Luna Abigail -
Chapter 37
Unknown P.O.V.
I jumped on when the lousy goddesses transported the mangy crew out of the underworld, and I made sure to be standing in the shadows, but close enough to get the benefit of their spell. They thought themselves to be flawless, but I knew better. They were more clueless than anything.
As we arrived in the upper realm, I cloaked myself in an invisibility spell, so no one saw me sneak out of there. I didn’t need to be a witness for the musy reunion that was bound to happen. I didn’t agree with Keres or Sylla per se, but I did see a point in their perspectives. They were both really power hungry, something I definitely could see the appeal of too. But they both lacked patience and savageness in the power obtaining department.
When I sneaked out of the room, someone came running in my direction from down the hall. I would recognize him anywhere. My ex mate. The reason they banned me from the upper realm, and to stay in the underworld for eternity. Well, hah! Because that didn’t exactly go well.
I roll my eyes at their stupidity. They will never be rid of me. He will never be rid of me! When I had gotten what I came for, I rejected his sorry, stupid and hopeless arse. He was so lost. A lost lovey little puppy. He didn’t even accept my rejection. What was he doing here?
I stayed in the doorway. When he entered the room, I just exited a gasp sounded. This was very interesting indeed. Maybe he felt me? Smelt me? Hm.
Sticking my head in there, I saw him standing very still. His back was to me, but I felt the way his body stiffen. The way he took a deep breath. Then he growled. He did sense me then. I smiled to myself. Maybe I should go another round with him as my play thing? I wouldn’t hurt, and I knew from experience he was well endowed. The smile on my lips turned to a smirk. Yes, I should definitely go another round with him.
I couldn’t see what or who he was looking at, but the growl surprised me. Why would he be growling? He couldn’t see me yet. Amid debating with myself whether to lose the invisibility, he moved. The movement was so quick I almost missed it, and then he said it. The words that should always only be mine! Mate. What the actual f**k! They gave him another mate? NO WAY! He was mine, and MINE ALONE!
The smirk on my lips turned to a scowl. There, in his arms, stood none other than my nemesis! Jasmin. Why?! Of all the f*****g creatures in realms would they choose her? Oh, hell no. I would not stand for this! These arrogant goddesses were going to pay for this.
Then I watched as her useless brother snatched her back from him, putting her behind his back. He was protecting her? Oh, the joy. Finally, that worthless goody-too-shoes brother of hers was to any use! I kept watching as her so-called mate accused her of wanting to harm an innocent. I looked closely at the woman he was so protective of, and I almost howled in joy. Adriana! They mated her to another of those fleabags. Hallelujah!
She looked like herself, but something was off about her. The girl I knew was timid, quiet, and gullible. It had been way too easy to manipulate her back then, but also very fun to watch her try to keep me as her friend at all costs. She had been an excellent practice for later on. My only regret was that I didn’t use her to get closer to Jax back then. He wouldn’t have been able to turn away from her. Yes, she was that pathetic. Not that I would ever have said that to her face. Or actually I said that to her face. Many times.
I get a little lost in my fond memories of the past, and zone out for a bit. But a slap to someone brings be back to reality. That bitch of a princess just hit Jasmin’s mate across the face.
Oh, that’s going to sting. I smile to myself. The princess will be in big trouble now. But as I look on, she does nothing. That cunt doesn’t even defend her so-called mate. I was so pissed off, and I need to cool down my head before doing something drastic.
I take a few deep breaths, trying to calm my inner battle. Why am I so protective of someone I rejected? He is nothing to me. Maybe it’s because seeing him being mated to her. UGH! I hate her with a passion.
I need to get them apart so I can persuade him to give me another chance. I have not yet felt him accept my rejection, so time is on my side. Yes! All I need is to be patient.
I follow the events. Surprised when the little icky Queen actually fights of the curse and poison from the blade. It was a hells blade. Made by the dark goddess herself, poisened with a mixture of belladonna for her magic and silver/wolfsbane for her wolf. The curse was one of the most powerful out there. One even the goddesses will have difficulty fighting of. I am sure they recognized it and Keres will be in big trouble. Well, bigger trouble. They have forbidden it for centuries.
The eques nigris armis amictus curse. Translated, it means the black night curse, and it will spread black veins all around your body, until grabbing your heart and squeeze the life out of you. Taking all the light in your aura and turn it black. Without your light, you can’t live.
Everyone cleared out of the room to give the couple some space. I wanted to vomit at their luck. BAH! She deserved to die! Maybe I should try to reach out to Sylla. She is definitely at favorite of Keres’s at the moment, so perhaps she and I would replace some common ground? All I wanted was Jax and the entire underworld to lie at my feet, worshipping me as their beloved queen, and for Jasmin to be cast into one of the punishment pits for eternity. She wanted the upper realm, and to their queen. We could work together on each of our visions.
Willow’s sister ordered everyone to her office to clear the confusion and disputes. Oh, happy day! I would make sure chaos soon ensued on their disgustingly happy family. Just you wait. I have so many plans. I rub my hands together, plotting and planning everything carefully.
First, I needed the fleabag to forgive me, then I needed people to accept me. That means to play nice and polite. I almost got sick at the thought, but I would do it to ensure I made my revenge complete. Then I needed to break Jasmin and Adriana. It didn’t do for those two to be friends. No, no.
Taking her mate was going to be fun. I wanted to not only break her a little, but to break her to where she was begging for me to kill her. Or her brothers. How fun to watch Jax or Jasper get hurt over and over when she begs them to end her life.
Someone would say I am cruel. But I’m not! I am just making sure I make my own plans and visions a reality. I want something, then I get that something. One way or another. It doesn’t matter how, or why. The end goal is what’s most important. Me as queen, with Jax by my side!
I walked with them to the office. Not wanting to miss any of the fun. In there, people accused one another of all sorts of stuff. The atmosphere was tense, and Jasmin wasn’t even sitting beside her mate. Jasper and Jax made sure of that. Then Willow sat beside my man. She took his hand in hers and thanked him for helping in the battle before. For protecting her sister, and for everything he has ever done for her. He was the one who sent Jasper to look after her when his father kidnapped her initially. I wanted nothing more than to claw her eyes out.
She just sat there. Talking and TOUCHING, my man! How dare she?! She is going to a punishment pit as well when I’m queen. Or dead. Either way; gone!
I kept waiting for Jax to politely take his hand away from her. Telling her its his duty as the crown prince of the underworld to be of assistance. But he kept holding on to it. To her. He kept looking at her like she is the sun in his universe. And that’s when I knew.
I wanted to scream! I wanted to break everything, and most of all; I wanted her dead. Dead, cold and burried. She is his f*****g mate. I can’t believe it. That’s why he ran away and hid all those years. I thought his siblings said it was an old promise? Of course, they lied to protect him. F**k! Why? What had I done to deserve this? I had harmed no one who didn’t deserve it.
I watched as they talked everything through. They never mentioned my name, but looking at the faces of the people from the underworld, I knew they knew. When they decided to use a memory spell, I had to get out of there. I didn’t need to get pulled back, or be there when the came back with the conclusion; I am the bad girl.
Lucky for me the door was ajar, so I snucked out of there. Leaving them to feel like they had won. Just wait. I am only getting started. I enchanted the phials Adriana summoned before leaving the room. But only those two she used for her and Jasmin’s b***d. They were in for a surprise when all of this was over.
I walked down the stairs, down to the main ground. Satisfied with my work so far, and minding my own business when someone stood in my way. He looked directly at me. I stopped dead in my tracks.
“What is it, Mica?” A girl asks, coming up to stand beside the guy.
“Hm. I am not sure. There is a strange aura in the house. It’s been here ever since Mother Morgan returned with the Luna and Queen.” The guy, Mica, answers.
“Strange how?” His companion asks, clearly worried over his reaction.
“I don’t know, yet. We’ll have to get Mother Morgan here.” He says, and they both turn around to walk outside. I release the breath I was holding. The was a close call.
Why could that guy sense me? I had all my aura, scent and sensing blockers up while invisible?! Shaking my head in disbelief, I walk out the same door at the other two.
The grounds are huge, with cottages spread everywhere. It like a new village is building itself around the grand mansion I just exited.
I walk briskly towards the woods. Using my magic to track down Sylla’s whereabouts. As I get closer, I observe guards standing in the treelines, watching out over the forest. They seem vigilant and alert, as if the enemy will attack at any time.
Nearing the treeline, I sense a small blockage, but having been bound to the underworld for the last 5 years, I think nothing of it. No one is as strong as me when it comes to magic. The barrier traps me as I walk through it. What the actual f**k?! I fight with everything I’ve got, but nothing is working. I feel my invisibility spell dissolves, and when my captors arrive, I am fully visible.
“I thought I felt someone jump onto the teleportation in the underworld. And when Selene warned me she had felt you, I knew it was only a matter of time before you would try to leave. Hello Narine.” A witch with glowing eyes says. She smiles, and her eyes glace over.
“Abby says to put her in the enchanted cells, and to be wary of her. She is one slippery one.” The woman says to her fellow coven members.
“Yes, Mother.” They answer. I take another look at the woman. She is young and beautiful. I had to give her that. But something about her is off.
“You are not a pure witch.” I say. It’s not a question, and she smiles.
“No, I’m not.” She answers, but reveals nothing.
“What are you going to do to me?”
“That will be up to Queen Abigail, Luna Ellie and princess Jasmin. I gather you have a lot to make amends for.” We have arrived at the cells.
“Oh, and don’t send for help magically or talk to the guards. Your cell is sealed, so your poisiones words can’t do anything.” She waves and leaves me in the cell. F**K!
