worst. After all, she knew what hecould be like after being with him for so many years. Not to mention, it would be completelyunderstandable for a man to turn down raising a baby that was not his.

She knew the negotiation outcome might not turn out the way she wanted. As much as she could notaccept it, she still knew that there was no other way than to grit her teeth and laid out her terms andconditions to him.

However, she was not really that worried because she still had an ace up her sleeve—her ability to usehypnotic control. She could force him to agree to raise the baby and figure out the rest later.

What pissed her off, however…was his attitude.

“I must teach him a lesson!” snarled Avery with a scary glint in her eyes. “So that he’ll know what’s theoutcome for messing with the Yeagers! I’m going to make him beg me for forgiveness.”

She started to imagine Tyler crawling back on his knees to her to beg for forgiveness, and she couldnot help but feel pleased with herself.Alana nodded. “Yes, he needs to be taught a lesson and takendown from his pedestal. Otherwise, he’ll never concede!”

After they got home, they started to exaggerate how Tyler mistreated them to Vernon. They did not tellhim the baby Avery was carrying was not Tyler. Instead, they told Vernon Tyler did not want to acceptor take responsibility for the baby.

Vernon was incensed, of course. However, he was not that surprised as he had predicted somethinglike this would happen one day.

“I knew long ago that Tyler wouldn’t be that easy to control,” said Vernon coldly. “All these years, we’veput him on a pedestal so high that he thought he could get to where he is without us. It’s a good thingwe still have an ace up our sleeves. He can’t blame us for ruining his life when he’s the one who forcedus to do that.”

In their discussion, the three of them concluded that they must do everything they could to stop hiswedding from happening. They wanted him to feel so tortured that he would not be able to sleep or eat.
