Luna Abigail -
Chapter 20
Isadora’s P.O.V.
“Should we talk?” He asks, probably hoping I will decide to stay here and be his Luna. Little did he know I already wanted to stay and rule by his side. I truly believed, along with Astra, that Daemon and Jackson can be reformed and changes made in this pack of snobs.
As I nod, there is a knock on the door.
“Daemon, honey, I know you are in there. I’m here to please you again.” A female voice calls out!
‘Oh, hell no! No one touches our mate but us!’ Astra growls in my mind. She is livid some she whore is trying to butt her way into our mate’s bed. But did I want him as a mate? The answer in my heart was yes, but my mind kept saying, maybe.
I was attracted to Daemon, that was for sure, but was it enough?
‘Stop doubting him and start claiming him! He is our mate and I will not have any other.’ Astra huffs. She’s been on Team Daemon from day one, even despite his wrong doings. I smirked at my horny wolf. I already gave him and us a chance in Selene’s world. His apology towards everyone was heartfelt and sincere.
Daemon had paled at the yell at the door. I knew who she was, and he already told her ‘no’ one time today. It was about time she learned the meaning of that word. I wasn’t blind. My mate had been a man whore in his teens, but by the time he hit 20, he stopped sleeping around. He went celibate for some reason or another. I had to ask him sometime.
I stalked to the door, throwing it open, getting in the she-wolf’s face. I was not about to be lenient with whoever thought they could disrespect me or my mate. He was mine and mine alone.
“Yes?” I ask in an annoyed tone.
“Who the f**k are you?” The whore asks in a shrill voice, obviously taken by surprise by another female.
“The Luna.” I answered flatly. Behind me, I could practically feel the glee rolling off of Daemon and Jackson. They were in heaven by that statement.
“There is no Luna! You are lying. I’M THE LUNA TO BE!” she screams. I already had enough of her. My eyes turn to their amethyst color and Astra is speaking with me. All the while, we grab the woman by the scruff of her neck.
“We are the rightful Luna in this pack, and you are insignificant! Keep your mangy paw off our mate and you may live another day.” Astra is outraged and wants to kill her. I’m not quite there with the killing of a fellow pack member, unless she does not follow our word and it’s a last resort.
The woman stackers backwards when I let her go, looking in absolute horror.
“What are you?” She asks.
“I’m and wolf/dragon hybrid and none of my animals like you, Carol.” I tell her in a fierce voice. Daemon walks up behind me at this moment.
“You are half dragon?” He asks, surprised at my revelation. Carol looks smug suddenly.
“Daemon, bab..” She tries, but Daemon growls.
“It’s alpha to you, Carol. Disrespect my mate one more time and I will have to punish you!” His eyes are black as coal. “Mmm. Half dragon?! That is so awesome! My mate is a badass. More than I initially thought.” Daemon purrs in my ear. He is acting like a lovesick puppy, which, to be fair, is quite amusing.
Carol is looking at us in horror, jealousy, and disgust.
“When have we associated with filthy half-breeds?” She spits. Daemon growls again and moves towards her. I instantly move in front of him and take his head in my hands.
“Daemon, baby. You need to calm down now! She doesn’t know better. None of our pack members know better.” I say while locking eyes with my pissed off alpha. Daemon takes a deep breath and k****s my cheek. Then his eyes glace over, mind-linking the pack, I assume. When his eyes clear, he takes my hand, interlacing our fingers, walking towards the outdoors.
Well, f**k.
Third person P.O.V.
Abby and Matthew reemerge in their bedroom, thinking they can get some peace and mate time. But the reality was another matter completely. As soon as they emerged in their bedroom mind-links, panic and chaos engulf them.
‘ABBY?! MATT?! WE NEED YOU?’ Kaiden was yelling in a panicked and angry tone. They could clearly feel the breach in their pack lands. They look at each other for a second before storming out of the bedroom.
‘Where is the breach? What is happening, Kaiden?’ Matt asks while he and Abby run down the stairs and outside. There they are, met with fighting everywhere. Demons in all forms, witches and wizards using magic on both sides, rogue wolves slaughtering defending pack members.
‘Eastern border originally. Where THE F**K have you been? I’ve been calling you for the last 10 minutes.’ F**k! Abby feels her mates panic as her own. She does not feel any herself, she is beyond angry. She is pissed off to the extent of not seeing or thinking clearly.
“You search the eastern border?! I’ll gather the girls. This ends NOW! No one attacks my pack and live to see the sun go down,” Abby sneers to them all, in a voice intermingled with Galaxy. They are going to do whatever it takes to save their people.
As they both shifts, Matt runs towards the Eastern border where the attack started. Galaxy stands tall, shaking out her fur before letting the whole packlands know their Queen has arrived with an ear-piercing howl. It is answered by a male howl, soon joined by every ally wolves there.
The howl is a call and in a flash of silver/purple light; they teleported all the star wolves to aid their Queen. They all arrive in wolf form, ready to take down the enemy and make the statement that they are not to be messed with. As they all look around and shake out their fur; Ellie, Morgan and Sami notice another wolf has joined their ranks. Their wolves wag their tales because they are now complete with the last star wolf amongst them. Their human counterparts are a bit more skeptical. In the end, they accepted Isadora even though she is a newcomer, because despite it all, she is their soul sister. Sami can relate to her situation. It was the same she herself found herself in when Abby was rescued in the hospital.
‘Star wolves, we are complete! Our sister Astra and Isadora have arrived to join us in this battle. All of us will get acquainted later, but right now we will take down the leader. We stop this madness. Kill anyone who stands in our way and make sure to work together. We are stronger as a unit than we are divided,’ Galaxy commands.
They enter the fray, and the demons attack them relentlessly. Vega creates a wall of fire to make sure no one is getting near her sisters and Queen. Astra makes the earth swallow the enemies, while Polaris and Antares works side by side, creating a frozen tornado ending the life of anyone who comes near it. Soon the girls have killed everyone in their reach and they move towards the East where all their mates but Bejamin and Daemon are fighting. They vaguely noticed how all their powers have grown in strength, and they can feel how when they are together, everything seems easier and more natural.
‘Does anyone have sight of where the leader is?’ Galaxy asks in a massive pack-link. First, no one answers, then someone links back.
‘The leader is at the eastern border, but on the other side of our packlands. She is trying to hide my Queen, but a young man got rid of her magic cloak,’ the warrior informs them. Galaxy sneers and growls. She knows exactly who is behind this attack and why. Sylla!
‘It must be Aros, trying to help us. He’ll get himself killed,’ Morgan links to Abby. She agrees and runs towards the location provided by the warrior.
Galaxy is merciless in her killing. Every rogue wolf, demon, or witch in her way dies. She doesn’t care if they are her people. They made a choice of standing with that psychotic bitch and now have to pay the price. She is so determined to replace Sylla and end this; she doesn’t see the knife before it is almost too late.
‘GALAXY WATCH OUT.’ The girls scream in one voice. She heeds the warning and duck in the last second. Then a mad cackle can be heard over the fighting.
“You didn’t really think it would be that easy to get rid of me, did you?” A familiar female voice asks in a mocking tone. Galaxy looks to the side, and there, between two huge rogues, stand none other than Maria. Oh! This bitch just didn’t know when to stop.
‘It’s on!’ Galaxy says, before charging towards her.
– Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield –
Blade takes just a second to admire his beautiful mate, before he runs towards the eastern border. Even though everything inside him is screaming, he needs to stay be her side; he knows she is right. They are needed to divide and she will have all the star wolves with her. But how she is going to manage that? He will ask when this is over. He jumps into the fight with all his might and tears rogues and witches/warlocks apart, left and right.
He reaches the border and joins Kaiden, Brandon, Morgan, Jason, Ellie and their combined warriors when someone shoots arrows against them. Ellie and Morgan, who are both still in human form, use their powers on the arrows pointed at the group, realising too late it was a distraction, as a knife of silver is thrown toward Balde. But before the knife can reach its target, it’s smashed to the ground. Neither arrows nor knife hitting their targets.
Blade looks around for his savior and watches when a familiar young man jumps up a tree and takes out the shooters with magic. He turns on the tree branch and bows to Blade with a sincere smile on his lips.
“I am here to serve the rightful King and Queen.” He says in a calm tone, before jumping down and attacking the enemies.
‘Blade, isn’t that..’ Matt asks but is interrupted by his wolf.
‘Yup, that’s him alright. I wonder if he was only acting that day when Morgan joined?’ Blade answers, genuinely pondering on the young man, before the next enemy presents themselves. Suddenly, they all hear a magnificent howl. Everyone stops fighting when the howl ends, knowing what it meant. It was a calling to all in the battle. Blade howls back, joined by every ally wolves there. Then Blade feels the magic around them as a silver/purple light emerges from where they came from, all the while Morgan and Ellie disappear in a similar light, causing their mates to panic.
The star wolves had arrived at the battle.
Blade was bursting with pride over his mate! He had the most amazing and badass mate in the entire realm.
‘Clam down, you two! They have been called to aid the Queen, and she has summoned them,’ Blade says in a link to Kaiden and Jason. They both nod, showing they both heard me. Being King has its perks. In the middle of battle, Jason doesn’t even give a second thought why Matt can mind-link him. Right now, the important thing is to locate the instigator and leader of this attack.
‘Does anyone know who or where the leader is?’ Galaxy asks in a massive pack-link. First, no one answers, then someone links back.
‘The leader is at the eastern border, but on the other side of our packlands. She is trying to hide my Queen, but a young man got rid of her magic cloak,’ the warrior informs them. Just as the link ends, they can hear a swarm of curses not too far from where Balde and the others are still fighting alongside the Rising Sun Coven.
“Aros, you traitor! I will get you back for this.” A shrill female voice rings out just before the young man from before appears from nowhere.
‘Abby, we have the leader here.’ Matt mind-links his mate, who isn’t answering. Matt tries again, but still nothing.
‘What is happening?’ Matt asks in a mind-link, joining all the girls who he knows are with his mate.
‘Uhm, you might join here, Matt. You will not like who just showed up or what Abby is doing right about now.’ As Ellie answers with a nervous chuckle, Matt and Blade’s b***d runs cold.
“Oh, the little King wants to save his precious Queen. Sorry, she is preoccupied with a past ‘friend’. ” The same shrill female voice from before rings out and a young woman with an evil smirk appears. “You might get to say goodbye when Maria is finished with the little bitch, but only if you behave like a good little mutt.” She says, her grin widening.
As she announces this with a victory smile, Meeri steps forward.
“This ends today, Sylla.” She says before engaging her in a battle with magic. Blade is captivated by what is going on. He can’t leave. While Meeri and Sylla are battling, he can hear the cries and feel the agony of the wounds of his mate.
‘You better survive this, Abby’ He links her, and gets a short laugh in response.
The moment he is occupied with his mind-link, Sylla cheats and cast a spell while throwing a dagger. The spell is easy to dodge for Meeri, but the dagger hits her right in the heart. Sylla cackles with laughter of her defeat, and in the distance you can hear the howl of agony from Antares when her grandmother takes her last breath.
“The Rising Sun coven is mine.” Sylla says before she turns towards Blade.
