LUCIFER'S HUMAN BRIDE -
FEEDING THE DRAGON
Lucinda took a deep breath and retraced Ralph's steps to the wall that led to the secret passage. She pushed the brick in, sighing, and the walls opened. She quickly entered the passage and looked into the abyss. She smiled to herself and spread her wings, flying into the dark hole without using the rope.
She flew across the lava, heading to the gate, feeling refreshed as she was using her wings freely in there, holding tightly to the bag. She landed on the floor as she realized she was almost at the gate; she tried to make her wings go away, but they were still visible. "Ugh! What's happening." She muttered to herself, trying to look at her wings. She tried again, but it wasn't working.
"Why is this happening now? My wings are stuck." Lucinda said in a sad tone, trying her best to make her wings go or disappear, but she was still trying to access all her powers; she couldn't teleport or disappear. She started hearing loud footsteps.
"Who is there?" She heard Deacon's deep voice, which made her heart skip a beat. She panicked and looked around, spotting a dark wall devoid of light crystals. She ran and hid behind the wall, peeping to see who it was. She saw Deacon flying around the place looking for the person who was there. Lucinda tried her best not to breathe and closed her eyes, calling Lucifer. "Please, I am in trouble; help me," she called out to him. Deacon could sense someone in the direction where Lucinda was; he sighted her hair, she quickly hid her face, and he started flying toward her. "Please help me or I will get caught on my first try; my wings aren't listening to me," she lamented. "Take a deep breath and try to make your wings go away..." Lucifer instructed. Lucinda quickly took a deep breath and wished for her wings to vanish, and her eyes popped open when she saw Deacon in front of her. "What's the matter? Why are you hiding?" he inquired. She looked over her shoulders and realized her wings were gone; She sighed in relief. "I thought I was lost." She replied, forcing a smile, and extended the bag of meat to him. It distracted Deacon, who took the bag from her with his strong teeth that brushed her hand. He flew down and started eating the meat. "Since you are human, why do you eat only meat?" she raised a question. "Because if I don't eat meat, I won't be satisfied; it's the only food for this dragon body; it's killing me, but I can't help it...I am not a human; I am a special being." He replied.
"Where are they?" She heard Ralph's voice and spotted him standing in front of the gate. "We are here." She said waving at him. Ralph turned to look at her and smiled. "Wow, I am amazed at how fast you learn." He commented, making Lucinda blush like a child.
"Why are you here? I thought I was going to have a private conversation with her alone, but it seems you don't trust her on the job yet." Deacon remarked as Ralph caught up to them.
"... it's not like I don't trust her, but I was worried that she might fall down the cliff or something, so I came down here." Ralph replied. Deacon grunted and continued eating. Ralph turned to Lucinda. "Let's leave." He declared. "What? But I just got here." She protested, and he moved closer to her and took her hand. For a moment, Lucinda felt like she was already cheating on Lucifer because she was getting the feeling of deja vu just by being close to him. She followed him, and when they arrived at the lava area, he quickly let go of her hand as he realized he had been holding it for a long time. "Go ahead," he said. She knew he wanted to see the way she was able to jump across the lava, so she swallowed her saliva and started jumping across the lava. When she nearly tripped on a lava hole that was about to stream fire, he caught her teleporting away from the lava area and placed her down in a safe area. She found herself staring into his eyes, as his hair was flying heroically in the wind. His mood was easy to read; his eyes were green, which meant he was happy. She wasn't used to being taken care of by a man, but she was happy that the lava didn't touch her; if it had, he would have noticed that it couldn't hurt her.
"Be careful," he said and swept her off her feet, carrying her on his shoulder. He seemed to enjoy carrying her, possibly because she was light in weight. They arrived at the point where the rope was, and instead of using it, he simply teleported to his office with her. The moment he placed her on the ground, an employee ran into his office, panting. "S-Sir, we found a demon," he said.
"Where is he?" Ralph inquired. "He is torturing a woman on the street," he replied. Lucinda placed her hand on her face, disappointed in her demon brothers, they were treating humans like garbage, which was one of the reasons Ralph was getting rid of them.
"What's the address of the place?" Ralph asked, and the employee brought out his phone and handed it to Ralph, who stared at the address with his eyes turning red.
"Let's go," he said, and handed the phone back to the employee. He teleported away, and Lucinda went back to her desk, staring at her phone, when he appeared back in the office and started walking toward Lucinda's desk. He was wearing a stylish armor now with a sheath in his hand.
"What's wrong? Why are you back?" Lucinda asked curiously. "You are my assistant and also my sidekick, which means you are also going with me." He said. "But..." he didn't let her finish his speech before gesturing for her to go to him. Lucinda rose from her seat and stood in front of him, and he moved closer to her and hugged her.
