Luna Abigail -
Chapter 12
(Third person P.O.V)
As he teleported away, the only thought in his mind was how to ensure Morgan will stay safe in the pack. When he had smacked her in front of all those people, he had cringed inwardly. He hated being violent, but he needed to keep up the farce. They had an agreement, and he was determined to keep his word.
His words towards the Queen had sounded so fake in his ears, but he knew everyone else, but Morgan, had bought them. She was the only one knowing of his true self.
He lands on the Water Coven’s territory and walks inside. His mother greets him with an expression of anger and worry.
“Why are you here? And where is Morgan?” She asks immediately. He runs his hands through his hair.
“That insolent little Queen took her from me. She had the audacity to order me to surrender my future wife just because she met her mate. And at Silver Mist, of all places.” The man answers with a trembling voice, as if he has so much anger and resentment towards the Queen and Silver Mist.
“And you just let that child order you around? I thought I had raised you better than that, Aros?” Sylla slaps him across the face.
“You need to get that girl back, and soon! We need her b***d if we are to take down the Silver Mist pack and that abomination to a Queen.” Sylla says calmly. Aros nods in understanding, but the truth is that he doesn’t want Morgan back. She is where she should be.
Morgan is the granddaughter of the Head Coven Witch from the Rising Sun Coven, but she is also a fey princess. She doesn’t know this herself, but Aros overheard his mother talk about it.
She was hidden away in the Rising Sun Coven when she was born; the unknown daughter of the fey King and Meeri’s daughter, Elise.
Elise moved to the fey kingdom after she gave birth, to be with her King, giving up on being the next Head Witch.
Meeri surely agreed to stay in the position until Morgan was of age to take over.
That should have happened, but she has been holding off. Probably hoping to replace a way for Morgan to not marry Aros. Little did she know Aros had no such plans. He only wanted Morgan out of harm’s way, and the only way for that to happen was to offer himself as a treaty husband between the Covens. This way Sylla would let both the Rising Sun and Morgan be at peace, in the thought they will always be in arm’s reach.
Aros walks away from his mother. He needs to ensure that Morgan stays in Silver Mist without being found out.
He despises Sylla. She killed his birth mother, forcing him to accept her as his “new mother” and follow her ways.
Little did she know that all her troubles lately have been on him. One useful thing he has learned from her is how to act. His acting skills improving over time, and now he can give a convincing a*****e to his surroundings. Keeping his own feeling under wraps, showing the world what they expect to see, and never show his actual emotions. It’s what has kept him alive all these years.
Aros walks into his room, sitting at his working desk. He needs to replace out how he can keep an eye on Morgan without seeming suspicious. Then it hit him, and he slaps his hand to his face. Of course, the solution was clearly obvious.

Aros walks into his mother’s working chambers. She is standing over a cauldron with bubbling liquid.
“What now?” Sylla asks, clearly annoyed by his interruptions.
“I have a suggestion, mother.” Aros says in an icy voice. He knows she would not tolerate him showing any kind emotions, not even with her.
“And that is?” She looks up at him, eyebrow raised.
“I need to get Morgan back, and I need to know the Silver Mist pack lands. So, I will go under a cloaking spell and spy on them. Get to know their routines and ins and out.
When they start to feel safe, I will take her back here with me.” Aros turns to walk out, when Sylla speaks up.
“I don’t need you to go spy on that lousy pack. I have an insider who will return the girl to me. And this time, I will handle her and keep her in my dungeon.” Sylla smiles evilly at Aros, who raises an eyebrow.
“Either way, one can never be too careful and I will ensure this informant of yours will do as agreed.” Sylla’s smile widens, and she laughs. A cold laugh, sending chills down Aros spine.
“That’s the way to think. You will go there under the spell and monitor everything. When I need my informant to make their move, I will inform you who to look out for. They will never know what hit them.” Sylla keeps on laughing.
“Oh, and you also need to know something else before you go. I am not just planning to get Morgan back here, but another very important guest. A guest my informant is keen to get revenge on. So monitor EVERYTHING, not just your little slut.” Syllas does a movement and Aros is forced out of the room.
He walks outside. The spell to be invisible is known by heart and it has been very effective because he also learned the spell to hide his aura and life essence. Keeping him totally concealed for everyone around him. He was just not sure how this will work with the Queen, who, despite of the other spells, should be able to sense him. He is, after all, her subject, no matter what he said earlier.
-Three days later-
Aros has been at Silver Mist for three days. Monitoring things, watching over Morgan and the Queen. He dares not to move into the pack lands in fright the Queen may sense him.
He has been switching between two spots in the tree line, where he can overlook most of the land. The Rising Sun Coven is preparing to move here, working along with the wolves to get the homes ready. Morgan showed up two days ago with her mate’s mark on her neck. He overheard some pack members talking about the powerful leaders their pack has gotten, and it made him warm inside to hear the pride in their voices.
Much to his surprise, on the third day, he was able to follow the Queen and her friend as they sat down in the park near the woods. He listened as they talk about how the friend was afraid to get a wolf like Morgan. Aros nearly falls down from his spot when he hears this. Morgan had become a hybrid, or more like a tribrid. A mix between fey, witch, and wolf. She was rare indeed, and he needs to make sure Sylla does not hear this news. If she did, there would be no stopping her from killing everyone standing in her way of Morgan and the Queen. The time was near.
He needed to reveal himself to the Queen, but he needed her to come only with Morgan.
The longer he observes the Queen, the more he is sure she is the one who can unite their fractions. She is something else entirely, and he is proud to be her subject!
As he watches the friend and her Alpha mate walk back towards the pack house, Aros’ mind is occupied with how he can get a message to Morgan? A child’s scream interrupts his thoughts, and what she says gives him hope for a future. If the wolves can join together, then surely his Coven will have hope, too. But only when Sylla is dead. Maybe the Rising Sun will welcome the good coven again. People who Aros knows are pure and true to the royalty, are still there buying their time to the day where they can come forth and show their true selves.
(Abby’s P.O.V)
I can’t help but laugh at Willow’s enthusiasm. She is bouncing up and down on the spot, clapping her hands together.
“Willow, will you calm down, please? And Jason, what is this with a joined pack house?” Matt tries to take some control over the situation, going right to the point. Willow quiets down, but keeps jumping on the spot.
“Well, eh? Actually, I was thinking now that Ellie is my mate and Abby’s sister and with Willow living here in Silver Mist, that a pack house on a border between our two packs would be beneficial. A place where we can all live together, like a family, and run our packs. Ya know? It would be a great way for us to show the members how tight we are, and that we are truly sister packs.” Jason says while blushing profusely. Matt looks at me with a question in his eyes.
‘This would really take out all our troubles regarding Ellie and Willow, plus we would be near both packs in case of an attack.’ Matt mind-links me. I nod in agreement and feel deep in my soul how my family yet again is growing.
“I think it’s a splendid idea, Jason. How about we start with the plans already? I think the sooner we start, the sooner it will be done. A friend of mine; the Alpha of White Mountain actually has several construction companies. I think we should talk to him about it. Last I heard, he was headed to challenge the high king of the vampires. I need to check in on that, anyway.” Matt states. Jason laughs.
“I hear Jayden’s mate is something else entirely. She is supposed to be very gifted, and the boss in that relationship. I need to hear how Alpha Black did against her, because I am sure she will never let ANYONE put a finger on her mate.” Both guy’s laugh until they catch the eyes of their mates. Both me and Ellie have our eyebrows raised.
“Uhm, what I mean is..” Jason starts. “Eh, sorry, baby.” Both Alpha’s conceits.
“Uh, huh.” I say with a smirk as Ellie shakes her head. The boys walk inside the pack house to discuss the plans, and call Alpha Black of White Mountain.
We keep talking amongst ourselves. Morgan is observing mostly, and I feel like taking her for a walk, too.
“Brandon, will you excuse me and Morgan for a bit? I feel like we need to get to know each other more.” I smile sweetly and watch as Brandon looks at Morgan. Her eyes are wide with worry.
“Don’t worry hun, I will not eat you or yell at you. I am just very curious about you and your background as a witch and the granddaughter of Meeri.” I tell her honestly. Morgan nods and we both get up.
“Come on, the forest is beautiful and we can talk in private there.” I shoot Brandon a warning. I want to talk to her without anyone else there, and I want to know more about the young man with her when she came here.
We walk into the forest in silence. Morgan is the one to break it.
“I know you must be very curious about Aros, your Highness. Or is it Luna now? I’m confused.” She looks down with red cheeks.
“So the young man’s name is Aros?” I ask, dismissing the titles entirely.
“Yes, Luna Queen.” Morgan answers, clearly proud of herself for replaceing a suiting title for me.
“Psst. It’s just Abby, please. I don’t do so well with titles, and the goddesses have been giving me three different ones. Well, jokes on them. I hate titles, and will not be using them unless absolutely necessary.” I say with determination. Morgan giggles at my horror’d face.
“Well, Abby. Aros is really not what he makes himself out to be. And he actually contacted me telepathically a moment ago. He is here, and he really wants to talk with you.” My eyes widen.
“Why would I speak with a man who clearly abused you and forced your grandmother to make a treaty with his mother just so he could gain power?” I ask in disbelief. Morgan sighs.
“Please Abby, trust me on this. He is not what meets the eye. He has never abused me, only done what was necessary in public. I am pleading here, please.” I can’t believe this, but something tells me she is telling the truth.
“Okay, I will meet with Aros and listen.” I say, defeated. Morgan gives me a wide smile and looks around. Suddenly, I sense a presence behind me, but as I turn around, there is no one to be seen. A laughter sounds from the emptiness, it’s warm and rich, nothing like the young mans voice a few days ago.
“So, you can sense me despite my spells? That is very interesting.” Aros pops up out of nowhere and smiles warmly at me.
“It’s an honor to meet you, my Queen. But we can’t talk here.” He takes a step forward, and I feel the ground disappear underneath me.
What the heck, he teleported with us? Although he just teleported us, I sense no danger and Galaxy is quietly observing in my head.
Now I really need that explanation.
